I also started you lot out with a Heart Scale apiece, but the tutor isn’t in Skybreak so yeah, probably a good goal for tomorrow.

KI, does Less know what Pokemon are commonly found in and around Skybreak City?
-
Re: Adventures in Helnith: Assault on the Town of Ash (OoC)
Would the pokedex inform me what ability an opposing pokemon would have? Or would I have to use a ground move to find out? :P

Yes, you can scan it to find that out.

Gotcha. This city isn't on the coast, is it? I was going to ask what might be found by fishing as well, but only if there's actually water around.

No, it’s a few miles away from the coast.

Drat. Well, that can also go down as a problem for another day.
EDIT: So, I've been reading the old threat. And, uh, I got to Gnomes introduction, and that's not Mark. Did you have a character die? If so, I'm suddenly scared for Less. Not actually caring about his own life is about to become a major problem for him.

Minor update: I double-checked and Skybreak does have a couple fish ponds in the park. It's going to be limited to Old Rod Pokémon (Magikarp, occasional Krabby and Goldeen) though. Not sure if that helps.

Mark is not the only dumb character I've had. :smalltongue:
Edit: Also, I think I was... 15 when I made Zelgius? Maaaaybe 16? So I was a special brand of extra dumb. Very cringe. :smallsigh:

It definitely helps, because Less can now avoid searching for Pokemon that aren't there!

There was this website I roleplayed on back when I was that age, FEPlanet, I think. I remember my first character was an angsty mercenary named Zephir, or something with a Z in it. We were all cringe at sixteen.

Re: Adventures in Helnith: Assault on the Town of Ash (OoC)
I'm lucky I'm old enough that no record still exists of my most cringey. Being an elder millennial has some benefits.

As a member of the last generation of millennial... I do not have any such reprieve from my most unholy of cringe. The records still exist. :smallfrown:
At least I never got into Twitter, though. That would have been a minefield of mistakes.

Mine was an elf spy-in-training who got magically portaled into a Pokémon world. (It was a freeform game.) Tyan Silverwood was her name, IIRC.

Hear, hear. :smalleek: Dodged that bullet and happy to have done so!

Based on this conversation, I think I'm about the same age as Gnomes. I also managed to avoid that cesspit. I pity the younger generations, who've had their entire childhoods plastered online. It's not going to be fun for them when everyone gets to comb through a lifetime of cringe.
FYI, I'm going to let Gnomes go first with the prisoner this go around. It seemed Mark was a little more effective at getting to her than Less.

Hah, I was working jobs after school to help my parents pay bills, I didn't get to be cringe then when I had brains, I get to be cringe now that they're all used up and out dated!
-
Re: Adventures in Helnith: Assault on the Town of Ash (OoC)
My cringe is still out there, but I've changed online handles since then, so it's untraceable to the me of now... hopefully... :smalltongue:
Sorry I haven't been posting lately, uni's been hitting like a truck! An especially painful truck when I'm having fun with what's up with Pinklady recently... Hope the delays aren't a problem, at least Pinklady's been solo currently!

If you’re wanting to level one of them up you’re going to need at least two hours since they’re both in their twenties level-wise. Also, you need to pick one to get the level up.
If you’re just having them spar for roleplaying purposes then never mind.
-
Re: Adventures in Helnith: Assault on the Town of Ash (OoC)
If they spar for two hours, won't they get a debuff like the Pyrofyl did? :/

Your Pyrofyl was a brand new hatchling, these two are not. The amount of time it takes to level up is based on their current level.

Re: Adventures in Helnith: Assault on the Town of Ash (OoC)
Hey guys, I'm just letting you know ahead of time that I might not be able to post once a day in the next couple of weeks. I'll still make the attempt, but I can't promise success. (Last semester of my graduate program, so I should probably put in a last mad dash of studying.)
-
Re: Adventures in Helnith: Assault on the Town of Ash (OoC)
Just checking in. A lot of stuff happened simultaneously with me doing research then helping with chairs. I'm still alive and following this, though

That's fine; good luck with your course work!

Do you need a poke or just time to get real life stuff in order? No rush, Mina's usually on standby until she has to show up again. Hazard of being the DMPC. :smallwink:

Re: Adventures in Helnith: Assault on the Town of Ash (OoC)
Yeah, I'm fine IRL, I just need a prompt to move on IC

Thanks! I should be fine (3/5 finals completed already) but I wanted to let you guys know just in case. (On that note there will be a period in both July and September where my posting drops off or stops for a bit. I'll mention it closer to those dates again.)
As far as criminal history, would there be any need to disclose juvenile offenses that occurred in Unova? I haven't decided if there are any yet, but I'm thinking about it.
Also speeding/parking tickets. I'm sure Less has a couple of those.
-
Re: Adventures in Helnith: Assault on the Town of Ash (OoC)
Mark is a hardened criminal, with his one instance of curfew violation and a second of jaywalking. Watch out, Bandra, you're messing with the real deal now, Team Rocket has nothing on this skullduggery! That second offense didn't even happen, Mark always waits at the crosswalk and respects the territory of rolling death machine lanes that is the road.

Hmm, how serious? If it was something like murder yes, if it was something minor then let's say only anything in the last ten years. And speeding/parking tickets you can leave off entirely; the point of the check is to make sure they're not handing off a license to capture people and take their Pokémon to someone in Bandra or similar.

Nothing to disclose then. Less hasn't ever killed anyone. The worst thing he probably did was some petty stuff when he was a teenager.

But...wait...isn't that....oh....oh....OH.... oops... =.= Uhm... can I just.... sheepishly....like.... not exist anymore? I am not making things easier on myself. And that's bad. Though I had a job interview today, which went super good. Which might improve overall mood and morale a bit, also good. But will give less time for... detailed stuff... like remembering to check rules and the like... which is bad...
I don't want to fail the group, as a whole. If it's just myself that disappoints myself by screwing up... its whatever... I just...I can't... ='( I'm sorry....

It's about 9 AM for you and Gnomes, which is to say you have about an hour.
EDIT: I feel like I'm forgetting something, so if I've missed anything yell.

Re: Adventures in Helnith: Assault on the Town of Ash (OoC)
Didn't notice anything missing on my end.
Also: Yes I'm going to hell for that hand pun. Yes, the dad joke was worth it. Fight me. :smalltongue:
