And Ardon stands on the street ranting to thin air in his underwear. I believe the previously mentioned % of hobos onscreen has risen to 100%.

...
Ya know Ardon, that sorta stuff does not tend to help one keep a fan base. Just saying.
Oh Christ.
And to think I was starting to forget his worse character aspects. Ok, then, thanks for the reminder !
Just your casual reminder that Ardon is still an evil prat.
Actions have consequences.
Ardon bought the kid a ticket to the opera. Thus leading to him getting a new set of clothes when needed.
Isn't it great being a good samaritan?
... Welp! That sure happened!
yea he seems to be some weird conglomeration of Thief, Black Mage and Tarquin.
As in he seems to care about his teammates, but everyone else he is a complete sociopath towards and even then he is kind of a Thief-ish jerk to his friends, he seems to have genre-savviness, but none of the cool, and like he just demonstrated, he just did something worthy of black mage level random killing. but he is the primary planner….
I think so, and it involved halflings or gnomes too. He hates short people.
I suddenly think it would be hilarious for him to try that on a halfling Monk who's like 20th level or something but who doesn't believe in killing.
Watch him getting curb stomped and tied into knots by a halfling and then have to live it down.
That would definitely be satisfying.
i kinda see Adorn as having a more-or-less Adorn sort of personality.
That's so simple...!

On the subject of Ardon,
felt like doing these:

*looks at his own comic*
*gives up*
SpoilerThose are awesome
Poor Ardon. He can't even enjoy his small victories.
If I ever get sucked into playing a 4E game, I'll have to remember that trick. XD!
So. On the recent comics. I don't think I've ever seen anyone kick the dog as hard as Ardon just did.
Oh, I wouldn't say that. Belkar would be a strong contender (poor gnome), and Black Mage is still miles ahead. And I'm only talking of "protagonists", mind you.
Black Mage was never supposed to be likable though. He's a horrible person, but it's ok because you know his karma is coming, and it's always immensely satisfying to watch. In the words of the author "The universe exists to hurt Black Mage." I don't even really consider him to be a protagonist.
As for Belkar, I don't really see how killing some random Gnome is on par with murdering an innocent child in an alley while she spouts her love towards you. It's evil, but it's not nearly so much as Ardon.
I guess the main thing that makes it so jarring in comparison to your examples is that neither Black Mage or Belkar (at that time) were supposed to be sympathetic characters. Ardon got quite a bit of character development recently, and had garnered a bit of good will with the readership. Then he throws it away in one strip. It would be like if Belkar went back to his complete sociopathic behavior again, in spite of all his recent development.
Now, I'm not saying that any of this is bad storytelling, so please don't take it as a criticism. I'm just stating my personal reaction to the recent strips.
Well, I'd argue that Ardon killed the halfling (wait, it WAS a halfling, right ? Oh god.) for a reason (ok, a really shallow and stupid one), while Belkar killed the gnome for the lulz. But you make a good point.
I was re reading the comic, and I think I know why the squirrels are attacking everyone

Ah. So it's his fault. Again. :smallsigh:
