I've just made my first Dungeons and Dragons character, and he is from the World of Warcraft universe! I'd really, really appreciate an avatar of him! :)

Race : Jungle Troll
Class : Level 1 Shaman

Appearance : Like most of the Jungle trolls, Ney'jin has a very light blue colored skin. His body is very athletical and muscular. His tusks are of a medium length. His hair is red - two sharp forelocks above his eyes, spiky back. At the end the hair is split into three braids with white beads.
He has 5 javelins and a shaman mask. He also has a necklace from the teeth of a wolf and a wooden amulet. You can make him holding his masks in the lesft hand and a javeling in his right hand.

Any other notable features: If possible, make her look like my currant avatar. Only evil, not sad. For those of you familiar with the Town, and have been to my/Moon Called's house, then you will know of her cross-race disposition. So basically, this is the Drow form of Moon Called. The current one is an Elf. (:P) She should be wearing a white, blood stained skirt and shirt, incredibly torn. Red, evil looking eyes.

I'd like to request a parody to the opening line of the song "Oklahoma, where the wind comes sweeping down the plain."

That line gives me a funny image of a humanoid air elemental holding a broomstick.
Gender: Doesn't matter, elementals are usually androgynous, but I guess a feminine approach would be preferred.
Equipment: Basic wooden broomstick with straw bristles. Even though october's almost over, I can also see the elemental wearing a smoky or solid black witch's hat.
X If their skin is a special color, add that: Medium to dark grey
Hair color: Light grey, fairly short length. If this grey combination doesn't seem like it will look good, feel free to try other colors including blues.
Race: Air elemental, obviously
X Class: I dunno, commoner?
X Pose you would like your avatar to be in: Holding the broomstick diagonally as if in a sweeping motion, with a smile.

I'm quite impressed with the work shown here, so I'd be glad if someone feels like doing one for me. Okay, frankly, I have 2 requests:

1) male human fighter, brown hair(necklong to shoulder long, as you like), chain mail and sword, maybe also carrying a shield.
This will be my name giver, a proud RPG character of mine who was despite being a high-trained knight always quite bad luck in battles and died quite soon. To show this I thought of putting him in a heroic pose like raising the sword to the sky but being attached to a drip at the same time or having the other arm in bandage, or any other fun idea you have.

2) the second one would be my dog and our official band-rowdy(spelling intended). Here I can make the description easier, dog and pose can be found here: http://fotos.web.de/blaze1/axel Just click on the thumbnail for a big view.

If 2 requests seem to be too unhumble the dog would be more important to me.

That line gives me a funny image of a humanoid air elemental holding a broomstick. Legs are optional.:wink:

Clothing wise a victorian-style dress would be in keeping with the concept.

Having seen the many avatars and such on these forums, I figured this would be the place to come.
It being a portrait, I would like it in a larger image than an avatar of signature pic.

My character is a Grippli (Dragon 324). A race of humanoid treefrogs of comparable size to a halfling. (no hair btw)

His weapons are a machete, which he weilds with both hands, a bolas, and a composite "longbow" (a humans shortbow which is a longbow to him).

His skin is an icy blue tone, due to an air elemental bloodline, and has big orange eyes with thin line pupils. No other major features.

Hi. I want a character portrait drawn in the style of OotS.
Having seen the many avatars and such on these forums, I figured this would be the place to come.
It being a portrait, I would like it in a larger image than an avatar of signature pic.

My character is a Grippli (Dragon 324). A race of humanoid treefrogs of comparable size to a halfling. (no hair btw)

His weapons are a machete, which he weilds with both hands, a bolas, and a composite "longbow" (a humans shortbow which is a longbow to him).

His skin is an icy blue tone, due to an air elemental bloodline, and has big orange eyes with thin line pupils. No other major features.

Anyone willing to do this: thanks ahead of time.

I've been wanting to join the Town. It always helps me start a character when I have a picture for them!

