I won't change my action because this thing can one-shot me on a slightly above average roll, and I have no ranged attacks yet :smalleek:
He might and nice job remembering the web lol
Strength check vs dc 16 I believe.
[roll0] If it fails its unable to take action. It receives [roll1] damage regardless of if it succeeds attacks to Maynard
Attack [roll2]
Damage [roll3]
Attack [roll4]
Damage [roll5]
edit oh damn didnt think it would have broken through.

Correct its acting now

Re: (3.5 OOC) End of Fate
le ouch. I probably should've tried the invis potion beforehand I guess. I'm gonna wait to see what Eria's action is before choosing mine. I definitely don't like my chances at beating that thing in a fight.

Re: (3.5 OOC) End of Fate
Wasn't breaking out an action, so even on success he can't attack?

Man I just keep on messing up lol My brain was thinking of difficult terrain so it registered it as just hindered and since it didnt move I was like it still can attack but nope your right. It functions more like an entangle spell. It should have taken a full round action.
My bad guys  so yep zlefin you didnt take any damage. Ill fix ic b now

Re: (3.5 OOC) End of Fate
He could also attack the web first and if it breaks go after Maynard (or even go after Maynard but remain stuck), just not break out with an action and then attack, I think.
That was my interpretation of how it works anyway.
-
Re: (3.5 OOC) End of Fate
do you have any more web uses? if you do our best strat is probably to hit it with another web and start fleeing. hmmm, I just realized something, I can use my lay on hands healing to heal the nonlethal from prolonged hustling which removes the fatigue, enabling me to run. Can we assume my char thought of that and did so already?

I rped it as it breaking out and missing due to it being hindered. Im treating it like the entangle for needing to use a full round action to break free.

We can. Just need some extra info due to certain creatures wanting to devour people using light magic. Like when do you use it also do you do any actions before and after? Because you might attract a horde potentially
-
Re: (3.5 OOC) End of Fate
oh, well, then it's probably not worth doing, as attracting a horde sounds fatal. all in all this is getting annoying, and all this because people didn't follow the actual plan I explicitly stated and did something else instead, annoying misunderstandings.
-
Re: (3.5 OOC) End of Fate
I have one more use of web. I'll hit it with it, but then we should get out.
-
Re: (3.5 OOC) End of Fate
[roll0] vs breaking out of the web [roll1] damage is taken. If he can't break out that is enough distance to be able to withdraw, I believe. Is Maynard going to drink the invisibility potion at all?

Re: (3.5 OOC) End of Fate
we don't know how many more foes we may face or how long the potion lasts, then again this thing might have a higher movespeed than i'd guess. thoughts?
It's unclear to me just how long the earlier wilderness run (when the wraith was running in my body) lasted, nor was it clear that I was even able to so readily break its control or that there was even a chance to try. I'm surprised we never met up with the Captain's group, because they should've been near the area so we should've run into them at some point.

Finally this site loaded been trying for days :smallannoyed:
1 The wraith ran you until nightfall so you were a couple extra hours away from the village.
2 Yeah the captains group made it back to the village before nightfall. If you guys werent distrubed and were able to just go straight back to the village you would arrive roughly at 2am at the speed you were moving. If it wasnt as hard of a movement you would normally arrive at 4am.
[roll0] [roll1] If the umbrella doesnt make it you manage to successfully escape
edit noice the webs have him fully trapped now.

Re: (3.5 OOC) End of Fate
is using detect evil going to attract unwatned attention in the same manner that using lay on hands would? or not because it's a sufficiently mild effect? if not then I'll use it to scan everything in the area and the cellar.

Nope it wouldnt. Lay on hands is just a tad to much. But not that it seems to matter. Because at this point you should be able to use it.:smalleek::smalleek::smalleek:

Did you guys want gerald staying back? lol I thought you four were going to be the ones heading out?
-
Re: (3.5 OOC) End of Fate
I'm sorry I wasn't clear, but I was also doing detect evil before even going into the shack, if that changes anything.

I assumed that you would tbh. But the house was kinda like a Venus fly trap. Until the moment you stepped in the creature wouldn't have removed the door. You also would have been swarmed with evil all around and wouldn't be able to tell it was slightly evil until you stepped inside to inspect if the cellar was evil. kinda like you were in a pool of water but couldn't tell someone peed in it until you got to that spot. If that makes more sense lol. But currently the only real threat you feel is in the cellar. Nothing else. :smallwink: the place you're in doesn't seem to be purposely trying to directly harm you. (More under the lingering aura.) Can't reveal to many details on the current situation but if you need to ask a particular question, I'll try answering the best i could without metagaming the house

Re: (3.5 OOC) End of Fate
Well take gerald with us this time. We gotta have someone to leash us in if things go crazy.

A mix of sitting down, trying (but failing) to sleep and pacing around like a caged animal.

Re: (3.5 OOC) End of Fate
do the demons/undead outside the windows register as evil via detect evil? Maynard is suspicious of the accuracy of the displays of outside. Also wanna knowledge check to verify that both demons AND devils are present in the things 'appearing' outside. Because a mix of both that aren't fighting would be very suspicious.

Yes detect evil does register them. It seems like looking outside is accurate. But the creatures arent fighting one another. Maybe slightly wary but not activeky hostile towards one another. The landscape outside is still dark and grey (Kinda like this)

Players: No.

Re: (3.5 OOC) End of Fate
@zlefin, to give you an idea, Eria lost 4 points of Con which is where most of the damage came from. After subtracting con loss, the only real HP loss is about 5 points.
