Can certainly run any tests that may be needed, Moswyn can assuredly do all that wherever needed and will be summoned as needed.

I don't think that I OOC or Macharius IC know much about Hannabel's backstory, other than that he found her in Footfall and she's now very attached to the ship.
Feel like a WP test to keep his composure is appropriate: [roll0] vs 44
@PotatoGolem
Well, that's a suitably grand and sneaky plan. Well done, sir!
Thank you! I'm rather proud of it myself. I think it accomplishes everyone's goals, including Alia's.
Well, she's on board. If you'd like, you have a last chance here to ask further questions, and then I can do a big post summarising the results of your deal? I'm assuming you do intend to have Ravia take samples from them all, as part of your plan, but secretly Hannabel's plan? We're getting very close to the end of this one, depending on your further choices, and I'm eager to see it wrapped.
I'd very much like for Hannabel to have first dibs on the results of the tests and possibly have a moment with Alia depending on what the tests show. Assuming she agrees to the tests of course...
I welcome our new friend and the eventful trouble she'll probably get us into for chapters to come. Kennoch is less enthusiastic.
Update's up, and it's a bit of a large one, but still a few things I need from you guys before we can truly wrap this arc. At very least, I'll require a Medicae test from Ravia to run the samples she collected. Also any last things you want to tie up or look into while you're still at Scintilla. And, I suppose, any of same resulting from Alia's revelation at the end there...
Anyways, I think I know what the next steps are - a brief stop at a Navy base for some paperwork regarding the Terminus, and then back through the maw to deal with the Witch-Cursed World. This arc has been very, very long though, and I'm sure there could be some things here or there that I've forgotten.
After that I'll hand out, at long last, some XP and bonuses. You guys deserve them.
Hmm. I have questions. Will need to write the post when I'm more awake. Anika is going to need to double check Alia's information at the very least.
Arrived on Scintilla early December 2021 so roughly a year and a quarter
Medicae Tn 88 [roll0] plus or minus any other bonuses like Moswyn (whose stats i seem to have lost)
Haval has Moswyn's stats in the 'auction post' part of Anika's sheet. Mostly it's the same as a standard Remedium medicae servitor.
Anyways, some results for Ravia:
Spoiler: Ravia OnlyThe genetic markers that Hannabel was looking for are all there, for Alia but not any of the others. Alia is the only one with any anomalies on her results. Apart from the markers Hannabel was looking for, there's also a bunch of strangeness. Her sample includes a mix of DNA that is definitely human, but has been repaired somehow - juvenat treatments or similar, and DNA that is almost human but not quite - possibly xenos origin. Despite her rather extensive knowledge of the subject, Ravia does not recognise the xenos markers. It is possible Alia has had xenos grafts applied, which would certainly explain her obviously enhanced agility in the recordings from the underhive lab. They are not from any species Ravia knows, but Alia is supposed to be from another sector, it's possible they are native to there. It is also possible they are something new. More research will be required to know for sure
I think that's it for me. I'm sure that after we leave Scintilla, I'll remember something else I wanted to attempt, but Kennoch already investigated the shipping manifest and met with the Astropaths. Can't do a final shopping trip, since we're still temporarily broke. :smalltongue: So I believe I'm good to go when the rest of you finish.
Pretty sure I'll want a little scene with Sargon after we leave Port Wander but before we actually enter the Maw, though. But maybe that can happen on its own separate timeline so as to not hold up everybody else when we get there.
As much as I want to move forward immediately, I am hesitant to do so until everyone's finished. Do let me know once you're ready to move forward, you're not likely to be coming back to Scintilla for some time.
Hoping for a response from Leon before moving on.
Macharius will share the letter with the command crew (everyone, feel free to read the "Macharius" spoiler). Unless anyone has a response, I'm ready to leave
There's one thing I can probably timesplit about. Ideally I'd like to get someone on Scintilla to stay in touch with Anika about anything interesting that Alia might be doing in the future.
The other thing I can do on the way.
Anything that Anika finds out on the Denaire's will be passed onto Macharius obviously.
bit tired, but I've put up an update for you. Time to get this show on the road, I think. Rax and Leon, of course feel free to continue your conversation, but at this point I'm fairly confident there won't be anything further in it that I need to respond to. I could be wrong, and if I am we'll deal with that, but I really don't want to delay this too much longer.
