He tilts his head a little to the right, almost like he is about to say something... then, his head falls to the floor... followed by his arms, then torso, then finally his legs...
The audience is completely quiet... then the platform begins to rise back up... by the time it reaches the top most of the audience is screaming your name... although, the 5 or 6 that aren't screaming your name are looking at the stair case where you originally came into the underground area... a figure is visible as they reach the bottom steps...

Re: Giants a 3.5 experience (IC)
Not having managed to find a temple to a god of magic in the short time he was out before curfew, Vitis teleports to check on Atlus. Upon returning, he spends a few minutes to assure Atlus is stable, then buffs him up and ties him into the group telepathy channel.
After doing so, Vitis sends a message to Melk.
"I've just finished working on Atlus. I plan on joining you as a spectator soon. Could you please look around and find a nice spot for Atlus and I to teleport to?"

Hello, folks. I'm your new player. I won't be entering on the best of terms, but I hope to bring enjoyment to your sorry, dull, miserable lives.
A short, green figure steps down from his place above the staircase. Once you get a good look at him, you begin to wish you hadn't. He is about three feet tall, with warty green skin and an elongated nose. Some sort of a troll, probably, but one so small would have to be... a child? He is dressed in simple clothes, practically rags, and he holds two oddly-shaped knives, katars. As he nears you, he mutters a single word of magic, and they burst into flames. He grins wickedly as he speaks in a gruff voice, not fitting for one of his apparent age. 'Ello, luv. Name's Bugsy. You sure are a pretty one, ain't ya? Natural 20! Guess that means I go first. Also, small mistake there, my initiative is actually +19. Still won, though.
"Bugsy" rushes forward with unearthly speed, and suddenly he is upon you, slashing madly and precisely.
Making a charge, and I have the Dire Charge feat. Also casting extended wraithstrike. This means that she is flat-footed, and any armor, shield, or natural armor bonuses are negated. The only bonuses that would apply would be deflection bonuses, or those gained by being a monk. Also, targeting my dodge against her.

Sacrificing all my sneak attack damage to steal seven spell effects (I have constant arcane sight, so I would be able to see all the auras around her; was perusing the OOC, and noticed that she had oodles of buffs).
Since I wouldn't know what spells are on her, I just steal randomly, aside from trying to steal Energy Immunity (Fire) and Energy Resistance (Fire) (I don't actually remember whether those were any). If she has either of those, I take them, if not, it's determined randomly.

Gah, those were some terrible rolls. The first and last miss because they were natural ones. The eighth one was a critical threat, though.

However, congratulations on revealing yet another hole in my buffs defenses (Crits).

Re: Giants a 3.5 experience (IC)
Bugsy looks absolutely giddy as he neatly dodges attack after attack-one falls short, creating a clanging sound as thr sword clashes against a floating, invisible shield. However, somewhere in the mix, Shiver twists the blade just as he sidesteps, and the blade is buried deep in his thigh. Bugsy growls. Oi! Yer already a good looking' lass, why'a ya gotta go giving me a new scar like that?
Sorry to break this to you, but the only attacks that that hit were the 20s, and neither of those confirmed.
I'm not going to post my sheet, for fear of the other group seeing, but here's an explanation of my AC.
10 base +8 armor (bracers) +9 Shield (+7 animated heavy mithril shield, permanent invisibility on it) +5 deflection (Ring of protection) +11 natural (racial + amulet) +1 size, +1 dodge, +13 dex, and +13 monk bonus. Total of 71.
So, Bugsy takes 97 points of damage. Posting his turn in a moment.
-
Re: Giants a 3.5 experience (IC)
Bugsy grins. You ain't actually there, are ya? Got some nice spells on ya, you do. Perhaps ol' Bugsy oughta take 'em for himself, yes he should.
He mutters in an ancient tongue, and his eyes glow violet. Now, he can tell exactly where the frost giant is....
The troll then reaches out with his weapon, and attempts to bluff the frost giant into falling for his feint.
Suddenly, he adjusts his belt, and time seems to give him an advantage. He begins to lash out with his Kukris again.
Casting quickened true seeing, then making a feint attempt. Bluff check: [roll0]
Shiver gets an attack of opportunity, though I have mobility, so against it, my AC is 75.
Then, use Belt of Battle to gain a full-round action. Using this to activate my Ring of Diamond Mind (Greater) to activate the Time Stands Still maneuver.
Due to the feint, she is flat-footed against the first attack. My extended wraithstrike is still in effect, so it is also a touch attack. This means, as before, that everything but deflection bonuses are negated, but this time, only for the first attack. The others are all touch attacks. Due to true seeing, displacemeny does not apply. I'll determine stolen spells randomly again.
Attacks (more this time, I love this maneuver):
[roll1] (Touch + FF)
[roll2] (This and the rest are touch)
[roll3]
[roll4]
[roll5]
[roll6]
[roll7]
[roll8]
[roll9]
[roll10]
[roll11]
[roll12]
[roll13]
[roll14]
[roll15]
[roll16]
[roll17]
[roll18]
[roll19]
[roll20]
Handling damage in next post.

