Interesting... Slow connection here, and it didn't seem like it the click worked at first, so I hit it again and got the standard "you just posted this two seconds ago, you idiot" message. So that's definitely weird.

Note to self, in next campaign, punish players for sleeping. Or trancing. No loopholes, elves!

But remember to punish the player, not the character. That's the most effective way :smallcool:

If one of the players falls asleep during a session, maybe it's time to call it a night, rather than punish them? We ain't as young as we used to, after all. Can't pull off those all-nighter sessions.
Also, you have elven players? Damn, I'm even more jealous now.

And that's a really huge plot twist: The return of the elves.

Elven players have no problems with this aging thing...

Oh, not during the game, I mean in general. I find the walking haze after two months without sleep really enhances the immersion, and it's totally not lethal.

Well, they're tempered by the giants.

Isn't the entire point of Hel's plan that the mortals won't die in battle?

I can't work out why my insomnia only kicks in after I drive home, instead of at the game table where it would come in handy...
I was once classified as a dwarf by my group. 18 CON, 16 STR, about 8 Charisma. And I never shave the beard.

Dwarven vampires can drink non-dwarven blood, if that's what you're asking. And if the bet ends with the world, what happens to the mortals who die after the world ends is probably not affected by the bet. And if the gods were able to reliably save all their followers, Heimdall would probably not talk them dying the way that he does. Presumably, the gods are unwilling to directly affect an intact world within a certain distance of a rift lest the Snarl reacts and comes after them, so people in the vague vicinity of a rift are doomed; and that includes a lot of dwarves, what with Kraggor's Gate being where it is, and that's enough for Hel's purposes.
...I called this overcomplicated because of how overcomplicated it is <<;

Interesting enough, when I had a beard (for three years until very recently), it was the amount of white there that denounced my real age, since my hair is still intact.:smallcool:

Re: What plot twist most disappointed you?
Psh, I had my first gray hair at 19. If anything my hair and beard make me look older than I am. (Although I've also been told my face looks younger, all of which is odd since up until about age 30 it was pretty common for people to think I was about five years older than I actually was.)

Honestly, my day started with an electrical tether breaking down right in my station (you know 'cause the accident two days ago further down the line wasn't enough) meaning I was late for work and most people I had to call at work I couldn't join because they were on strike. All in all, a pretty normal day.

I like the beginning of this joke, but at the end, I don't know. It really took a turn for the worse.

I feel like you're just trying to spin this to your own narrative.

If so, it's a rather roundabout way of getting to it.
