Funnily enough, I was just pimping this comic concept to a friend of mine (And sent him the link as soon as I could).

I like the dragon most of all out of this comic. The single line "Is this really necessary?" made my day. This is getting set onto one of my "Home Page tabs". :D

Good luck with this, and I hope you have enough success with this to make you happy (No sense wishing too much or too little success on a person. It's a fragile balance, and I've found the perfect countermeasure).

Edit: Microsoft Paint is an undervalued and under-appreciated tool. To use it to create things others would make with Photoshop is to trounce them.

We know these characters since we (the_Q, Moral Wiz, Nameless, Omicroncubed and JasonDoomsblade) made 'em up. We gave these characters to Mz. Jackel for her webcomic. So, in a way, we are co-creaters.

I also don't think you should change the art style. Sure, it's a little messy. But it makes this comic stand out!

Hmm... I have the sneaky suspicion that we might need to prepare to be underwhelmed.

Listen, lad. I built this kingdom up from nothing. When I started here, all there was was swamp. Other kings said I was daft to build a castle on a swamp, but I built it all the same, just to show 'em. It sank into the swamp. So, I built a second one. That sank into the swamp. So, I built a third one. That burned down, fell over, then sank into the swamp, but the fourth one... stayed up! And that's what you're gonna get, lad: the strongest castle in these islands.

I think Hist should be the leader, since all the others wouldn't make sense. King Kobold might because of his status, but really Hist would be funnier, as it would create a rivielry between the two characters, explianing King's lust for his armour and hope for his death.

You know, Mz. Jackal, you really are great at advertising.
Get people's characters in your comic, and voila, you have your first few readers. They'll all want the comic to be seen by others, so they'll probably advertise as much as they can (by means of banners for instance). And then there'll be loads of people who hear about this who want to be in the comic as well.

I find it quite a pity we haven't seen my character yet, really, but it makes sense. There's only one comic up yet, and the villains are always introduced later in the story. Besides, this way by the time you get to them, your art will have improved a lot and our characters will look awesome right away, as they were meant to be. In order to ever get there though, we're going to have to get this comic moving. :smalltongue:

Comic 3 isn't by far as funny as comic 2 or 1. It also seems to come sort of out the blue. One minute the villains are discovered by the heroes, and the next the heroes are in some town hiring a cleric, as if the hero team wasn't big enough already! Did the heroes just move on, ignoring the immenent threat? Did the villains just move on as well, or lose them???

The cone of cold wasn't by far as witty as, say, king kobold and that other guy just sitting back as their pals fight. Oh, and it's too early to be makin' Thog jokes.

It's not bad, per se, but it's a lot less good than 1 and 2.
I know I'm a grumpy bastard, but this is basically honest feedback.

Sylvia is based on a druid character of the same name in a hand drawn comic I do. She doesn't use healing spells, but more of Summoning and Evocation spells like Call Lightning and whatnot. Still whatever, HotH isn't my comic so my complaining won't do much.

Also, in comic number 4 you will find out how getting the cleric is relevant to the villians. You just need to be paitent!

I was actually referring to the fact that they just got from one place to the other without anything happening in between, like a showdown between the villains and the heroes, or an explanation how they managed to avoid them, or a reason for the villains not to act. I can see how hiring the cleric fits into the plot just fine.

Try Trazoi's guide, it makes a lot more sense then.
And you can import characters so they can stay the same, or you can edit them and you can use group tools and ungroup, you can make things see-through and blurred..... And so much more!

Just takes a bit more time...
