"That I did. Let me think... it cannot have to do with my history."
Copi wants to try and lever these questions in a certain direction, yes, but she doesn't want to just com out and say it. That'd be too easy, it seems.
((Concerning the Park scene: Kate is dead and therefore you can pass me unless her body is interacted with))
Park
((It's kinda late for another opponent. What's already done here.))
The wounded What dashes into the nearest bunch of trees he can find. Mysterious gunmen, and him here without any eyes on his head to spot the mystery attacker with. Best just to flee, and hope whoever it is can't keep up.

Ellise thinks for a moment, "What do you intend to write about? My restriction, in turn, is it also can't be about my history." Not much of one, but Ellise is running low on ideas for restrictions.
(Thank you, and sorry if this seems a bit presumptuous)

After a while, a parrot flies out of the trees, checking if What has truely left. If he has, the gunman climbs out of the tree he was hiding in, and walks over to Kate's body.
"What a shame, to see a lass keelhauled like that. Well, since the captain is wanting people to be owning him favors, I'll be best sailing ye to see if a temple be willing to put ye back in the water."
Pete tries to move Kate's body, but its likely that he'll fail.

"Oddities. I have a few ideas, most of which revolve around seeing just how much strangeness the public is willing to forgive and just how inhuman of an alien they can relate with. On one angle I want to write a romance as done by aliens with nonhuman mindsets, on the other I want to do a dadaist novella series." A... dadaist... is that even... "However, I'm hesitant to write about romance at all given my almost purely intellectual understanding of it, but emotional detachment perhaps will help me get to the alien perspective from which I can evoke human emotions. The novella series would be easier, I think."
"For your question, you need to ask me the question you want me to ask you."
[EMBOH]
"...this has been rather convenient, thus far."
Guards all get conveniently distracted by the poor bystander.
Door casually opens with nary a (godly) hand-wave.
They get straight to the vault with little obstruction...
Libby frowns a bit. Hers is the domain of death, not robbery or blanket prescience.
She suspects she's forgotten about something somewhere along the way.
Magtok applies fire to nearest protruding structure!
There's a sharp, but not altogether loud, cracking noise and it proceeds to turn a bright crimson color.
The others begin to produce a faint whining noise and the lighting of the hallway momentarily flickers.
"Oh."
Now she remembers.

Ellise blinks. What? The writing bit was cool but... what?
"What question do you want me to ask you?"
Seems she hasn't figured out what Copi wants her to say.

((sorry, you ninja'd my last post))
Kate's body is... heavy. She's unwieldy with the wings and backpack (Which is not currently being held on) but beyond that she's a lot heavier than she looks. She can be moved... but it'll be slow, and unless that temple is really close he'll probably need help.

"Who are you, really?" Copi smiles at her. "Come now, what do you know of who I really am? You know my powers quite well by now, but do you know me?"
Streets Outside Dragon's Den
Randii walks out of the bar, a little bit of a sway in her steps. She stops to pull out a cigarette from one of the large pockets on her cargo pants, light it, and take a drag. She's also waiting for her new companion, introduced as Twig, to join her outside.

