Jillian and Ansom... Duh!

I've noticed a trend in a lot of threads about potential love interests. So far all of them have been quite far-fetched. Can't anyone see the obvious romantic storyline?

Jillian Zamussels & Prince Ansom are totally in love! Check out page 8 (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/erf0008.html).

The problem between the two of them, though, is that Ansom is too proud and immature, and Jillian doesn't really know what she wants. A truly dysfunctional pairing, certainly, but with enough work they could really hit it off.

I totally hope they get it together. They both have enough dysfunctionalities to make it interesting, but not so many as to make it angsty. :smallbiggrin:

Nah, Ansom likes Jillian and Jillian either completely hates him but has to obey his orders for the gold she gets as a mercenary or likes him but buries her feelings due to what she was taught in barbarian training.

Ansom wants her in a physical sense, that much is certain from the invite to the tent. Whether he truly cares for her or not is stil unknown.

Jillian considered the offer of meeting in the tent, but turned away unsure. If you subscribe to general stereotype, this means that she cares for him, but is not ready for that type of physical relationship. If she didn't care for him, she would not have even considered the meeting in the first place, or would have just gone on in to fulfill her personal desires.

My thinking on this is that Ansom is rather spoiled and used to getting what he wants. He looks on Jillian as a trophy to bag, so to speak. Jillian, on the other hand, seems to have some real feelings towards him.

Ansom is now revealed to be in love with Jillian, and Wanda has now been revealed to have been k-i-s-s-i-n-g Jillian behind a green dwagon. There's a Wanda Ansom Jillian love triangle with Jillian as the one love object loved by two others who hate each other. I believe that Jillian doesn't have any romantic attraction to Ansom, she has romantic feelings for Wanda.

Sorry to contradict some people's ideas.

And: Ansom doesn't understand why Zamussels doesn't love him back, Zamussels believes that Firebaugh does love her back, and Firebaugh... loves power/pain/evil. (I suspect that she has developed some sort of emotional bond, but not anything like what most people would consider "love" and certainly not what Jillian believes/hopes to be the case.)
