This program sound familiar?

I remember several months ago seeing an article in the magazine MaximumPC reviewing a program that could be used to create realistic looking gun flares in home movies. I know it's probably a long shot, but anyone have any idea what this product is called?

well, I don't read MaximumPC, so I can't say what program it is...but shouldn't it be in the Archives (http://www.maximumpc.com/articles/Software)?

Thanks, I'll look around on there. I bet if I searched hard enough I still have the hard copy of the magazine... I just wanted to see if anyone knew since I was leaving the house right then to possibly shoot some footage.
