Q1587 I haven't seen this one asked , though I may have missed it. Can Favored Souls use dominion spells or only the ones from the "all clerics" list? It doesn't seem to be specified either way (again, unless I've missed it). Seems logical that they could.

this only increases you effective caster level, and wouldn't allow your to cast higher level spells. It effects spells known, but that has no effect on a wizard, as their spells known is dependent on their spellbook.

I don't know any dominion spells, but if you are talking about domain spells they do not get them. You only can only use them if you have the particular domain and domain spell slots. The Favored Soul has neither.

Please read benefit of the ritual again. It gives you:
* spells per day
* spells known
* caster level
as if you had one sorcerer level more than you actually have. First two let you cast spells one level earlier than regular sorcerers.

Q1588a When you charge with pounce, are you allowed to tranform a full attack into single attack + move ?
Q1588b Does it work even if you have no foe to charge to get an extra movement ?
Pounce
Spoiler
Show
When a creature with this special attack makes a charge, it can follow with a full attack—including rake attacks if the creature also has the rake ability.
Bond (Ext)
Charge
Spoiler
Show
Charging is a special full-round action that allows you to move up to twice your speed and attack during the action. However, it carries tight restrictions on how you can move.
Movement During a Charge
You must move before your attack, not after. You must move at least 10 feet (2 squares) and may move up to double your speed directly toward the designated opponent.
You must have a clear path toward the opponent, and nothing can hinder your movement (such as difficult terrain or obstacles). Here’s what it means to have a clear path. First, you must move to the closest space from which you can attack the opponent. (If this space is occupied or otherwise blocked, you can’t charge.) Second, if any line from your starting space to the ending space passes through a square that blocks movement, slows movement, or contains a creature (even an ally), you can’t charge. (Helpless creatures don’t stop a charge.)
If you don’t have line of sight to the opponent at the start of your turn, you can’t charge that opponent.
You can’t take a 5-foot step in the same round as a charge.
If you are able to take only a standard action or a move action on your turn, you can still charge, but you are only allowed to move up to your speed (instead of up to double your speed). You can’t use this option unless you are restricted to taking only a standard action or move action on your turn.
Attacking on a Charge
After moving, you may make a single melee attack. You get a +2 bonus on the attack roll and take a -2 penalty to your AC until the start of your next turn.
A charging character gets a +2 bonus on the Strength check made to bull rush an opponent.
Even if you have extra attacks, such as from having a high enough base attack bonus or from using multiple weapons, you only get to make one attack during a charge.
Full attack
Spoiler
Show
Deciding between an Attack or a Full Attack
After your first attack, you can decide to take a move action instead of making your remaining attacks, depending on how the first attack turns out. If you’ve already taken a 5-foot step, you can’t use your move action to move any distance, but you could still use a different kind of move action.

Re: Simple Q&A D&D 3.5 (by RAW) XXII
A 1588
No and no. Pounce gives you a Full Attack Action at the end of a charge. Nothing more, nothing less. It does not give you a Move Action and a Standard Action, which could also be used as a Full Attack Action.
Additionally you cannot charge without a foe to charge, because "you must move to the closest space from which you can attack the opponent." If there is no closest space because there is no opponent, you cannot move to that space and thus not charge.

Re: Simple Q&A D&D 3.5 (by RAW) XXII
As I wrote before you cannot choose because you do not get a Full Round Action that can be used as a standard action and a move action or a Full Attack. Through Pounce, you get a Full Attack as part of the Full Round Action Charge. The choice is already made.

Q1589
The Lesser Restoration spell states that
Quote:
Lesser restoration dispels any magical effects reducing one of the subject’s ability scores or cures 1d4 points of temporary ability damage to one of the subject’s ability scores.
What is the difference between "magical effects reducing" an ability score and "ability damage"?

Re:Q 1588
no, pounce must be done in conjunction with your charge. Charging is your move action. You can't use multiple move actions unless they involve separate limbs, but 2 move actions takes your full round.
As your quote of pounce states, it allows you to make you full attacks, nothing else.
if you want to be able to move-attack-move get spring attack, however you're limited to the movement speed you have in total. also its only a standard attack attack.