Anyways.
Congratulations on reaching the end of that adventure! It ran on quite long, much more than I had expected. Over a year and a half, meaning it took up approximately 30% of the campaign's runtime to date. We passed the five year anniversary a couple weeks ago, incidentally, so that's a nice milestone. We're still never going to catch The Bloody Crown, but it's a heck of a lot longer than most PbPs manage. Glad to have you all still along for the ride.
And now, the moment you've all been waiting for: XP and other rewards! 30% of the game's runtime deserves some rather significant gain, I think.
First, I'm handing out 4 Profit Factor. This is a result of the prestige and connections you were able to squeeze out of the Stalker investigation, including the gratitude of Governor Hax, which is kind of a big deal. I'm also granting you 400 points towards the Terminus endeavour - Hax's word opens a lot of doors, and you did put some direct work into the project.
Next, Experience. This adventure was... a lot, and advances are getting expensive. 1200XP for everyone. This is primarily for sticking it out and wrapping the Stalker investigation, but also includes the other work you did. Negotiating the Stalker down was an interesting choice, and not the way I expected things to go. Though really, none of this adventure went the way I expected.
Now then! A last few individual matters...
Echo has been doing a lot of individual work and research. I'm giving him access to Forbidden Lore (Daemonology) at a cost of 200XP.
Ravia's done some interesting things as well, albeit mostly secretly. Giving her access to Forbidden Lore (Warp), also at 200XP, might come up with a way to track her secret project. Let me think on that.
Then of course there's the matter of the Stalker's armour. You can keep it as a trophy, but it's about the right size to fit Hannabel. It's gene-locked though, and not a perfect fit, so it would require some tweaking. And a new helmet.
Not sure if there's anything to offer Macharius and Anika. I think most of what I would have given you guys has already been awarded one way or the other.
Wow, this really was a long one. A fun one though! Looking forward to the next step.
FYI, I'm leaving for vacation/a good friend's wedding for a week, so I may not post much (and won't spend xp until I get back and have access to books)
Well, Hannabel is always up for trying new stuff, so it would be cool if Macharius does decide to keep the armour. Ravia might be interested in examining it as well.
BTW, just so it's absolutely clear - Alia remains on Scintilla, right?
Huzzar! And 5 years, wow. Well done all.
Five years!
I may be forgetting the details of something, but there's nothing tied to Scintilla. I'm going to try and read through the recent part of the thread at some point.
Woof--this week's been rough, so I'm going to try to post tomorrow. Sorry for the delay. In the meantime, what do you think about me picking up Scrutiny as an Elite Advance? We talked about it at the beginning of the last episode. Echo had a crash course with Anika way back at the start, and we've been involved in a lot of intrigue and social business lately. If you're ok with the idea, what would the xp price be?
It really is! WRT the armor, Macharius would be fine with Hannabel taking most of it, but he's mounting the helmet in his trophy room. It's a good symbol of dynastic might and all that. Also slightly crumpled from being hit with a thunder hammer.
Spoiler: RaxJust because tone is somewhat hard to convey IC- Macharius is more talking in a "friendly chat" way than an "interrogation" way. He didn't bring it up while they were on Scintilla because he trusts that she's not like a Chaos cultist or a major traitor, but it is something he's now curious about.
EDIT: also, how long is this trip? IIRC, Macharius was about halfway through training the Praetorians and needed a few more weeks to get them into shape.
Why couldn't you have asked me that a few days ago when I was working out how many weeks to knock off of the Port Davis Progress-o-meter? You might as well count it as two, I think that's what I figured for the time out from Scintilla and the time spent kicking about waiting for inspections.
Oh and yeah, the armour would absolutely need a new helmet anyways. There's no fixing the be-hammered one.
Sorry! Just thought of it
I've been thinking about the training rules too. Kennoch can take Command at this new Rank, so I'm considering it for his Rings. Mostly just for fun. With the bonuses for his Peer (Voidborn) and focusing on a small group of minions, he should have an ok chance of passing even with his poor Fellowship. I wasn't sure if we could break up the training into chunks; that's good to know.
Looked it up and all I needed was one more week and a passed Command check. Macharius can't fail that, but [roll0] vs 112. Praetorians are now rating 60 and ready to start training up new recruits next time we have downtime.
