The Ultra-Brick Awards. Round 2
With the Brick Awards Run-Off, 392 was declared the highly contested Golden Brick, and 63 strips were left with no votes whatsoever, after two entire tournaments. After a third tournament, 14 strips are presented that have never had a vote cast for them. We're here at the bottom of the barrel to find the most ignored bricks. They cry out - "Love me, please!". I give you the Ultra-Brick Awards.
Here we start to find some fun. When I piled the 14 strips together, it made more sense to use a single round of 14. So, we begin the single vote rounds (We all knew we'd end up here eventually). Each round consists of a single vote. This round is still a vote for the most-favorite! Please bold your votes, like this. The winner of that vote is declared a Fools-Golden Brick - no further voting needed. Any bricks simply move onto the next round. Until we get down to less than 4 bricks. In the event that this ends with a round with no bricks, the strip(s) with the fewest votes will be declared Super-Bricks, and in the event of multiple super-bricks, a final vote of least-favorite will determine the Ultra-Brick. So without further ado, I present to you the Ultra-Brick Awards:
This is Round 2 and in this round there are 14 bricks remaining. This round will consist of a single vote! The lowest strip remaining is 433 and the highest strip remaining is 984.
902 - Mr. Sandman, Give Me a Scream
586 - No Encounter is an Island Unto Itself
495 - (Eu)gene Therapy
847 - Dropping the Ball
513 - Security Deposit
749 - Savings and Trust
790 - Unfamiliar
579 - What They Need is a Writ of Habeas Corpus
528 - The Ghost Screamer
924 - Resource Management
433 - Resource Management
728 - The Price of Yummies
984 - Hence the Fence
792 - Animal Instincts
Voting closes at 10:00 am PDT, 11/8/2016 - And then you're stuck with it for four years. Well - maybe you can edit your post. But there will be a note saying you edited it!
Re: The Ultra-Brick Awards. Round 2
Well...
I've whittled it down to sand in Belkar's shorts, the flinging of Enriqué's codpiece and an adorable tumbling gnome.
Life is all about the hard choices.
I usually have a "Belkar Trumps All" rule. But I also have a soft spot for gnomes.
Yeah, that little gnome is just too adorable. I vote for #984.
Re: The Ultra-Brick Awards. Round 2
790 Like Thrym, my reasons are my own.
Unlike Thrym, I need to use at least 10 characters for my words to count.
Re: The Ultra-Brick Awards. Round 2
433, because they're the bad guys.
Re: The Ultra-Brick Awards. Round 2
I love Gannji's work ethics in #728.
Re: The Ultra-Brick Awards. Round 2
I think I'll go with #513, but each round this choice gets harder.
Re: The Ultra-Brick Awards. Round 2
728, because bounty hunters need love too.
"I'm not going to tarnish our fine profession of beating people unconscious and dragging them across international borders with petty fraud!"
Re: The Ultra-Brick Awards. Round 2
Resource Management. I like them both. Normally I'm biased towards Belkar, but it seems I have a soft spot for Miron too. “Let's go kill some dudes.” So, 924.
Re: The Ultra-Brick Awards. Round 2
790 for the reintroduction of Qarr.
Re: The Ultra-Brick Awards. Round 2
Re: The Ultra-Brick Awards. Round 2
I'll go 847, It's a nice little scene.
Re: The Ultra-Brick Awards. Round 2
433 for being halfway competent, duck duck goose, :redcloak: "We're the bad guys, remember?", and goblin life insurance.

U.S. Presidential election - the "winner" gets the job for four years and all U.S. citizens are stuck with him/her for those four years.

Yeah, our voting finishes on the 8th, same day as this round of the awards.
Re: The Ultra-Brick Awards. Round 2
495. Enrique is a great one-ff character.

Considering his single appearance made it this far, I'd say you're right-ish. He certainly serves his purpose.
Two days left! Get out and vote!

Eh, we've hit the part where the strips that stand on their own merits are thin on the ground. But there's one I think stands a fair piece above the rest: #790.
Re: The Ultra-Brick Awards. Round 2
Today, we see what happens when we pit a http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g6...mileysmall.png character who fights petty fraud against a http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g6...rs/Yukyuk2.png hunter that shoots arrows at kittens. In one corner, we have a strong individual who cares deeply about (his) balanced budget, bringing criminals to justice, reducing bureaucracy, overthrowing dictators, and ensuring half dragon orcs have proper nutrition. In the other corner we have a unique individual who hunts kittens and who's job experience includes being Mr. Scruffy's Litter Box. We can all see who would win this election.
I voted for the third party choice - Codpiece flinging has been a major issue for me. So I place a vote for Enrique and 495 - (Eu)gene Therapy.
That leaves http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y28...rdent/qarr.gifhttp://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g6...rs/Yukyuk2.png790 - Unfamiliar the fools-golden brick. We pick up 6 bricks for Round 3. The 1-votes are being tracked and will be on the summary thread for you to be amazed and summarized!.
