Should I elaborate on how long it will take for him to grow one plant? How much of the plant's growth can he direct, and how precise is it? What about already grown plants?
The more we know about Hajime's powers, the better. Things like, as you say, rate of growth, how far beyond the plant's natural limits he can make plants grow, precision of control, etc.

I'm also wondering about the practicality and forthought on the Seed Implants he has. I mean, if he catches that syndrome that causes his powers to go ballistic, he's either becoming a vegetable (pun not intended) or dead.
It'll probably be not too much of a bother. Stuff like Capacity Down and RSPK Syndrome may or may not happen, but aren't exactly common.

You are looking for Hongakuteki Nihon Ryouri where Rin, Sakurako, Meir, Kazumi and Hinata are.
Katsu and Kei are in Kadokado Café which is no where near Hongakuteki Nihon Ryouri.

Perhaps, but it's up to players who want to interact with others to try to keep up with what's going on among the other players' characters. Also, Sakurako, Kasumi, Hinata, and Rin's interactions were only 1 page before your post.

But I'm lazy.
And my sister's killing my brain with horrible singing of Hannah Montana.
I have an excuse.

In all seriousness, however, I would still encourage you to try to do a little research on character groups before you join them.

I'm upset that Hongakuteki Nihon Ryouri doesn't have grilled cheese. How can you serve american food without grilled cheese and tomato soup!?
-
Re: [Rail] Academy City OOC I : Biribiri.
Basically, to all foreigners, American food= burgers, fries, that sort of thing. Cheeseburger sound like a compromise?

"grilled cheese. It's a cheeseburger without the burger... and grilled." I'm also surprised they have spaghetti and pizza, which is Italian. Why si it that all fattening foods are considered American?:smalltongue:

I take full responsibility, as I was the one who came up with the menu. :smallsigh:
My shame will mark me forever.
(By the way, grilled cheese is available to order at Hongaku. >.>)

Me too, but while we're watching odd dances like that.... Caramell Dansen in the Hongakuteki Nihon Ryouri?
Edit: Uhm... Reading the subtitles... How do they get away with that!?

Sanin would do that, after a sufficient amount of alcohol.

Re: [Rail] Academy City OOC I : Biribiri.
Hm well, I can't really decide which power should I get. The manga reading power and the goldfish power are kinda related to his thing as a detective because they're uh... somewhat... deduce-y...
On the other hand, the dust power is completely unrelated, yet it also fit if my concept is 'his thing for detective is completely unrelated with his power at all' and it, relatively, is somewhat the coolest power (though too 'cool' power might destroy his initial concept )
And kaveak was kinda iffy on the manga reading power. do you think it's (after I got rid of the postcognition thing) still within the capability/rule of this setting?
-
Re: [Rail] Academy City OOC I : Biribiri.
I'm playing with the idea of umbrakinesis (shadow manipulation). I'm having trouble with how it should work. Either it consists of repelling photons (light particles) or destroying them. I'm leaning towards destroying photons.

Flavorwise, I'd say that the dust collecting ability fits the setting the best. I'm...not entirely certain if the manga predicting power is really appropriate. :smallfrown:

Destroying protons? I think you mean photons. And how is that gonna work? Won't that kind of destroy the energy in it, breaking the rule of conservation of energy?
Then again, most powers here fail that law anyway.
How about instead of using shadows, he controls a thin layer of molecules that look like shadows?

1) You mean photons, not protons.
2) Destroying photons would completely mess with physics in a very, very bad way from what I understand. You don't want to do that.
Repelling protons is a much more feasible mechanic. Even better would be a mechanic which allows you to place "objects" to obstruct light. Said "objects" would not actually exist, but the power could work as if they did- essentially, you'd be able to create barriers which blocked light but were otherwise non-interactive, and then you'd be able to manipulate those barriers to be wider, smaller, more or less translucent. That kind of thing.
It would allow for a varied and useful power which nonetheless has limits, and is very easily defined.

Re: [Rail] Academy City OOC I : Biribiri.
How about shadow travel? Think it could work?
Perhaps the destruction of photons create necessary energy for it to work (among other applications as well).
Yes I know that Vael said it would be bad, but I like to keep all options open (to somehow connect it to science and not magic).
Could you explain why it would be bad?

Photons hold the world together. You start destroying them and bad stuff will happen. Note the above opinion may not necessarily be accurate, or well thought out. But I bet bad things will happen.

Re: [Rail] Academy City OOC I : Biribiri.
I'm not entirely certain if destroying a photon would necessarily be a cataclysmic disaster. A quick google search indicates that it's certainly possible, though I've been unable to find out exactly what happens when a photon is destroyed. Until someone does find out, I don't think we should necessarily shut down the possibility of the idea.
Edit: this scientific article seems to indicate that photon destruction happens all the time, such as when they enter your eye and stimulate your optic nerves.
Edit 2: Further research (and by "research" I really mean "reading a scientific article or two") seems to indicate that photons that are "destroyed" are often simply just converted into a different form of energy. What happens to the photon particle itself appears to be some kind of scientific mystery :smallconfused:
My conclusions is that "photon destruction" should be allowed, but for the sake of convenience and not confusing everyone with SCIENCE!, I might suggest making the power something along the lines of, "The ability to convert photons within the AIM Field into a different form of energy, which can be then controlled". I would also suggest that you stick to only one form of energy, like thermal or kinetic, or maybe even a fictional one that acts to your own choosing (though the last option would probably be reserved for a Level Five).
