Re: HALO 181: 0.55% Cooler Than The Last One!
[Tiri's Room]
"I just... Those are special to you, y'know? I would, but. I dunno. I'd hate to end up losing it to being swallowed by a giant fish monster or something." Tiri fidgets around a bit, looking younger than she did a few moments ago - she's very much the shy, sometimes awkward, girl he remembers at this point. "I know you have a ton of neat things. And I'm sure you're right. But... Yeah."
-
Re: HALO 181: 0.55% Cooler Than The Last One!
Tiri's Room
Evan shakes his head.
"Look, I have so many weapons that I don't know what to do with them. I want you to have one."
He gives Tiri an amused wink.
"I wouldn't offer if I didn't think you wouldn't take care of anything I gave you."
-
Re: HALO 181: 0.55% Cooler Than The Last One!
[Tiri's Room]
"...Does it come with a case, then, I guess?" She looks down at the floor, sighing softly. "'Cause, I mean... I don't really have one if not. Though... Thanks. I appreciate it. Been a while since I was given anything nice." Except the presents Bel gave her. But those don't really count, what with him being, y'know, a kidnapping slaver demon.

Re: HALO 181: 0.55% Cooler Than The Last One!
Tiri's Room
Evan nods. He's positively beaming.
"We can grab the case from my room later. I'm just glad it will get some use from someone who deserves it."
-
Re: HALO 181: 0.55% Cooler Than The Last One!
[Tiri's Room]
Tiri sighs, but nods, stepping forward to rummage through her closet; seems she plans to get whatever it is she came for aside from that first. Which proves to be a set of motorcycle leathers and a helmet in fairly short order!
-
Re: HALO 181: 0.55% Cooler Than The Last One!
Tiri's Room
Evan tilts his head in a retriever esque fashion.
"Where do you drive a bike around here?"
-
Re: HALO 181: 0.55% Cooler Than The Last One!
[Tiri's Room]
"Inside. Keep it at the docks, usually. Though, ah. One time I did decide that the city wasn't the most fun 'inside' to ride in and brought it back with me..." Tirya blushes a bit at the memory, turning towards another door - it's a safe bet she got quite a chewing out from Tobias for that particular stunt.
-
Re: HALO 181: 0.55% Cooler Than The Last One!
Tiri's Room
Evan bursts out laughing and moves to give Tiri a hair ruffle.
"Oh, we NEED to do that."
-
Re: HALO 181: 0.55% Cooler Than The Last One!
[Tiri's Room]
"You can do that. One major tongue-lashing by Tobias per lifetime is quite enough, thanks!" Still, she laughs as she shuts the door behind her, opening it back up to peek out around the edge a moment later. "And if you use my bike to do it he is going to make good on his threat to shoot it out an airlock. Which is going to mean you following it. We clear?"
-
Re: HALO 181: 0.55% Cooler Than The Last One!
Tiri's Room
Evan smirks at Tiri, crossing his arms and leaning against the wall.
"I've had people try to launch me into space. Death threats don't hold the same water they once did."
-
Re: HALO 181: 0.55% Cooler Than The Last One!
[Tiri's Room]
"Hmmmph. Then I will find out exactly what happened to your leg so I can do the same thing, only this time, I'll hit you in the balls." And, with that, she withdraws her head from the gap like a turtle. Seems she's rather fond of her bike.
-
Re: HALO 181: 0.55% Cooler Than The Last One!
Tiri's Room
Evan shakes his head.
"I was shot and then hit with black fire. It's a substance that normal is used to eat supernatural beings. I'd prefer not to have a repeat performance."
-
Re: HALO 181: 0.55% Cooler Than The Last One!
[Tiri's Room]
"That," comes the reply, muffled by the door. "Is exactly why it works as a threat."
Unless Evan has more to say, she'll step out a few minutes later in her black and grey leathers, pulling on a pair of gloves bearing a wing with an eye in it on the back of each; if he does, well, depends on if she'd respond or not.
-
Re: HALO 181: 0.55% Cooler Than The Last One!
Tiri's Room
Evan nods in approval.
"Very nice and hunter esque. I like it."
-
Re: HALO 181: 0.55% Cooler Than The Last One!
[Tiri's Room]
"I had this made when I was confirmed as a paladin. Wanted Aunt Carrie's symbol on them... Probably oughta change that now. What with serving someone else." She shrugs a bit, tucking her helmet under her arm. "...I dunno. She was still a good person. Maybe she doesn't deserve my throwing it all back in her face... Bah." She shakes her head, shrugging again as she quickly walks out the door. "Let's just get going."
-
Re: HALO 181: 0.55% Cooler Than The Last One!
Tiri's Room to Pods
Evan doesn't speak or attempt offer judgement. Instead he offers another hair ruffle and companionable silence as they walk.
-
Re: HALO 181: 0.55% Cooler Than The Last One!
[Pods]
Tirya seems content with that, though she slips on her helmet when they reach the pod; whether she's deliberately trying to shut out conversation or just acting out of habit isn't clear. Or maybe she expects the ocean to slap her across the face with a fish when they reach the surface; who knows?
-
Re: HALO 181: 0.55% Cooler Than The Last One!
Pods
Evan looks over at Tiri with concern. All that had happened to her in the future... No one should have to deal with that. Either way, he hits the switch for the pods and sends them towards their destination.
-
Re: HALO 181: 0.55% Cooler Than The Last One!
[Pods]
All that happened in her future? Her future was awesome. Carrie had just accepted her as a paladin, her family was proud of her, she had her friends, HALO was proudly protecting the Nexus... The only bad part was that she was broken up with Nirva. This is all stuff that's happened to her since she came here. Regardless, though, off to Inside they go!
((Have to switch, or may pass out on the couch. Will either keep posting or be on tonight.))

