Re: [Nexus] OOC 35: Winter is Coming
Hey Shadowcaller? Not sure how the gargoyles would have known 'bout Argon testing out the E4, seeing as it's apparently silent and he fired it into solid rock.

The E14 Prototype is silent. The gun is held, and successfully fired. The bullet smashes into the wall, going through the stone, wood, and anything else in between, opening up a 2 foot hole in the inn, smashing through anything in the way. The bullet passes out of the gun, it's silver-green, and enlarges as it flies to a two foot transparent green orb. The orb keeps smashing until it reaches thirty feet. Then it evaporates. Tooold ya so. Enshadu speaks in a sing-song voice.
Even if the gun is silent, I expect a wall that suddenly get's a hole through it to make quite a loud sound. Not to mention it looked like it made a hole in the inn itself.

Re: [Nexus] OOC 35: Winter is Coming
Maybe. I got the impression it was disintegrating the stone rather than simply punching through it. As for leaving a hole in the bar, yes, but they're underground at the moment, if you'll recall. It wouldn't be visible from topside.
-
Re: [Nexus] OOC 35: Winter is Coming
Well, it did say in that post that the bullet smashed through a wall, so I'd weigh on the side of that being noisy. However, it's up to Noodle how his guns work, so if he comes in here and says it was completely silent disintegration/noisy wall smashing then that's the final word on it.
-
Re: [Nexus] OOC 35: Winter is Coming
It says it becomes a thirty-foot sphere, so... Even with being underground, shouldn't that have probably punched through to the upper floors? Not that it matters to me, really, but I'm curious.

Re: [Nexus] OOC 35: Winter is Coming
Yeah, it's more or less up to how singingnoodle says the gun works and I'm cool with either option.
I mean, even if the gargoyles do come storming in, the basement only has one (narrow) entrance and Argon's got himself a kill-anything-gun.

Yeah, it's up to noodle.
The gargoyles aren't stupid enough to come storming in after someone blew a hole in anyway. :smalltongue:

Re: [Nexus] OOC 35: Winter is Coming
Could anybody suggest to me a good thread to have a new character start in? I realize that taverns are generally popular choices but they appear to be dead at the moment. And most of the other threads seem like they're too long and already deep into different plots.

Re: [Nexus] OOC 35: Winter is Coming
You could have your character visit one of the ACROS?
Or I suppose you could hop right in on a quest, have your char meet people that way?

Two foot hole in the wall. It stops flying after thirty feet, C'nor.
It punches through wall, doesn't disintegrate. Though, it's not that loud. Only a two foot hole.

Thanks for the tips, mate

I even have an idea for a plot I could run, although I warn you know, I tend not to be the fastest poster.

Hello. I'm sort of new here, and I would really like to roleplay here.
So, where is the best place to start for me?
Where am I needed?

Going to one of the taverns is never a bad choice. Trogs would be your best choice at the moment for that. Or, depending on you character's alignment, you could try an organization such as AMEN, HALO, or NO.

Hm... Serph, does Serph-the-Character need to breathe?

'ello!
As Never pointed out, the taverns or one of the ACROs is the traditional choice, but really, you can start your characters anywhere you want outside of private plots.

Re: [Nexus] OOC 35: Winter is Coming
Outside and Inside are useful starting places, I find. Between the two of them you can get most any setting you want.

Uhhh.... I'm presuming and hoping that's a very small amount of antimatter we're talking here.:smalleek:

Or since it's that time of year, you can go to the ThanksmasNewYearsKwanzaakah thread and have your character talk to Santa and play in the snow.
And if you are having trouble getting interaction, try using this smiley. Keeps your post from getting buried and not noticed.

Nor is mine, though that seems to be a workable plan.
Should I go post, or would you prefer to start the scene?

Originally, I had him named Haruki, but y'know... there's already haruki-kun. :smalltongue: So I changed it. There few characters that I actually name thematically. It's mostly for the aesthetic quality of 'Sonozaki Yuki' sounding nice.

You would be correct. Try something along the lines of "Marty might find that, no, he does not begin to run out the door, as he may well find himself held back by..."

Very small, and controlled. No bigger than a bullet.
Marty is immune to magic, has been for a long timr...so...he's not affected.