Ability Damage, like normal Damage, is not a magical effect after it is dealt.

So if I understand, a Ray of Enfeeblement is the former, and its effects would be cancelled by a Lesser Restoration spell, while a Shadow's touch or a poison would be ability damage.
What about the Poison spell?

Poison explicitly deals ability damage. Did you mean a different spell?

Q1591
I'm in my first real 3.5 session and I have 13 levels of Duskblade. For AbjChamp it says I increase my caster level and spells known just like my previous arcane spellcasting class. Since Duskblade doesn't get 5th level spells at 14 but am I allowed 5th level spells after taking a level of AbjChamp? Since it states that my caster level was increased.

Are you confusing caster level with spell level?

To give a bit more of an explanation, since I just noticed you mentioned it's your first game:
Caster Level is a number that goes in to various parts of spells. For example, a spell might have duration 1 round per caster level, or range 30 feet plus five feet per two caster levels. It's usually equal to your class level, and various PrCs add to it.
Spell Level is the level of the spell itself. A Sorceror can cast spells of a level equal to one half their class level, while a Duskblade casts spells with lower spell levels than that in general.

Q 1593 How does the beastmaster's (complete adventure) extra animal companion interact with the arcane hierophant (races of the wild) companion familiar class feature?
Extra animal companion
Spoiler
Show
Extra Animal Companion (Ex): At 4th level, a beastmaster gains a second animal companion, chosen from the list of animal companions available to a 1st-level
druid. Treat the beastmaster as a druid whose level is equal to the beastmaster’s class level – 3 for the purpose of improving the animal companion’s statistics (or of selecting an alternative companion at higher levels).
[...]
Other class levels in classes that offer an animal companion don’t stack for the purpose of determining the power of a beastmaster’s additional animal companions, nor do they allow her to choose additional animal companions
from the alternative lists.
Companion familiar
Spoiler
Show
Companion Familiar: Upon becoming an arcane hierophant, you must dismiss your familiar, if you have one. (You do not risk losing XP for doing so.) You may retain anyone animal companion you already possess.
You add your arcane hierophant class level to your druid or ranger level for purposes of determining your animal companion’s bonus Hit Dice, natural armor adjustment, and Strength/Dexterity adjustment (see the sidebar The Druid’s Animal Companion, page 36 of the Player’s Handbook).
[...]
In addition, your animal companion (if any) gains many of the abilities that a familiar would normally possess. You add your arcane hierophant class level to your arcane spellcasting class level, and determine the Intelligence bonus and special abilities of your animal companion accordingly (see the sidebar familiars, page 53 of the Player’s Handbook).
Would you get as many companion familiars as you have animal companions?
-
Re: Simple Q&A D&D 3.5 (by RAW) XXII
A 1592 Both.
Quote:
A wilder who is overcome by psychic enervation is dazed until the end of her next turn and loses a number of power points equal to her wilder level.
The Wilder is dazed, not just some independent aspect of the character.

Q 1595: Can the spell arcane fusion (CM) benefit from multiple layers of metamagic? (EX. I cast an AF comprised of a magic missile and a searing ray, can I legally empower the ray making it AF's requisite 4th lvl spell? If so can I then apply more feats to AF itself? Such as twin or maximize?)
-
Re: Simple Q&A D&D 3.5 (by RAW) XXII
A 1595
i do not know if you could use searing ray as i have never heard of the spell, but for the forth or lower spell you could apply metamagic to the spell as long as the end result is lv 4 or less and you can cast metamagic with normal casting time with something like rapid metamagic.
you could also cast a twined arcane fusion. you would then get a total of two 1st lv spells and two 4th or lower lv spells. empower would do nothing for arcane fusion as it has no variable effects.
-
Re: Simple Q&A D&D 3.5 (by RAW) XXII
a1595-Applying metamagic to one spell inside of the AF? I am reasonably sure that can be done, as I have read of such inside other guides for using Arcane Fusion.
Can one apply metamagic to Arcane Fusion itself? I know Quicken Spell will work, for example.