Re: Giants a 3.5 experience (IC)
Okay...so...
Not a single 1, and one critical threat. Everything hit.
Stealing Fire Immunity, Displacement, True Seeing, and four random effects.
Confirmation:
[roll0]
Extra Critical Damage: [roll1]
Damage:
[roll2]
Fire Damage (including from crit):[roll3]
Stolen spell effects:
[roll4]
[roll5]
[roll6]
[roll7]
So I stole Starmantle, Accuracy, Nondetection, Life's Grace
EDIT: That puts you at a grand total of -15 HP, unless you've got some sort of DR.
EDIT II: However, I just realized. You never rolled your reflex saves against my attacks last round granted from Starmantle (wouldn't apply now). You probably actually succeeded at all of them, and are thus at 4 hp. (You should roll them anyway, if you fail one or two you'll just be at negative HP).

Well... I'd say he makes a decent addition to the group, wouldn't you? And if he doesn't have to steal the buffs off of any of you... I can see him being able to take down anything I throw at you... including the other group...

Now, I wouldn't say that. But it does seem I did a decent job optimizing.

Re: Giants a 3.5 experience (IC)
Bugsy doesn't find anything much that he wants from the giantess, except her cloak. He realizes that it is far too big for him, and frowns. He instead grabs some of the expensive jewelry on her.. Well luv, I suppose Bugsy'll leave ya wif everythin' else. He leans into her ear, and grins. Jus' be glad I don't take what I really want from you, luv- doubt them friends a' yours in the stands would be awright with that, though.
To get the message across, he gives her a slight slap on the rear, before yelling out. Oi! Could someone cart 'er off or sumfin'? I don' want her in the way when I wallop the next bloke!

SHAKE
Shake watches her sister's "battle" from her seat in the stands. Its obvious she is not impressed with what happens...but when the troll-child desecrates her sister's cloak, it doesnt take a sense motive to read the cold fury written across her face.

Re: Giants a 3.5 experience (IC)
Melk
"Hold the popcorn, I'll just go get her."
Melk floats down to the arena (teleporting if necessary), and retrieves Shiver. He also gives the troll a confused look.
"Was that truly necessary, you've made an even greater enemy."
Melk then Flies (Teleports) away to the stands.
"She'll probably wake back up in a minute or two. Best of luck Shake. I do hope I didn't cross any lines by taking her back up here and... Eh, I guess I did inadvertently touch a woman without her permission. I'm a horrible person."
Melk seems a bit depressed and angry with himself.

Teleporting in with Fusion elemental in tow, Vitis seems to disappear and the reappear beside Shake, Healing her repeatedly, then refreshing the buffs that went missing, while dismissing the stolen versions.

Healing as per the spell. 450 hp worth should be enough.
I seem to remember something about no spellcasting in the arena, but can't seem to find it.
Also, sorely tempted to activate the Aries Combat system and Punch out Bugsy in the first round, but that would be poor form.

Re: Giants a 3.5 experience (IC)
Actually, you have no way of dismissing the stolen spells. I am now in complete control of them, albeit for only 22 minutes.
Also, if no spellcasting is allowed, then shiver already broke that rule.

The "officials" have no proof she had spells cast upon he prior to the fight... and even had she had spells cast on her prior to combat there is no problem with it... you just have to provide a source for you to get spells from such as friends and/or by paying one of the on site clerics.

