I was immediately reminded of the Ga-Rei Zero pocky kiss scene as I read your post.
Y'know, that's exactly what I thought would happen. I imagine it will happen to Kina once when she finds a need to fire a shot and she just can't, because she's literally only capable of firing one shot with her bow before she can't manipulate enough spirit particles to form a second shot. But she'd try anyways.
Why do you think Kina is going to end up emotionally attacked to Ken, though? :smallconfused:
Because reading Kina's personality, I can actually see how her and Izumi would end up in a relationship of that type- starts with Izumi trying to make her feel more accepted, then...
I think if Kina knows about Aki she'd go to anyone to get help. The problem I forsee is that Kina is going to be pure Bow-type Quincy, and Aki doesn't appear to be super-skilled on the bow side of being a Quincy.
If he plays the Defender-type to Kina, she'll probably end up at least appreciating him somewhat. Whether or not it develops romantically is something else entirely, but when you're a shy girl and there's an older guy who's stepping in to defend you, as long as you're attracted to men I imagine that probably has some effect on you.
Honestly, I never imagine any of my characters as a specific sexual preference, as I'm a guy and I play almost solely female or non-humanoid characters.
Well, Izumi would also probably try to make Kina feel accepted, and that could also develop into something... more.
and yeah- I make up whatever my character's preference is based on what I know of them when it comes up. :smalltongue:
Aki isn't super skilled no, but she can form her bow. She can't do many of the neat tricks with it, but she can teach Kina the basics.
On the subject of Hibiki, I'm honestly wondering if the girls in his class will treat him like Negi. :smalltongue:
Well I think my character's personality meshes well with Kina's. He's shy, understanding and also friendly but not cheery. She would probably be the most approachable looking of all the supernatural students to talk to first for him. He doesn't care about people he doesn't know personally but if he sees an easy way to score friendship points by helping an innocent looking person out how can he refuse? Once he gets to know said person well enough he'll do anything to protect that person. He's like this only it counts for all good friends.
That's true. Plus, Aki would probably add some Ginto to Kina's knowledge, which would make her a more useful combatant, especially with what I'm intending for her bow to develop into. I'd say Aki would be a first-teacher to Kina, but Kina would eventually have to go elsewhere to learn about her bow more.
Also, Shades...Kina's very different from Katleia in my mind. Kina's a bit shy, but she's not as nervous as Katleia started out. Katleia was so nervous that she would fail to function sometimes, and she still is. Kina is shy because she's going into a world she's unfamiliar with. Kina has been home-schooled all her life, so High School is a completely new experience for her, and I'm fairly certain she won't feel like she fits in for at least a day or so. Katleia's just nervous all the time.
I tend to like playing shyer female characters. That does not mean they're weak in any way, though. Kina's very opinionated. It's just what I play.
Well, as I said, Izumi would probably make an effort to become friends with Kina.
Whether that develops into Les Yay or not... well, I'm not against the idea. :smalltongue:
We'll see when we get there, horngeek. But I'm totally open to the idea.
Okay then. :smallwink:
Right! What's next on the agenda? :smalltongue:
Aki gets to be a mentor! Fun :smallamused:
Kina's such an interesting character to me. I'm very glad I decided to go that route. I dunno why, but I think Quincies are awesome.
I have to do a write-up for Taiki's 2nd Division at some point. They're basically the Stealth Force from canon, though. Hmm...maybe I'll think of something interesting for him.
Hey, that's fine with me.
Now I have to remember to develop all these relationships quickly, as I imagine the first thing that happens in the game Mortal-World-wise will be the first day of school.
Is your character just starting out at the school this year, then?
...in fact, there is one problem. There's a two-year age gap between Izumi and Kina. Specifically, Izumi's 17, Kina's 15.
In normal society, that age gap would be less of a problem. In high school, that age gap is like a barrier of pure iron. Nevertheless, it can be broken.
And yes, Kina would be a freshman. She is 15, after all.
Psssh, two years two shmears. The age difference is the same for Ken. Brodom transcends age and gender and I don't exactly see him manifesting any romantic feelings for anyone at first anyway. A brotherly relationship is what I foresee before anything else.
Hmmm... maybe Izumi is the student assigned to help Kina.
You know, how some schools have programs where they assign a senior to a freshman to help them around?
...my old high school went from years 6 to 12, so a 15 year old would be halfway through high school already. :smalltongue:
Because there wouldn't be potential social awkwardness already? :smallwink:
Aki's 16, but I considered her a Junior.
And of course, the first day of school shall be Sören's first day on the job. :smallwink:
