Indeed
Though if Wikipedia is to be believed, there is no actual instrument called a "Fiddle", but the word can refer to lots of different types of intrument.

Re: ABR Discussion Thread XXXI - The Gift of Fish
I'd like to see someone play the Harp or Piano in a fiddle-like way. :smalltongue:

Well I can't say i've ever heard of him, and even if I did my list of known celebrities and musicians by their face let alone name is tiny.

Well he's not a musician. His name is Harpo Marx, he was one of the Marx Brothers, a group of Vaudeville comedians who started making some very funny movies way back when.

Re: ABR Discussion Thread XXXI - The Gift of Fish
Fiddling is just a specific style of playing a violin. It's kinda like the difference between playing chords on a guitar and playing (on the same guitar) some kind of crazy rock song.

Oddly enough i've heard of the Marx Brothers, I just would never recognize them by face. :smalltongue:

They're pretty distinctive, but if you havn't seen their movies you probably wouldn't recognize them.
-
Re: ABR Discussion Thread XXXI - The Gift of Fish
I'd have to have watched all of their movies several times over before I can even begin to recognize their faces, it's not that i've never seen them it's just that without any major distinguishing features it's very hard to recognize anyone.

Probably not, they always wear the same outfits, and essentially play the same characters in every movie. Harpo always has that Hat and hair.
Of course, the most recognizable is Groucho, if you'd seen any of their movies, you'd definitely recognize him (provided he has the moustache and cigar, which he always does).

Y'know...if you want to move things forward, you could move things forward. Even if it's just a matter of Team Good going through the opening.
Just sayin'. :/

Eh. I had to get Victor off the ship anyways. Besides, it was mostly a way to see who was still doing the comic.

Re: ABR Discussion Thread XXXI - The Gift of Fish
I'm going to be doodling a Sgt Pepper ABR thingamajiggy later tonight.
Xartyve2 will be Paul McCartney and Q can be Ringo Starr (c'mon, they were made for each other).
Any thoughts on who should be Lennon and Harrison?

So?! Q isn't ugly! Other then his bulbous nose, where could you possibly get the notion Q is ugly? And how does he fits Ringo's personality at all?!
If anything, he should be the one who claimed they were bigger then Jesus. That sounds like something Q would say.

I dunno (partly cuz i dunno who Ringo is). How do you fit in with a pikachu? Or X2 fit with Bayonetta? Or me fit with a elf sorcerer?

i wasn't alive when the beatles were around =/ and i can't remember hearing any of their songs... though that's not surprising, since i never really associate the artist with the song anyway.

I dunno about me and Bayonetta but she and Xartyve2 sure have a lot in common, super powered spellcasters with only one life whose abilities are granted by some hell creature(s). They both have amnesia and are justifiably overconfident.
Holy crap! That's scary!
