Re: [ACRO] Outside VIII: We cater birthday parties
Drats. Even with opposable thumbs, a cat his size still has trouble with glasses. Mostly just because of the size of his paw. He has to use both front ones. And walking with one is right out.
"Ummm... sure?" Might as well. But if they do go, he'll set his glass down for the time being rather than trying to carry it and walk.

Re: [ACRO] Outside VIII: We cater birthday parties
[The train]
The hooded folk keep talking in Spanish, and one of them starts to get up before being pulled back into their seat.
-
Re: [ACRO] Outside VIII: We cater birthday parties
[Ashna's World]
Brendan appears to be asleep, now, but he's watching the hooded people discreetly though not-quite-closed eyes. :smalltongue:

Re: [ACRO] Outside VIII: We cater birthday parties
{Gersemi's Isle}
Noticing the difficulty, Melody picks up his glass and carries it to the barn for him.
She takes him to the barn. This is my room. She shows him the loft where Patrick Charles had stayed. So if you need anything from me during your stay, this is where you'll usually find me.
This is also where we feed the sheep. She points to one of the wooly creatures.
Milk? She offers Reinholdt his glass.
-
Re: [ACRO] Outside VIII: We cater birthday parties
{Gersemi's Isle}
Reinholdt again takes the glass to drink.
"You sleep in the barn? Was there not enough room in the hut?"
Reinholdt looks at the sheep. Better than cows and some lame cheezburger joke. "Any particular reason for sheep?" As opposed to the other animal choices.
-
Re: [ACRO] Outside VIII: We cater birthday parties
[Train Car]
The hooded people seem to be guessing at something, and laughing, their earlier seriousness forgotten.
Ashna is starting to wake up at the noise and movement.
-
Re: [ACRO] Outside VIII: We cater birthday parties
{Gersemi's Isle}
I used to stay in the house. You'll have my old room. I found I liked it better out here.
See the hole in the roof. She points at a rather large hole. You can see the stars from my bed through it. I like to watch them druing the night.
Someday, I plan to put a glass window in so I can move the bed directly underneath. She takes a drink.
And why not sheep?
-
Re: [ACRO] Outside VIII: We cater birthday parties
[Train Car]
Brendan turns his head torwards Ashna, and watches her as she awakes, still with one eye watching the group through periphial vision.
-
Re: [ACRO] Outside VIII: We cater birthday parties
{Gersemi's Isle}
He shrugs at the sheep thing. "No reason."
He looks at the hole. "I always... loved the moon. Don't know why. Know I always wanted to live there though."
Hmm... "Your room? How long were you planning for me to stay?"
-
Re: [ACRO] Outside VIII: We cater birthday parties
[Train car]
Good day Mr. Brown . Let's see, how long have we been on here? A long while. They're heading in to the last stop.
One of the hooded people stands up and starts walking towards their end of the car.
-
Re: [ACRO] Outside VIII: We cater birthday parties
{Gersemi's Isle}
Melody shrugs. As long as you need to. I want to try to help you.
-
Re: [ACRO] Outside VIII: We cater birthday parties
{Gersemi's Isle}
"Why?" Suspicious, self-depreciating Reinholdt is working overdrive in his mind right now, trying to find some flaw or ulterior motive. Cause he most certainly isn't good enough to deserve help.
-
Re: [ACRO] Outside VIII: We cater birthday parties
{Gersemi's Isle}
Because you are alive and in need of healing. If you don't heal, the wound will fester and create more pain.
If I neglect it, I will be allowing pain to happen. I refuse to not try. Melody looks determined.

