Re: Goblins VIII: This Thread Contains An Unexpected Variable
Spoiler
Show
Maybe the sword's made of rust monster bits...so it...slowly wears down the enemy's weapon and armor with contact.

Re: Goblins VIII: This Thread Contains An Unexpected Variable
WMG:
Spoiler
Show
MinMax: I'm never going to wear that!
Kin: Psimax said you've died a million times in the Tower room. Maybe that's because you never wore the armor before? [maybe resorts to saying he looks handsome in it?]
MinMax: *puts on armor, lives through tower room, pwns PsiMax*
As for the sword, the fact that he had been using the wooden sword that broke his previous METAL sword, yeah rust could easily be the best of the three :P

Really? you're talking to 'Tenchi Muyo! Ryo-Ohki' fan here. I waited 12 years for some sort of conclusion for a storyline :/

Re: Goblins VIII: This Thread Contains An Unexpected Variable
It could be worse... it could be Galaxy Angel. Or Digi Charat. (incidentally, both the original Galaxy Angel game has both an actual plot and a proper ending, as does the Inuyasha manga, from what I heard)
Ontopic: it's lightish red!

Interesting quote by Thunt on the Goblins forum:

I freakin' love this armour and sword. I've been bouncing up and down for seven and a half years, waiting to introduce them into the comic.
Well, that certainly sounds promising. The question is, will they be beneficial or irritating?

Both, naturally! :)

"...so the Boots of Speed were totally powerful, but they were, like, lime green."
How much help would a sword of rust be if barely a third of their opponents actually wear metal armor? I guess there are all the utility functions, but still.

Galaxy Angel isn't supposed to have an ending! That's like complaining that you were disappointed by the ending to The Far Side.
EDIT: Also, all the other times, he didn't need armor. The only reason he needs it now is because he threw it into the hole, which didn't occur on any previous iteration.

Fortitude saving throw DC 24 or catch tetanus.

The sword can rust the very iron in your blood!:smalleek::smalltongue:
So question for you guys; Tempts fate is immortal now right? Assuming he doesnt die for the next ten thousand years, how many offspring do you expect he'll sire? I'm guessing plenty, as he'll probably become a legend among his people during that time.:smalltongue:

Especially once he manages to save the girls in the hot chicks in oil dimension, and they all agree to bear his children in thanks.

True, and he already saved them, dammit, I just reread the comics and saw that.

Re: Goblins VIII: This Thread Contains An Unexpected Variable
Tempts fate made a "deal with the devil". He willingly accepted a curse without reading the fine print on how the curse works.
These never end well: http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.ph...alWithTheDevil
Oldest trick in the book, Devil pretends to be stupid and lets himself be "outsmarted". Tempts Fate is noob, so he falls for it. Just like rings of power in LOTR, he will slowly be corrupted into what goblins most despise.
...
If only Blue Teddy from TF10 was the hero, this wouldn't happen. Support Blue Teddy! Help replace TF with a *real* hero, rather than a torturer.

Lovin Minmax's new armor. Reminds me of this one group I ran with. The barbarian in our group found and I qoute:

A pink frilly tu-tu of Strength +6
and he wore it with pride for the rest of the campaign.

Now, wait a tick. I'm no chemist, but I seem to remember from highschool that rust is basically oxidization, and the process that hemoglobin goes through when you breathe is similar?
Which would mean that you'd basically be extra-oxygenating the enemy's blood. Which does not seem very productive :smalltongue:.
On the other hand, perhaps we could use Rust monsters as rebreathers...

Re: Goblins VIII: This Thread Contains An Unexpected Variable
I wouldn't hold my breath for baby Temptses - it would be pretty hard to get it on while the demon makes sarcastic comments in the background.

Re: Goblins VIII: This Thread Contains An Unexpected Variable
"I... don't think I've ever felt this kind of connection with another person before." "Oooh, third time this week! I can't see, is this one prettier than the other two?"

The comment above mine! Tempts tries to talk to a lady while the demon makes comments and ruins things?

Oh, now I get it. Somehow missed the comment above yours, the subscription email jumped straight to yours.

Re: Goblins VIII: This Thread Contains An Unexpected Variable
I feel stupid for asking because apparently I am the only one having this question, but ... but why can they get the key now? Wasn't each group supposed to be unable to get past all barriers so that they have to team up? Wasn't one of Zombie-Forgath's alternative plans to cut off somebody's arm?
-

The other team had already removed three of the keys by themselves, so all this team needed to do was remove the last one.

It's the intelligence key. They needed Minmax to get it, because he's the only one with low enough int. The other group had already gotten the other three, and now that the fight's over MM can just reach in and grab it so they can take the treasure for themselves.

The barrier only required someone of low inteligence, the other team had no dumb minmax and got the rest of the keys already.
-
Re: Goblins VIII: This Thread Contains An Unexpected Variable
Triple thanx, lol.
Didn't realize they already removed the keys before the fights started.

Should cause oxygen poisoning.
