Jon Irenicus, from Baldur's Gate II, in any fantasy universe with either the Black Ring the One Ring, or both of them, would probably be a god-like character.

I was wondering at what point does Irenicus become capable of challenging the top contenders of any Fantasy universe?

I.. am not sure. Come on, Irenicus is mighty, but not as mighty as many other wizards in the Realm. Alastor could probably kick his asses, so does Elminster.

Now, give Alastor The Ring... hehe..

Give Raistlin the Ring.. hehehehehe...

Huh. Good question. Irenicus nearly Xanatos Gambited himself into godhood so give him the One Ring and I can easily see him going all 'Dark Lord of Suldanesselar' on Faerun.
