I just watched that on Sunday. I was sort of disappointed, it certainly wasn't bad, but I had unreasonable expectations.

aw. well hopefully whatever it is will come soon.
It should come soon. I'm just an incredibly impatient person.
Also, I hope nothing ripped/slid off during the cat tackling. That would have been....embarrassing. :smalltongue:

I loved it. Wasn't the best, but it was great. Although with all the throat slicing I was cringing half the time >.<. Its why I can't watch monster movies now a days. too much blood and gore for me XD

Well, the Mikado gets a gold drink, we all get pink 'champage' and Katisha gets Ribena.

And yes. Pinafore Act I finale, pages 58-86 in the vocal score. Act II finale, pages 141-150.
Guess it makes sense. Glad to see it's not just me being odd.

You've gone and done it now, Thufir, you've made Curly one of those 'musy-kans' with your Gilbert and Sulivan talk. She'll consume the music sheets too now! Aaaaaah you've doomed us all!

Thus cried the infidel, yet was Thufir still strong in his faith and devotion to the Goddess. And he spake unto the infidel, saying thusly:
"All knowledge is sacrament unto Curly, and sacrament may not be refused to Her glory. Yet the faithful will be assured of a place in Her celestial library, while only the heathens shall be cast into the dark and mindless abyss whence the light and thought has been removed."

Mikado:
From every kind of man
Obedience I expect;
I'm the Emperor of Japan
Katisha:
And I'm his daughter-in-law elect!
He'll marry his son
(He's only got one)
To his daughter-in-law elect!
Mikado:
My morals have been declared
Particularly correct;
Katisha:
But they're nothing at all, compared
With those of his daughter-in-law elect!
Bow~
Bow
To his daughter-in-law elect!
Chorus:
Bow~
Bow
To his daughter-in-law elect.
I can't remember the rest except it turns into a singing duel between the Mikado and his daughter-in-law elect with the chorus backing her up because of the O ni bikkuri shakkuir to! fiasco in the Act I Finale.
I love our Katisha, she's got a very good singing voice.
EDIT:And thus Koorly appeared on the eighteenth day of the penultimate month and lo, she spake:
My High Priest Thufir of the ChessMuffins speaks the truth. For all words, I hold most sacred (excepting that which is written of vegetarian vampires with that most peculiar sparkling skin), and especially do I view Gilbert and Sullivan with favour.
'Tis right, and unsinful to know and to sing these works.
Besides, Bath, really. Anything written down is mine, you should know that by now.
And with a final nod to her worshippers she disappeared back into that infinite realm which is now her personal library.

Re: Perenelle's Pleasantly Playful and Passionately Peculiar Random Banter #133
That's the one. From every kind of man, etc. For some reason my brain kept skipping either forward to 'A More Humane Mikado' or sideways to 'I am the Monarch of the Sea'.

Blarg, I've made my decision, I'll burn in the pit of a thousand celebrity magasines if I must. Don't say I didn't warn you all!

You'd actually burn in a pit of one million porrly written romance novels and then move on the the slow broiling over the Pot of Badly Written Fanfiction.

Hahaha! I like those things! Dr. Bath wins again! Sorta.
And it was always written word. Squiggly musy-kal blobs aren't really words, they're not even letters.

But the lyrics are words, so they're mine. The squiggly blobs are musical words, so I can steal them by default and some technical wrangling.
Hey wait. Aen't you in a G&S Society too? :smallconfused:

They amuse me, particularly badly written fanfiction. Like the one where Goku fights Hitler, who goes super saiyan (very Aryan) and goes off into the sunset with Anne Frank. What is not to like?
I was too sick to go to all the opening meetings, so lost track of where they met. I'll try again next year.

Re: Perenelle's Pleasantly Playful and Passionately Peculiar Random Banter #133
I demand a link! That sounds crazy, and yet somwhere very cool.
Also, can't you just email them for a map?
EDIT:
I have an early tutorial tomorrow an I still have to print out my essay. To bed, I should be going, but sleep has not yet seen fit to dust my eyes bright and wakeful so at the computer I shall sit.
Bad idea?

Re: Perenelle's Pleasantly Playful and Passionately Peculiar Random Banter #133
:o...Curly *I really have to keep preventing myself from calling you "Kit"*, you have the best avatars. :3 Nice Black/White mage combo there. *nod*
I've never seen the huge appeal towards bad fanfiction though. :/ I mean I get the whole "Dramatic Reading" thing and just outright roasting bad writing...so I guess actually I do get it entirely. o.o;
Edit: Oh yeah, and because some of them are just so bizarre they have to be read. Though speaking of having to read things, I need to get myself a good book to read. :smallfrown: The last good book I had to flip through ran out weeks ago.
Edit of the Edit: Yes, Kit Curly, it is a bad idea. D: Not that I would know how to stop you. ;-; I do it all the time. :p When I could be using my twilight hours to write an epic tale. Or at least a fairly amusing anecdote.
What do I do instead?
Well, I just got the Megaton Hammer and I'm on my way to the Zora Lake. That should probably be all the details you need.

It's here. I apologise in advance for the godawful background, but that's what you get.
Eeeh. I kinda spend enough time not-working already (sci-fi society, anime, wall climbing, watching dave, playing xbox, interwobbing, staring at walls, reading stuff, mooching about, getting splashed by buses etc)

I have a 10am lecture tomorrow and I didn't get enough sleep last night. Given the serious risk of me sleeping through the lecture if I go to bed, I'm actually considering staying up all night. Then I can go to my lecture and the postgraduate open day before coming home and sleeping.
I think my idea is worse than yours. Yet so intriguing...

All the wife could do is harm the body. The old man is already dead from shock and awe before the wife can even react.

the fact that you guys are mapping out the possible reactions of an old man seeing me naked is rather odd.. >.>

You shouldn't have mentioned nudity. Even when Cobra isn't here. It brings out the dark side of the board it seems.