Pete struggles with Kate's body for a bit.
"If only you couldn't be used for an anchor. *sigh* Well, its time for that trick."
Pete snaps his fingers against a bracelet he is wearing, which sparks while its gives him a bit more strength.
"Polly, go and get some help, this boost won't last forever."
And so Polly flies off to try to location other people, while Pete goes back to trying to move Kate's body.
Park
Kate isn't going to object, that's for sure.
((In fact, if it's safe to say he can get the help, we might just be able to jump to this temple?))
(Well, he could get ncp help, so it should be fine to cut to a temple, through you get to pick which one he gets to.)
Streets Outside Dragon's Den
Cassidy is quick to emerge behind Randii, hands in the hip pockets of her coat and looking around to make sure there aren't any gangers coming after them or something like that.
Streets
Randii seems to have no such worries. Lit cigarette in mouth, she starts strolling away, her hands currently resting behind her head.
Nervous bout something?
[An Alley]
Ellise frowns, "I didn't ask because it's too broad of a question. what defines a person as to who they are is a subject of a lot of debate among people in general. Is it the work they do? the way they think? How they spend their free time? Asking who someone is is a shorthand way of asking many details about them and expecting a short answer. Things worth knowing should never be brought about in a short answer unless time is a pressing issue which, here, it is not."
"You are Copi. You used to be a copy of a woman named Kate before you were locked away from the world long enough to go insane, and then miraculously got better, upon which point you coerced a friendly but powerful entity into crafting a body for you. If someone was to ask who you are, that'd be the easy, quick, accurate answer to give them to get a sense for what your life situation is, but it doesn't describe anything about you. So I ask questions about more specific pieces. why would I choose to limit myself in that way?"
"Presumably, a forming friendship can be done over time, not by asking 'who are you' and checking compatibility."
Streets
"Nah. Where I'm from, you always watch your back. One of the big rules in the slums." Cassidy may be a little paranoid, but it's rooted in living in the middle of a gang war and all that.
Streets
Ah, gotcha.
Randii walks a little further in silence, moving a hand down to take another drag.
So, you got some stuff you wanna grab first?
Streets
"I got the things I'll need for a night away from a bolthole on me," Cassidy says. "Why, you got some errands?"
Streets
Randii shakes her head.
Nope. Just thought I'd be polite and let you get stuff ya need.
The pair should be approaching the Red Zone right about now.
Streets -> Red Zone
"Well isn't that aces of ya," Cassidy says, glancing towards Randii as they enter the Red Zone. "So where's your place?"
Red Zone
Randii chuckles again at Twig's use of words, then points straight ahead.
Few blocks down. Found an empty flat and decided it was mine. Nobody's told me otherwise. She smirks, takes another drag, then, instead of returning her hands behind her head, she hooks her thumbs into the top of her waistband.
Red Zone
"Sounds like a couple of my old retreats," Cassidy says, smirking at Randii.
Red Zone - Randii's Flat
Randii grins. Better than a cardboard box.
Randii finally turns off the street and towards a building. It's small, run-down, and looks old. From the outside, it might look big enough to be a two-bedroom place. Maybe. It has a covered porch, but one side of the roof of it is sagged down. Probably leaks when it rains.
Randii hops up the pair of steps leading to the porch, unlocks the front door, and steps in, leaving the door open for Twig.
((Should we move to Home thread? Or should we stay here?))
Red Zone - Randii's Flat
Cassidy examines the building. Bit rundown, but still better than where she first slept. She follows Randii into the building.
((We should probably move to Home.))
Park to Temple of Dalachrech
It just so happens that just outside the park is a courier with a half-track and enough goodness in his heart to give them a ride to the Temple of Dalachrech.
An Alley
"Aha, there we are. I knew it was in there somewhere. You have a good brain, you just needed a bit of leading to kick it into high gear." Copi nods. "Now, please, forgive me for stepping out of the game I started, but I'm curious about your work. Do you have any that you would be willing to show me?"
The Fairview Hotel
After some time, Mr Steward comes back to the room where the device is being put together.
Temple of Dalachrech
Pete gives a doubloon to the courier, and after being driven to the Temple of Dalachrech, he gets out and knocks on the door.
[Atriol]
Yuki raises an eyebrow at her, smiling. "Very perceptive of you. Yes, there are people in black suits. And I'm sorry if you feel uncomfortable about the scanning. It's a vital security measure and it's completely undetectable."
As they reach the top, a singular figure in a matte black jumpsuit and helmet quickly clambers up from the floor. She nods to Yuki, then stares at Mia and MDM. "...identity?"
...If Rage is getting exorcised by heaven, there isn't a thing he can do about it - he's completely outclassed. So Martyn is dead.
Wow. That just stuffed my entire plotline plan. :smallfurious:
I'm going to go and think over how to salvage my plan from the wreckage now.
