Though the system is specially overwhelming since we don't have multiple tests from one assignment but one consolidated test. This means you can get either a Tragedies test, and a week later greek mythology and then a week later greek society or the GREAT HOLLISTIC TEST OF GREEK CULTURE three weeks from now.

Well, I'm only mentioning the actual tests. In English, I have to put on a production of Macbeth. And yes, I'm expected to memorize the lines.
I've got 3 projects due monday in history, and Chemistry...
Probably nothing at all.

Southampton. Why?

(I haven't for the 2 I've done already. General Studies is a bollocks subject.)
Pretty sure I had 8 exams at the end of 6th form. 2 for each subject.
Oh, wait, General Studies. And Further Maths.
Then I guess I had 12 exams?
Oh and there were two resits, though I might have done those in January. So possibly 14?
And yeah, General Studies is pretty ridiculous.
(RB timeloop, even this sentence etc)

One chemistry, two physics (:smallfurious:), three maths, two further maths, four general studies, one STEP. Thirteen. Woohoo. Had seven in January as well. :smallsigh: Why did I keep on four subjects? :smallannoyed:
At least four are done already.

Sophmore and what not is for University, not Highschool, right? Because if it's Highschool I suddenly feel old, since I graduated Highschool like almost two years ago :smalleek:

I don't know if it really applies to the path you are pursuing though.

You have Seniors, Juniors, Sophmores, and Freshman in both Uni and HS. I just became a Junior. Dragonprime's a Sophmore. Am I older then he? Nope. You're going to have to use ... wait for it ... COMMON SENSE! (THE HORROR!! :smalltongue:)
-
Re: Blue's Blessed and Blissful Random Banter - RB #160
I forgot which of you were older. And I use common sense all the time! I just get distracted sometimes :smalltongue:

How old did you think we were?

Re: Blue's Blessed and Blissful Random Banter - RB #160
Figured you were 18, Atlantean, and Dragonprime was around 20, probably 21.

I believe Dragonprime is 19 and Atlantean is 16.

Actually it does. See, for those who don't yet have college degrees there's something called "minor seminary" which is what I do. I go to class to get my philosophy degree at a nearby college. Everything else I do at the seminary. Once I finish this up I go to major seminary (in Boston or Rome). So technically I am in fact a sophomore.

Correct, I am indeed 19 years old.

Interesting...
Say, I complete my 7 years of medicine, would the seminary last the ordinary 7 years or would it be less than that?

Wierd, usually when asked to guess ages I under shoot. Though I've noticed that when it comes to looking at people, I guess they are younger, but when talking with people they seem older.

I believe that last statement is specially true in the playground.

I got mistaken for 50 in an internet debate once ... So 18 isn't actually that bad, considering I'll be 17 around the end of Septmeber.

Well for me it actually lasts eight years. Anyways, if you had a degree you'd actually be called a "pre-the" which just means "pre-theologian". Those who already have degrees spend two years as pre-the's, after which they do four years as theologians, so you'd probably do a total of six years.
I myself am not a pre-the or a theologian, but a college seminarian. So, I get myself the title of "college II" since I'm in my second year. So people would say that I'm in second college, while a pre-the might be in first pre-theology, and a theologion could be said to be in fourth theology. Such is the system.
edit: So I just found out something cool and strange. The Archdiocese of Boston has made a bet with the Archdiocese of Vancouver as to who will win the Stanley Cup. Whoever loses has to donate $100 to a charity on the other diocese. Go Bruins!

Woman cutting my hair: "Oh wow, I thought I was aging him from sixteen to seventeen."
Guys on bus are asking how old the other guys around them are. They get to me.
One guy: "Really?"
Another guy: "Strange that the oldest guy here is the smallest."
Other guy: "So how old are you?"
Me: "Twenty-two."
Other guy: "Oh man, you could show me picture ID and I still wouldn't believe you. Hey, I bet you still get carded, don't you?"
Then there was that time at the library a few months back where I nearly got in trouble with their computer cops. Their policy was that anyone under sixteen had to have parental supervision to use their computers. They thought I was fourteen.

That kinda makes sense. Thanks.
Also, interesting, weird and productive.

Re: Blue's Blessed and Blissful Random Banter - RB #160
Atlantean missed my age by about 9 years a while back, after I'd posted a retty recent picture of myself.
I thought that was pretty impressive.

Re: Blue's Blessed and Blissful Random Banter - RB #160
Hoo boy. I'm actually 16, but no one believes me. One time I came to school in a formal suit, and someone mistook me for a Substitute Teacher.
I grew a beard and mustache much earlier than most people do, and it's confusing to some people. I'm as tall as my Father, and my vocabulary is much better than average for my age.
A store clerk once asked me if I had kids. That's all that needs to be said.

This is why my dad wont allow me to grow out my facial hair. Which I think is dumb, because without I look pretty ... Childish. Which I don't enjoy. It's only about 2 or 3 years, but only being 16, that's a bit of a difference ...

Not as bad as someone more then tripling your age. And did I think you were older or younger, I forget ...

When I was 14 I remember in one of the waaay old incarnations of the crush thread getting an anonymous person crushing on me that thought I was mid-twenties. Was flattering.

I've been mistaken for my sister's Mother before. Which is somewhat insulting since she's like 5 years younger then me, I think.

Nope, just plain sausage! But they aren't exactly the most healthy or nourishing food, and they're rather expensive in my town, so we only buy one once a month.

You have an interesting school BoO
On the You! thread someone thought I was 21 with one of the first pictures I posted there. I sniggered for five minutes afterwards. Rather evened out the time in sixth grade when a fifth grader asked me if I was a third or fourth grader.
