Powergamers don't sleep. They plot.
I can't argue against knee-jerk preconceptions, I'm sorry D: I'll just give you some factoids:
- Mage is a game about having Ultimate Cosmic Power(tm)
- Mages are very clearly on the top of the supernatural food chain, and are meant to be. One Mage splatbook outright states that the Seers of the Throne, a group comprising about 20% of all Mages, could end the world if they put their minds to it.
- Wisdom is the huge limiter on Mages and the challenge isn't solving problems, it's solving problem in a way that isn't stupid. The game's theme is Hubris - you know, applying your Ultimate Cosmic Power to something you're not supposed to apply it towards.
- My Mage house rules could fit on a palm card and don't significantly change the nature of the game.

So you're going to help decorating sacrificial altars?

I dunno. I guess Ultimate Cosmic Power doesn't really appeal to me.
But Vulcan is still my favorite.

Re: Thanqol Learns 2 Draw: Every Step Is The First
I think the distinction needs to be made, here.
Potentially, it's fine that Ultimate Cosmic Power doesn't interest you. Because that's not what the game is about.
The game is about having Ultimate Cosmic Power. It's about the consequences, about those lines you will and won't cross. It's about the disfunctional politics of the guys who supposedly aren't opposed to you and those who very much are. It's about the sorry state of the world and knowing why it's really like that and having the potential to legitimately and significantly change that. If the people who like it this way don't, you know, get you first.
Also about the pseudo-sentient tear in reality getting all up in your world with it's horrible, crazy manifestations and then fixing them in equally weird ways. (We recently closed an Abyssal manifestation by staging a heartwarming Thanksgiving Special in a rundown crack-house and it made perfect sense).

Some-where...
...some-where I found a dragon, sleeping 'neath a tree. The ground was dappled with leafy shade, and pears hung from its canopy.
And I said to myself...
"If I found a slender dragon, on the roots a'napping, I'd give him a basket of lolly pops, each one still in its wrapping."

Well that's way better than the abomination I was going to draw tonight.

Day 526: Drinking Debauchery
Jayden is very close to manoeuvring every single NPC in her game into a giant bloodbath, where all her problems solve each other. She's still working on the part where she's alive at the end of it.
Have a thing. Sorry for the blur, only did it in H.

I've wanted to play an archon, including lantern types, but haven't been able to yet.

Good point, thanks. I won't mention how after-thought-y the glyphs were.

Then I was like :smalleek:

Though it pains me to see any airship go up in flames, it's a good sketch nonetheless.

Kyeudo, I've tried a few times and I can't figure out how to do the pose you want for the Faceless Prince in any way which doesn't look stupid. You're going to have to provide me with a reference photograph.

Good face. Almost perfect glasses. The shirt...looks like a stiff suit. I'm not sure how to draw, "puffy fabric," but I recommend that. Also some ruffles down near the wrists would be appropriate. The wrist of the fabric tends to be more narrow than the shoulder while the elbow is the widest.
The hands... Well, we all could use more practice with hands. Including me. It's a relatively nice sketch. I'm sure I don't have to point out all of the proportion inconsistencies.
...sorry to be so picky this time...

The hands were originally enormous gorilla mitts that I hacked partially down to size. Thanks for the feedback, really, pickiness helps put things in perspective and if I stare at a thing for an hour I lose track of the big picture.

Something about the pose looks wrong to me. I could see it as a transitional pose (one between standing and sitting), but she looks like she's staying in that pose at least long enough to manipulate whatever symbol it is she's manipulating, and it looks uncomfortable.
I have to agree about the bellbottoms, though. Victorians did not wear bellbottoms, friend.

The victorians may not have, but plenty of people in the 60's/70's did and likely some did so with smart shirts and waistcoats.
Certainly more than women wearing trousers (tailored or otherwise) in Victorian Times.

Oh, sure, Victorian women wearing trousers I knew about; I wasn't trying to say she shouldn't wear pants at all. I had no idea that people in the 60s/70s wore bellbottoms with that kind of shirt, though.

That's an hilarious expression! The facial hair could be more...prolific...
And I wonder if the bumps/points of hair could be less sharp / pronounced. Of course, I've never seen Phoenix Wright. The, um...epaulettes should be balanced. The one on the left is a bit...squeenched.
At any rate, this one's not too bad.

I couldn't locate anything similar to what I was thinking, so you are probably right that the pose looks stupid. How about something like this instead?
