Future comics will be longer, this was mainly to introduce most of the main characters.

There is a plot. It just hasnt come forward yet, the first few strips will be mainly introducing characters and other stuff.

One small piece of advice: Speech bubble points only need to point at the head of person speaking, not come directly out of their mouth.
Looks silly. I'll keep an eye on it. Silly humor has it's place in this world. :smallwink:

Is that guy a pogomancer ? like Rex ?
Dallas-Dakota

I'l decide that as soon as I find out and determine the role and usefullness of a pogomancer....
Comic 3- And so the journey begins.

Make sure to save the files as PNG not Jpeg. You get a less grainy effect.

Hmmm, I tried saving it as png. , uploaded it on photobucket and....
http://i119.photobucket.com/albums/o135/legolas-maxx/Darkcavescomic-3-2.jpg
No difference to me...
Yeril

I'd assume its because you opened one you had already saved as Jpeg thus, the "damage was already done".
Heres the difference between two shapes, one saved in Jpeg and one in PNG.

Hmmm, would this qualify as better?(safed as .PNG)

Edit : This picture was only saved as an PNG file.

What yeril said.
Also if you've already saved it as JPG, don't bother taking it back to PNG, there will be no diffrence. So if you've saved it as JPG, you can't make the better quality come back unless you remake/recolour it.
EDIT: Oh wait that's what yeril said... Must've not read well enough... :smallsigh:
Meh... anyway if you've saved it as a JPG already, there's no going back then.
And to me the picture is JPG

I know that feeling, barely anyone coments on my comic, maybe I should make a banner for it so people see it.

You've got a lot of artistic competition, you should try practising some more before opening up an endeavour such as a webcomic.
Really trying not be harsh here...

How big was it before you uploaded it? Photobucket has a habit of resizing big pictures as Jpegs

Poll!
I am trying out the Inkscape guide by Trazoi. If I figure it out how it works and be able to make decent/better art then with Paint. Should I step over?
With Inkscape :
Good : Probably better art
Bad : Will take an undefined time longer to update.
With Paint :
Good : Updates will be weekend-ly, no strange delays and stuff.
Bad : Art remains The same (bad) quality.
So Oppinions PLEASE!?

I vote for InkScape. On average, it takes me a couple hours (2-3) to make a Remember comic in InkScape, so it shouldn't be too hard to keep a weekendly schedule.

I vote for inkscape as well.
But like I did, if you don't know fully how to exactly work on comics with inkscape, keep using paint 'till you get the hang of it.

Hey guys, I just completed the the base, arms and legs and face.
I just noticed it saves as .SVG and canīt save as .IMG or .PNG
With the first not being accepted by photobucket and IMG. or .PNG which I usually work with.
Solutions?
Btw, Trazoi, Great guide!
Argh, somewhere I messed up with the layers:smallfrown:

We should put that part in the guide...
Control + E

URGH.
I canīt save it as anything good!
I tried to open things in Irvanview, to see if I could save them there as a .PNG or .IMG file, but I couldnt see them at all there!(and yes I have looked through both whole lists of options to save as but none match!)
And Photoshack doesnt support any of the sort of files like .SVG!
And Control E just zooms in with me...

maybe
Ctrl-Shift-E.
You can also go to:
File>Emport Bitmap.
Fawkes
02-02-2008, 02:11 AM
In the File menu, there's an option for "Export Bitmap." That's what you want.
At least, that's what I use.
I know that feeling, barely anyone coments on my comic, maybe I should make a banner for it so people see it.
You have a comic?
Dallas-Dakota
02-02-2008, 06:06 AM
Woohooo second page!:smalltongue: :smalltongue: :smalltongue:
I donīt know what I did or how, I think I used Edit- Make a bitmap copy.
Apparently Photoshack also accepts that.
So, my first inkscape creation, you can see that I went off the road at the boats/cloak, and yes I did make a female one, but seperate.
http://i119.photobucket.com/albums/o135/legolas-maxx/Bloody_chef_experimentalsvg-g20968-.png
Edit, yay size went good! And the transparency option which I did in Irvanview also works!

Your art, is now, looking very good. I would like to say, if there is anything white in your image, dont use irfanview for transparency. Just dont add a background in inkscape, and proceed to resize in GIMP.
Dallas-Dakota

I resize in Inkscape.
The hat is white and the transparency thing went fine with me...:smallconfused: :smalltongue:

Your first inkscape avatar was better than mine. I'd like to see your current comic redone with inkscape. I have a feeling it would look alot better.