Re: [ACRO] Outside VIII: We cater birthday parties
[Train car]
Too long, judging my my legs, my lady. Brendan presumes that would be a respectful form of address, then drops his voice. And by the not-troublemaker coming our way.
-
Re: [ACRO] Outside VIII: We cater birthday parties
{Gersemi's Isle}
Reinholdt gives a small smile, and a short laugh, clearly trying not to cry.
It... she sounded so much like him right then. Ironic that he would be in need of his own philosophy the most.
"I understand." He grabs his milk and drinks some more, more as a distraction than out of thirst.
-
Re: [ACRO] Outside VIII: We cater birthday parties
[Train car]
Well, we're just about to the city. I expected the 5 of them to be gone by now.
She means the 4 hoods and the noble. I guess everyone had the same plans.
The not-troublemaker comes up to them, removing his hood. It's a thin young man with relatively long dark hair. He looks a bit worried, and asks some question, still in Spanish. It included "Nerei", and Ashna looks a little worried.
The noble looks over. She must have misheard, or it have been someone else.
-
Re: [ACRO] Outside VIII: We cater birthday parties
[Train car]
Brendan goes into his best 'tough-looking bodyguard' act, and, not comprehending Spanish, listens curiously anyway.
-
Re: [ACRO] Outside VIII: We cater birthday parties
[Train car]
Ashna risks a quick nod.
Speak Throne, please.
The man looks confused. Okay. Why, though? He's not one of us.
He indicates Brendan. I can't belie-
Ashna breaks in. Quiet! Don't talk about it here. Next car. It's better that people know, isn't it?
The noble looks away, disappointed.

Good. Let's go back to the cottage and get something to eat. She holds out her hand to take Reinholdt's glass.
-
Re: [ACRO] Outside VIII: We cater birthday parties
He hands her back the glass. It's pretty much empty by now anyways. Reinholdt likes milk almost as much as Butler likes Nuka-Cola.
Nodding, he'll follow her back to the cottage for foods.

Re: [ACRO] Outside VIII: We cater birthday parties
[Train car]
Brendan's eyebrow climbs, and he looks between Ashna and the man, before, presumably, rising to move into the next car (?).
-
Re: [ACRO] Outside VIII: We cater birthday parties
[Train car]
Ashna follows Brendan into the next car, which is luckily more empty.
A few moments later, the man follows them.
What, is it a secret that you're here?
Yes. Obviously. And he's close enough to one of us. No secrets, if you have any I don't.
((Yes. The one to the front. That might have been too confusing. Maybe I need more description. Sorry.))
-
Re: [ACRO] Outside VIII: We cater birthday parties
((No worries. :smallsmile:))
Brendan, after being certain things are clear, clears his throat. Sooooo...may I ask who this is and how you know each other, then?
((Bedtime approaching, so see ya tomorrow.))
-
Re: [ACRO] Outside VIII: We cater birthday parties
Ashna shrugs. Well, I don't know who he is. Some pilgrim who's good at recognizing faces.
Gabriel Valenti sir. And no, we're just on a mission to Tower City. Not as secret of one, of course, I mean, we're still in our cloaks and everything. Who are you, to be here with Dedicate Nerei and outside the church?
From the church. That's why I told you they weren't trouble. She lets Brendan explain who he is.
((Goodnight BR))
-
Re: [ACRO] Outside VIII: We cater birthday parties
Seems you were right. Brendan nods respectfully, smiling a little. The name's Brown, Aiden Brown. I apologise for my earlier suspicions but one can't be too careful when protecting a beautiful lady, I'm sure you understand.
-
Re: [ACRO] Outside VIII: We cater birthday parties
The man looks surprised.
It's fine. But if you're involved in something where a dedicate needs outside protection, I don't think it would be a good idea for me to understand. Need to know and all that. If you do need help and can risk coming out of cover, just ask us. The usual place. It was an honor to meet you, Sr. Brown, Dedicate Nerei.
He bows and walks away.
Ashna shakes her head.
-
Re: [ACRO] Outside VIII: We cater birthday parties
Well, that was certainly...interesting. Brendan watches him go, then looks at Asnha. I guess your lovely face is more familiar than you thought? He smiles warmly.
-
Re: [ACRO] Outside VIII: We cater birthday parties
Yeah. That was weird. She sighs, but has to smile. Thanks, but apparently so. I hope I won't run into anyone else who recognizes me.
-
Re: [ACRO] Outside VIII: We cater birthday parties
I think the noblewoman was curious, Brendan points out. She looked over when your name was mentioned.
-
Re: [ACRO] Outside VIII: We cater birthday parties
Really? Ashna looks worried. Let's hope she forgets about it.
