D&D WW(Now Recruiting)
This is the story life and death, this is the story of peace and chaos, this is the story of Gragilehollow.
Quote:
All had been peaceful in Gragilehollow. It was a small village that rarely saw a adventurer passing through. Trouble never came to Gragilehollow. Not once, until that fateful day.
It was a week until the Spring Renewal Festival. Mayor Hipen was just waking from a deep slumber when a terrible scream broke the peaceful morning.
Dressing quickly, Mayor Hipen the 3rd ran out of his to join the throng of onlookers who were looking toward where the scream had come.
As they watched, a dark thunder cloud seemed to flow over the village. But no thunder nor lightning accompanied it.
Fear gripped the village, and was intensified by what came next. Skeletons! Followed soon after by shambling Zombies! The village scattered in panic, running for the safety of their homes. But there would be no protection from who followed next.
Three men on horseback followed slowly after the army of undead. A person in darkest black armor, that seemed to swallow the daylight into it. A smaller person, wearing no armor, but a cape of blood red with strange black symbols covering it. And finally, a large humanoid, wearing a hooded robe that covered it's face completely. Only red eyes glowed from beneath.
Mayor Hipen made a quick decision. He sent his most loyal friend, the pixie Lex, to find heroes to protect the village. He only hoped she would find them in time.
The battle for Gragilehollow is about to begin. Will you join in the defense, or help to destroy it?
Welcome to D&D WW. This is the first game of this series, and hopefully there will be many more to come. Story by the Amazing Pixie Lex-Kat

Re: D&D WW(Now Recruiting)
I'll be in. I won't read the rules, but I'll be in. Also, I'll make an early pretense at RPing, but will swiftly lose attention, and start to make comments without RP and votes. Then I'll be night killed by the Wolves.

Re: D&D WW(Now Recruiting)
You guys can Pm me your races you know.
-
Re: D&D WW(Now Recruiting)
What do you mean with a "PM chain"?
-
Re: D&D WW(Now Recruiting)
I'm curious, too. What is a PM chain?
Also, depending on time-constraints, and when this starts, I'm in. If I'm allowed.
First WW, though, unless you count... nevermind, don't count it. Anyways, as a first timer, I'm fuzzy on the rules, so I may end up ruthless, or dead soon, or just riding on coat-tails. :smallcool:

Re: D&D WW(Now Recruiting)
I think I'll join this game.
I think the PM Chain for the race is a version of the burst message. You can send a message to all members of your race without knowing who is the recipient. Though if this is the case then can someone wait until they get their role for then the wolves could easily choose one of each race and listen to all conversations.
-
Re: D&D WW(Now Recruiting)
Uh....wouldn't it make more sense for everyone to pick races before to wolves knew they were wolves? That way there's a chance at all that there won't be a wolf of each race.

This is what I think it is, but is it an optional thing?

Re: D&D WW(Now Recruiting)
Pm chain is where I give you a list of the people in the race. The you start a group of Pm with those people. The point of this is extra communication and if you're really lucky, it might just be all villagers in one group.
You are Pming me your race when you sign up.

Depends on how the groups work out.
-
Re: D&D WW(Now Recruiting)
In that case I might suggest setting up a quicktopic for each race.

Btw, if all we know is X, Y and Z are also dwarfs/halflings/humans, but no race has anything special or is restricted to a class, then I don't see the need for it.
-
Re: D&D WW(Now Recruiting)
I do have something planed but I can't tell you. Thx for the quick topic thing.

Ok. In then.

Re: D&D WW(Now Recruiting)
I might point out there's a missing enter on the player list already. Minor detail.
I'll also ask, when do you want those racial PMs? Now? or after closing recruitment?
-
Re: D&D WW(Now Recruiting)
Yeah, I'm in. I'll send you my race PM soon.

Re: D&D WW(Now Recruiting)
There's also 8 9 players now. This might help out, just quote me and copy it:

Thx. Gray Mage and Everybody for your help.:amused::vaarsuvius:

Re: D&D WW(Now Recruiting)
Count me in
I assume this is a no PM game then? Cause otherwise picking races would be pointless. Will the wolves be able to PM each other?
-
Re: D&D WW(Now Recruiting)
They have their own quick topic. Pm me your race please!!
-
Re: D&D WW(Now Recruiting)
Uh, what's a quick topic?
-
Re: D&D WW(Now Recruiting)
This is what was given when asked how to make one:

A quick topic is shortly a secure message board (like here, but secure). It may be anonymous, too. I dunno. I doubt.
But, it's a conversation (like here), but only those specifically signed up for the specific topics can even see the topics, I assume. Only those who've been given the URLs to the topic can reach them. So each race gets a secure channel through which they can talk without the other races knowing, and the wolves get one too.
I assume Hipen3 will give us the required entry into url for each quick topic via PM once the game starts.
