Now that's a rug I wouldn't get sick riding.
Oh and Archon, your sig, do you mean 'loses' or 'losses'?
I thought it was a log until it was pointed out here. Rolled carpet is much cooler than a log, or a broomstick. I am still keen on gwiffons though.

I initially thought he had a saddle on the rolled carpet. Closer inspection shows not, though.

yea, i was one for the thinking it was a log. 'cause you know, broomsticks come from logs. it actually made me think of Dragon Ball Z where one of the side villans from Gokus past threw a tree and jumped on it to escape.

Errrrrr, it does have a saddle. It's pretty obvious in panel 11. And also on panel 9.

So it does. I need to practice my closer inspections, apparently.

I wonder if it's enchanted after it's rolled up.
I tend to think of magic carpets as going up if they're right side up and down if they're upside down. That is, the orientation is important.
Rolled up, a carpet that worked like that wouldn't go anywhere as the roll would press in to the middle or out from the center. It would move some if the roll didn't come out even I guess.
Of course if you could get it to squeeze together hard enough with an exceptionally strong "down" command maybe you could get a fusion reaction going... :)
