Our theme this month is...
OotS Through the Ages

No, not time-traveling OotS (Hmmm...), no, the theme of this contest is to draw the OOTS characters in different stages of their lives. We've seen Haley's teen years in the comics some, but there's no need to stick to canon. Have at it! Draw Roy as a boy or Belkar in his dotage! As always, we're looking for avatars in the OotS-style, with some tolerance for larger scenes and non-OotS-style stuff.

Remember: All artwork must be your own. Do not take, alter, or use any of the The Giant's art. Thanks. :smallsmile:

As usual there will be a First through Third place award for each of the following, with trophies by Oblivion:

Best OotS Group (Any age or ages) (>1 Character = Group)
Best Erfworld Character (at any age)

And, as always, the Best Overall award.

As usual, I'll be giving the timeless Roland’s Choice Award to the avatarist's creation that most appeals to my, admittedly developing, sensibilities.

Every entry must include a bolded introduction as to what category you are trying to enter in.

I justify the green robe as a bathrobe. Resizing was done in Ifranview. Constructive criticism is more than welcome.

Not bad for a first start, but you should consider drawing the beard a little higher, because now it seems like it's a goatee. One of the eyes is too big, so resize it a little. And enlarge the robe, it looks like Roy hasn't eaten for weeks. :smallbiggrin:
If you do that, I think you would have a pretty good picture.

I did think of making it a Granddaughter but Drawing chicks in fullplate is harder than you would think, but yeah I gave him a ponytail because I spent ages trying to do his hair and it never looked right, then I added a ponytail and it just fitted :smallsmile:

I was considering giving him "Fey-like-qualities" such as Pointed ears or white hair but I decided against it because it would overcrowd the image, bringing attention away from Roy. That and I thought it would be kind of hard.

Anyway you can pretend hes a Quater-Fey.. :smallsmile:

ACtually, elves hit PHYSICAL Maturity at the age of 25. Most elves just don't leave home until after their first century.

I orginally thought it would be the posing that would take the most time, but actually it turned out to be placing the "actors" so there could be room enough for the text that proved to be the biggest challenge.