Linda sighs and relaxes a bit
It was ... interesting ... to meet you Mr. Lucky. Now if you'll excuse me, I need to stow this gear and get the spent battery on the charger. Have a nice day.
A quick salute to Grant
Sir.
And unless someone stops her, she departs.

Training Room
Here, a woman hones her skills, launching wave after wave of kicks, jabs, punches and backhands upon a hapless heavy bag. Her fists emit a steady flow of steam, and she grits her teeth through the pain, uniform bearing body ceaseless in assault. As her Tuscan red hair remains shorn short around this tanned and cyan-irised Survey Corps veteran, she manipulates her muscle-bound form with tenacity and anger.
Here, Sophia Godlark tries to let her fury flow through grunts and cries of combat, and prepare for the next fight.
((Open scene and not exposition monologue or whatever, btw. Experimenting with writing))

Lucky nods. "Later." He says as Linda leaves.
He turns to Grant and looks at him for a while. "Lucky needs someone to teach him about dis place."
Without a word, he departs.

"Yeah. I don't pretend to understand.
You also really need to watch more random videos. I know just the ones." Catherine says, pulling over the remote and setting the TV back for youtube. "Feel free to speak up if you don't."

Do you have anywhere you hang out usually, maybe? We could go there. Unless you prefer to hang out somewhere that most people aren't? But you seem like the sort who likes to have lots of friends around, I think?"
((More than likely!))
"Aaaaaaall righty. Oh, yeah, of course! Take your time getting settled! Make sure to pick out a room you like the location of. Any that aren't used would be fine. And I'm normally in a hallway somewhere reading. Or the library reading.
Don't really hang out with tooooo many people. Not sure why." Civvy says, chewing at her lower lip slightly. "But normally I'm easy enough to find! Did you want to go get settled now, or we could go to the library or something?"

[Kitchen]
Lucky walks into the kitchen and makes a beeline for the fridge. He opens it and starts raiding it, grabbing food here and there, not minding if he makes a mess.
He doesn't notice the other person in the kitchen. The other person he just moved out of the way like a cartoon door in order to get at the food.

Said person who just got Door'd out of the way stands there slightly, blinking a few times. "The Hell?" she asks no one in particular, taking a few steps away before turning and looking at Lucky. "The Hell?" She asks, directed at him.

Lucky turns and glances at Catherine. "Sorry, Lucky did not see you there."
He gives her a once-over. "Dragon." A dragon to be fought... but Grant did say things are different here. Doesn't mean he has to be nice about it.
"Pizza?" He offers her a slice.

"Yyyyesssss." Catherine agreed. "What gave me away? Was it the wings? Tail? Horns? I thought I was pretty darn incognito over here.
And no thanks." Catherine rejects his offer politely, holding up the plate of a dozen still raw hamburger patties she has.

He glances at her horns. "Quite young, are we?"

"Iunno. You met many dragons? They're a sarcastic lot.
What's on it?" Catherine asks, nodding at the pizza, before putting a smallish pan on to start heating up. "And Iiiii have no idea. Sure. Young."

((^.^))
"Library works!" Cirae smiles brightly, reaching out to squeeze Civvy's hand. "Not like I can't get settled later, and you're nice. Soooo I don't see why I'd do that over spending time with you?" She shrugs, looking slightly bemused. People are so silly sometimes.
"Speaking of the library, though! What sorts of things do you usually read?" The frost mage tilts her head curiously to the side, expression rapidly shifting to curiosity. "I mean, books, obviously but there are a lot of those."
