What is Erfworld based on?

OotS is D&D, obviously, and I think Erfworld is some sort of MMORPG, but I can't place it. Or even if there is a specific source. :smallredface:

Erfworld is based on Turn based strategy games, both table top and computer (Like the Warlords Series). The issues of turns, limited movement, and certain generic strategy issues (too much questing leads to poor resource and city management) are familiar to people who have played these games.

And the fact that Parson writes Turn-Based games means he should do well here. Especially if this is his world.