If someone wouldn't mind? I'm not very picky, really. I'm thinking female, color of hair is optional though I do want it to be long and preferably curly. A long dress and belled sleeves would be nice, but again, the color is entirely optional. If she could have a young boy, about 2ish, in her arms/propped on her hip that would be great!

I'm quite impressed with the work shown here, so I'd be glad if someone feels like doing one for me. Okay, frankly, I have 2 requests:

1) male human fighter, brown hair(necklong to shoulder long, as you like), chain mail and sword, maybe also carrying a shield.
This will be my name giver, a proud RPG character of mine who was despite being a high-trained knight always quite bad luck in battles and died quite soon. To show this I thought of putting him in a heroic pose like raising the sword to the sky but being attached to a drip at the same time or having the other arm in bandage, or any other fun idea you have.

2) the second one would be my dog and our official band-rowdy(spelling intended). Here I can make the description easier, dog and pose can be found here: http://fotos.web.de/blaze1/axel Just click on the thumbnail for a big view.

If 2 requests seem to be too unhumble the dog would be more important to me.

I assume the 117x169 is because the size is 'locked' and there *should* be an option to unlock it. If not just copy>paste the avatar into a new 177x117 square. I have yet to learn AI so I might have no idea what I'm talking about :smallwink:

I found the easiest way to resize an image in AI is exactly as Ego Slayer suggested. Make a new 117x117 file. Copy the image (or layers) and resize accordingly.

If someone has the "real" or "better" way of doing this, please share. I know I've looked all over for it.

That will probably work. I am actually using Paint.net (thanks to Tin) since I can't afford AI, but it probably works about the same way. I do like how the lines look very smooth.

In Paint.Net, go to Image->Resize and there will be a checkbox called "Maintain Aspect Ratio". Unchecking this will allow you to set your sizes exactly but may squash or stretch an image. Other image programs are similar.

A better idea is to crop the image (that is, select a perfect square area), crop to selection, then resize it.

Another solution is that it sounds like your image is taller than it is wide. Resize the height to 117 and the width may be less than 117 but it should still look okay.

My thought would be some sort of Viking dude (the stereotypical horned helmet) in the self depreciating order of the stick sort of style.

Sigurd the Volsung is the hero that kills Fafnir the dragon in the Norse tale of the Nibelung. I make no such pretense to greatness but It would be fun to have a little viking to call my own.

I'd have a smaller version (117x117), but it didn't look quite right resized. You'd be better off to copy just the head and paste that into a new, avatar sized image.

And it'd look better, but I remembered as I was starting that this is an OOTS forum, so it doesn't have to be reallistic. Sadly, my less-detailed dragons look much worse, so sorry if it's less than you expected.

-black big angel wings in his back
-has a large katana in hand (red steel/and runes glowing white in it)
-red lanter hanging from chain in other hand
-Hakus mask from naruto except only a tear paint under left eye
-"sharingan" eyes glows red under the mask

Pose:
-jumps away from red flames ("towards you")

PS: dont have to be OOTS style :P

Hello all,

I'm quite impressed with the work shown here, so I'd be glad if someone feels like doing one for me. Okay, frankly, I have 2 requests:

1) male human fighter, brown hair(necklong to shoulder long, as you like), chain mail and sword, maybe also carrying a shield.
This will be my name giver, a proud RPG character of mine who was despite being a high-trained knight always quite bad luck in battles and died quite soon. To show this I thought of putting him in a heroic pose like raising the sword to the sky but being attached to a drip at the same time or having the other arm in bandage, or any other fun idea you have.

2) the second one would be my dog and our official band-rowdy(spelling intended). Here I can make the description easier, dog and pose can be found here: http://fotos.web.de/blaze1/axel Just click on the thumbnail for a big view.

If 2 requests seem to be too unhumble the dog would be more important to me.

That version is not 117 by 117. If you plan on using it your sig, use that one (and if not, at least use it until avatars are enabled again).

If you want to use it as your avatar after avatars are working again, then use this slightly cutoff 117 by 117 version.
