Re: [Nexus] Nexus OOC VIII: Portable Atrocities
*shrug* Try it and see. If it doesn't work, then it'll drop off the front page and not be in anyone's way. If it does, then people are having fun on it, and good for them.
I wouldn't participate, but see no problem with it overall.

Re: [Nexus] Nexus OOC VIII: Portable Atrocities
Alright
It'll be up in a few minutes

Re: [Nexus] Nexus OOC VIII: Portable Atrocities
I can see it right now.
Glorious and bloody battles.
Heroes and villains constantly clashing.
The wartorn ground ripped to pieces by shells.
It would end with an epic battle between two organizations.
Then the HALO members will poke their heads out of their curtained, fancy castle and ask, if the war over yet. :smallwink:

Anyway, it will be interesting to see 7 groups fighting each-others

Re: [Nexus] Nexus OOC VIII: Portable Atrocities
Rae is a member of GLoG and LANTERN, how would that work if he were to try to get into War Island?
-
Re: [Nexus] Nexus OOC VIII: Portable Atrocities
I should prolly come up with birthdays for my characters. Namely, Garrett, because the PACK thing says he leaves PACK when he turns 16.

Pick one? Krystal's in the same boat.

Does anybody actually age around here?

Butler does! He started out at 32 of his 40 year life span and has recently hit his 34th birthday!

Re: [Nexus] Nexus OOC VIII: Portable Atrocities
Children who are born to PCs tend to age unnaturally fast. And then there's time travel, which caused me to have a character who was introduced at age 17 eventually return as a shrivelled old woman to be murdered by her old nemesis. But in general, not much aging of adults happens.
@ Butler: Does aging still apply to someone who has returned from the dead?

Yes. I have one character aging very rapidly, and many aging at a normal rate. Also one character who was involved with time travel, getting ~20 years older.

Of course. You can only raise dead those who didn't die from old age, remember? :smalltongue:

Re: [Nexus] Nexus OOC VIII: Portable Atrocities
Huh...
You know what would be cool. If someone tried to explain Nexus' time:smallamused:
It'd be like trying to read AMEN's membership contract.
-
Re: [Nexus] Nexus OOC VIII: Portable Atrocities
It's freeform. There'd have to be a generally accepted rule on resurrections for me to remember that, silly. :smalltongue:

Re: [Nexus] Nexus OOC VIII: Portable Atrocities
Wait...but Adele's 3 quarters elf...won't she age three times as slowly as Garrett?
Wait, Garrett has mephit blood. Do mephits have a long natural life-span? They are outsiders.

They're 15, they're not going to think that far ahead:smalltongue:

Re: [Nexus] Nexus OOC VIII: Portable Atrocities
And this is why the tales of human-elf love always end sadly.
-
Re: [Nexus] Nexus OOC VIII: Portable Atrocities
My characters do, but given Exalted lifespan can be measured in the hundreds of years (possibly thousands) that doesn't mean much. :smalltongue:

Re: [Nexus] Nexus OOC VIII: Portable Atrocities
Aren't vampires awesome, Happy?

Re: [Nexus] Nexus OOC VIII: Portable Atrocities
All of my characters that have been around for over a year have aged appropriately. Only Tobias and Sam have a specific birthday, but Matt, Angela, and Kevin have a general month where I start calling them older.
Children tend to age to adolescence and adulthood in a matter of months, but I usually just bring in versions from the future in order to give them several years of normalish childhood.
I have one character (a golden dragon) who has aged an an accelerated rate because she was cursed from birth to do so.
-
Re: [Nexus] Nexus OOC VIII: Portable Atrocities
Except for Tessa's time travel, all of my characters have aged according to the amount of time that's passed. It's just that it doesn't really show on adults. 27 isn't all that different from 25, ya know?
-
Re: [Nexus] Nexus OOC VIII: Portable Atrocities
I haven't been around long enough for any of my characters to really age. >.>
But when I have they sure will. At least, the younger ones will. :smallconfused:

Ridiculous? Not really. If you play vampire characters, you're going to eventually run into illusionist who knows sunlight, just like every ewerewolf is going to run into someone capable of summoning silver elementals eventually. I know you don't want the Riverside takeover to end before it began, but giving Gabriel plot armor is probably not the solution. Plus, Sefrine would never kill anyone. Torture, psychological and otherwise, is much better. :smalltongue:

I needed Gabriel in good condition at that point though

Re: [Nexus] Nexus OOC VIII: Portable Atrocities
Illusory sunlight usually isn't exactly as potent as real sunlight.
-
Re: [Nexus] Nexus OOC VIII: Portable Atrocities
Sefrine is using light and she is a vampire...
Shouldn't she be burned by it as well, unless she is an accursed shiny in which case I'm pretty sure all the other vampires will attempt to decapitate her on sight.
-
Re: [Nexus] Nexus OOC VIII: Portable Atrocities
Dangit, you caught me. Sefrine is, in fact, a satire of Twilight. She acts completely sweet and braindead, but is in fact self-absorbed, emotionless and likes screwing with people by making them love her. Just like a Twilight vampire, but more honest!:smalltongue:
Also, RPG, will a fight between Sefrine and Ghar be in any way winnable? She's equivalent of a 5th level vampire mage, but lacking some vampire abilities (transforming for instance).

...
Does this mean she sparkles?
Because Rot will literally start a crusade to murder her to death if she does. :smallyuk:

Well Ghar is a 1000+ year old archmage. But don't worry, he's just going to teach her a lesson. No one messes with his apprentice.
