Seriously. These unreasonable suspicions of what is actually perfectly ordinary Mummy behaviour are just getting out of hand.

Re: Will Save World for Gold
In fairness to Ardon here, there's no way Chandea would have followed his plan.
In fairness to Chandea, she has very good reasons to not follow Ardon's plans.

Re: Will Save World for Gold
You know things are about to get messy when Forty-Nine gets angry.

Re: Will Save World for Gold
Indeed. His dialogue this page was just perfect

Re: Will Save World for Gold
If I was the Mummy I'd be rolling a save vs. crapping my bandages.
This is perfectly ordinary Mummy behaviour, by the way.

Re: Will Save World for Gold
They're fighting bats. This just became an animal quest again.

Re: Will Save World for Gold
Wait...can you not refuse to be resurrected in 4th edition? :smallconfused:

You can, but it's considered very rude. Most people agree to come back due to social pressures.

Social pressure from the living that want their return or from their dead peers that want to be rid of them?

Either, or both.

Re: Will Save World for Gold
...Points to LSN. NOBODY saw that one coming.

Re: Will Save World for Gold
Is a Kidney Pincher an actual monster?

Maybe an actual Mind Flayer, but a failed, incompetent one taking refuge in Kidney Pincher/Mummy identities.
A stupid mind flayer would seem to be at severe disadvantage in both society and in its search for minds to flay.

Re: Will Save World for Gold
It would seem to be a creature unique to WSWFG given the recent explanation that every time the aliens from the future get wiped out they basically get replaced with different aliens from the future. The fact that these aliens can never be good guys just seems to be a cosmic joke.

Drow encounter confirmed.

Re: Will Save World for Gold
Unless they happen to meet the local version(s) of Drizzt that sounds like a really bad idea, Ardon.
I really hope that comes back to bite you.

Re: Will Save World for Gold
That parrot line was gold.

Re: Will Save World for Gold
*NOPE*
Best comic in a long while. For a minute I thought the Elder Kidney was actually screwed. This is better though.

Re: Will Save World for Gold
Nice use of a street light as an improvised weapon.

Re: Will Save World for Gold
Or at the very least, treat it nicely so when it inevitably breaks free of your control, it has no motivation to turn on you immediately.

That's rule four of monster creation, isn't it?
1)Don’t create something you can’t control
2)Don't create something you can't destroy
3)Don’t create something more powerful than you.
4)If you create something treat it nice, just to be sure
Or something like that.
Those guys must have skipped monster making 101.:smallsigh:
So, I guess they had this coming.:smallamused:

Re: Will Save World for Gold
Why does Odie always do the dumbest possible thing at all times? You'd think he'd learn eventually.
-
Re: Will Save World for Gold
And right when Ardon calls in a tactical nuke (or similar), at that.

I'm wondering if what he's doing is somehow part of Ardon's plan.
-
Re: Will Save World for Gold
my guess is he's going back to the elder kidney to try and figure out what it was that spooked him about Ardon.

The only thing I can come up with that he could reasonably be doing is running off to talk to the giant kidney monster like a bug dumb dummy.

My first thought was that he saw someone from his village among the slaves.
Maybe he wants to save them.
That might involve talking to the Elder Kidney. I can't believe I wrote that with a straight face. I mean those things are ridiculous.