I have never been one to make something that is airtight and without very obvious ways to get around things... besides with out said "loophole" Shiver would have ended up dieing... and I would feel bad if that happened, after all, as DM I'm supposed to keep the players happy... and most people don't like it when their characters die.. I personally like it when my characters die, it gives me a chance to try something new... although, I know people that get very attached to the characters and become quite upset when their characters get even close to dieing... (which is why when either I am DM or player, I try to get their characters killed... I find it fun... I realize that makes me a terrible person but, that's life.)

Re: Giants a 3.5 experience (IC)
Hmm. No spells, eh? Bugsy's hardly going to let that happen.
He casts limited wish, duplicating the effect of a glibness spell- He loses 300 exp, but he probably got more than that by beating shiver.
If someone tries to tell him he broke the rules, he explains that it was not, in fact, magic, but rather a trick to convince the giant that it was magic, so that she would let her guard down, thinking he had cheated and thus would lose anyway; he further explains that, should this happen again, it will have been the same thing.

Elders?... wait... your kind of like Yoda... also, hope that decision won't be your last... he says before turning and yelling Sven! We've got someone who wants to fight you!
Shortly after he says that a Minotaur comes walking slowly (and clumsily, I forgot about his amazing Dex score...) out of a room that is just behind the crowd... Bugsy can't see much other than the tops of its horns, then it casually says Move..., and a good section of the crowd disperses in front of him... you all can now see him rather easily... he is Large, his fur is tan in color and behind him he drags with ease a very large hammer... The floor begins to lower where both of you are and in between... the area that is lowered is 160ft long, 80ft wide and 80ft deep (It would make a decent swimming pool if it were full of water...) Now, seeing as what happened quite recently I will ask this... Are you ready? the "official" says down into the pit...

He rushes forward, as he did with shake. He attempts to steal any fire resistance he has, and also Mind Blank, if he has it. He uses the rest to steal any other spell effects (if he has none, it's automatically switches to regular sneak attack damage)

Keep in mind, he needs to make a DC 15 fortitude save or die from massive damage (that's saved me a lot in the past, 5% chance of death every round? Love it.)

Bugsy grins. And I'll be sorry to hurt a poor dumb bloke like you. Imagine what your family will say when they learned you got beaten up by a little kid.
He rushes forward, as he did with shake. He attempts to steal any fire resistance he has, and also Mind Blank, if he has it. He uses the rest to steal any other spell effects (if he has none, it's automatically switches to regular sneak attack damage)
Using dire charge again, and casting extended wraith strike.

Afterwards, I cast Quickened Telekinesis, using violent surge. He needs to make a will save (DC 28) or his hammer goes flying into the stands.
No auras...

Re: Giants a 3.5 experience (IC)
In that case, sneak attack damage: [roll0]
Applied it for the first attack. Do you apply sneak attack for all the attacks of a full attack, or just the first? I always do the latter in my games, but I've had DMs who let players make every attack in a full attack a sneak attack.

Re: Giants a 3.5 experience (IC)
And now I would like to thank our friendly neighborhood artificer for that starmantle spell I managed to steal. I'd also like to give an honorable mention to my sensei for supplying me with evasion. Without these two things, it's not even funny how dead I would be.

Oh, and also thanks to Vitis, I have displacement. If this is a 1, that attack missed too. [roll0]

Re: Giants a 3.5 experience (IC)
Bugsy dances around Sven's second hammer, dodging blow after furious blow with grace endowed upon him by the stolen spell. However, he fails to move swiftly enough against one attack, and the hammer comes crashing down- on his displaced image.
The little troll smirks. Svenny- may I call you Svenny? You'll have to try better than that.
He then continues his assault, and his blades suddenly are difficult to make out, surrounded by a mystical blur. The Minotaur is unable to discern where exactly Bugsy will strike, making his attacks all the deadlier. His other spell also aids him, and the flaming knives go straight through his tough bovine hide and into the soft flesh beneath. Amidst the blur, he tries to hit the unsuspecting minotaur with another spell.
Activating blurstrike quality on my katars. He's flatfooted against these attacks, and the extended wraithstrike still applies.
