Re: Report Inappropriate Ads Here
Guys, this is not a place for discussion, just to report (and there's no need to re-report what someone else has reported in your region). I know I technically helped the discussion along, so there's some extra leniency there.
Also, please don't post images of the advert in the thread. If you wish to show an administrator or moderator the image at their request, then please PM it to them. Screenshots can be handy to have, but just mention that you have taken one please (or send it immediately if you know it is wanted).
As far as whether it's sexual or not, these points lead me to think it's not:- It's hard to see, but the first thing of note is that the person is not sitting directly on top of the body, it's off-centre.
- Given the context of the comic, a story about someone who kills witches, it's hardly going to be a sexual image. It's most probably violent, actually.
- The phrasing seems to be "Witches, absolutely everywhere." with a negative connotation on whether that is a good or bad thing.
As for the obfuscated swearing, as mentioned above, I'm leaving that for The Giant to weigh in on.
Of course, these are just my thoughts, The Giant might see it differently.

Re: Report Inappropriate Ads Here
Can I suggest that, as part of the process of reporting an inappropriate ad, people be encouraged to check all regions real quick to see if the ad is universal? It's fairly easy to click the "your ad could be here, right now" link and check the winning bid in each region.

The site sells strategy guides, actually, as stated on the ad.

Re: Report Inappropriate Ads Here
Strategy guides are fine. No action taken.

Re: Report Inappropriate Ads Here

That's a spambot. The best thing to do is the report the post as spam using the report icon (the triangle with the the red border).

Re: Report Inappropriate Ads Here
Yeah, the ad is weird, so I came here to report it, too, but then I remembered it being mentioned here a long time ago and voila:

Atheism ad is canceled; advertiser has not been blocked because it's the same person as the baby ad (which says to me that they are capable of running ads that do not violate our policies). I've contacted them regarding our policies on religion, so if the atheism ad shows up again, please report it and the advertiser will be permanently blocked.

Re: Report Inappropriate Ads Here
Oh okay. I didn't click on it, because it was raising all sorts of red flags for scams. I had no idea it was for a novel.

Maybe we should stop reporting ads without even looking at them first?

I looked at it. Nothing on the ad suggests its anything but a scam, which is why I didn't click the link as a safety measure.

If you do, I'd suggest using a locked-down browser to do that. NoScript, Request Policy, and AdBlock Plus, for example, all set to rather strict settings. Malware, scam, phishing, and similar sites can be pretty nasty and subtle.

If the ad isn't actually a scam I request it still be banned on the basis that the baby face is extremely creepy and I expect it to haunt my dreams tonight. Seriously. The face by itself bothered me on a deep enough level that I sought out this thread.
If that's not sufficient justification... alright I guess, but please PLEASE make it go away if at all possible.

Re: Report Inappropriate Ads Here
There's a "watch lego movie free" thread that was created in the homebrew forums.

You can deal with those by clicking the report post button near the bottom left corner of the post. This thread is generally for reporting inappropriate ads that appear at the top or bottom of the screen.

The other zones are clean atm.

Info to ad: I googled "Lula online" and its a MMO about the sex industry. Definitely does not meet this forums regulations.

Unless, of course, those are actually supposed to be cantaloupe or something, positioned so that the casual observer would think it's a woman holding her breasts.
-
Re: Report Inappropriate Ads Here
Also (and maybe worse), she's either drooling or it's, er... it's another bodily fluid.

In the linked comic, they are indeed massive peaches that she's salivating over. Mod discretion as to how far the innuendo goes.
-
Re: Report Inappropriate Ads Here
Well, I blocked it just now before coming to this thread and finding out they were peaches, but honestly, it doesn't matter what the context in the comic is if the ad itself looks inappropriate sitting at the top of our page.
Advertiser blocked.

Re: Report Inappropriate Ads Here
It's not a scam so far as I can tell, but it definitely appears illegal.
