Happy Thanksgiving, Canadian Playgrounders!
By the way, do you guys celebrate it with a turkey dinner or do you do something different? Just curious.

Dragon, imma stab you.
And yes, it's a family turkey dinner. Except for me; I decided to work for an American company. So the rest of the family is likely on pie by now.

To any UK (or really anyone) guys/gals who don't have access to pumpkin pie... Neener neener neeeeener! :smalltongue:
Same goes for pecan pie!
@V: If this forum had an evil smirk smiley, I'd use it. For now I'll just use... :smallamused:

Come on, man. I'm all for taking other people's misfortune and rubbing it in, but this is going too far. Pie is serious business.

Joyeux action de grace tout le monde! Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
For Thanksgiving I'm going to be (hopefully) celebrating it with my parents and also be celebrating their one year anniversary. What should I get them for their paper anniversary? :smalltongue:

I was thinking of no thanksgiving. We don't have thanksgiving here. We don't care. We never had random pilgrims slaughter natives and share their food with them afterwards. :smalltongue:

I'd respond, but I suddenly suspect that you are far too young to post here.

What was your suggestion for a present for my mom and step-father? :smallamused:

That I did. 'Twere my own fault for that assumption. I do consider my step-father as my father though (as we have similar personalities and humour).

That one sorts it out a wee bit more.
As for paper, alas, I have not any ideas.

Ya, I'm stumped. I just don't want to leave at "Happy Anniversary! Here's your card!" That would be... lame...
... I wonder if I have any crayons...
Hmm...

What about a print webcomic? Girl Genius is pretty accessible, and hilarious.
Or, more grounded, a trio of A-list books. Three, so that each can pick one, and if one finishes fast, he or she can go to the extra one.
Maybe get a family portrait reframed, then hand them a toonie and claim you only bought the "paper" (the picture), from them.
Things made of paper:
Books. Books are good.
Fans. A nice decorative Chinese or Japanese fan.
Money is made of paper. So are cheques.
An unframed painting, or print is made of paper.
Photographs are printed on (special) paper. How about an enlargement of a lovely photo you've taken of them?
Edit: I see afroakuma and I are thinking along similar lines.
Origami kit? An ornament made from papier mache? (You could make it yourself and save money.)

So do us Canadians. I don't see where you're going with that.

We in the UK don't have thanksgiving. We're not a terribly thankful people, to be honest. Plus, all our natives were wiped out millennia ago, so we don't have anyone to share food with.

well, you implied that you have pumpkin pie because of thanksgiving, and that us Brits don't.

So, I couldn't get into Toronto to visit my parents for their anniversary/Thanksgiving. Stupid not being able to afford a ticket in (without starving 'til my next pay). :smallsigh:
So far for Thanksgiving, I've had waffled pancakes that my sister made for breakfast. They were more like desert crepes for thickness but still nummy.
May be having dinner with my uncle and Gramma later today but I haven't heard word from my Gramma.
