Well, strange rainblowers are worth around a ref, and the combined value of those strange parts puts it at around 1.88, sold seperately. All told, I think you'd be doing well if you were to sell it at around 1.66.
It still burns that I bought my strange rainblower for a whole key back in pyromania. Then, botkiller flamethrowers: a new way to be a hipster!

I'd certainly be willing to pay 1.88 for it.

Yes, but it's one of the rarest Stranges in existence (from the #30 Salvaged Crate).

You mean posthumous. Nothing in TF2 is posthumorous.

I don't know; I for one think it's pretty funny when the guy who killed me dies from my afterburn :smalltongue:.

Posthumorous would be after humour though. That is the point never reached by TF2. There is always more humour.

What's bad about the Vita-Saw?
Also, does anyone hav one?

It lowers your health and doesn't preserve a lot of Über, so you often end up without much of a benefit. Also, the other Bonesaw alternatives give you other kinds of utility (bonus Über on hit, can see enemy HP, AoE heal on taunt).
I do have a spare, though.

Also you're not supposed to be dying anyway, so in the best-case scenario you'd be lowering your health for no benefit.

What's bad its "benefit" is heavily countered by the fact you are much easier to kill. Instead or perfect krit-hits and headshots, you can now be killed by a range of weapons that would leave you alive (like 2 shots from Ambassador), potentially failing to hit RMB.
Seeing all other Medic saws are straight upgrades, well... http://i.imgur.com/N2nfK.jpg

As a TF2 competitive player, you actually see more Vita Saw than Ubersaw in 9 V 9 (Ubersaw is Omnipresent in 6's though.) due to the amount of fire power that regularly gets tossed out the SMALL hit to HP isn't going to put you that far behind as long as you play defensively, and the 10% uber lead on the enemy can be a huge bump up if you get popped when you have uber, turning an unwinnable situation into something that has a potential for recovery.

Well, in a competitive situation, yeah... the salvation of the 10% Über can be good. In random pugging, though, I don't know if it's worth the effort.

Re: Hat Fortress 2: Snappy Title Pending
I need some trading advice.
I've been holding on to my Salvaged crate #40, thinking the price might recover when it gets discontinued. I happen to think the festive huntsman looks silly.
But now I have 2, and there is no sign from valve ever discontinuing the #40 series. Should I just sell them now before the price hits 1 scrap each?

I sold mine for like 6 keys. Its probably best, unless you want to open them.

For better or worse, I am holding onto mine. I'm hoping that in a few months it will be back up in value.

In competitive, with a few sources of damage at the same time, you can afford to play defensively. In pub? Where one team can have more players than whole competitive game? Good luck.
Also, 10-20% of uber simply isn't that much. Switch to someone damaged you haven't healed for a while and you can build that much in seconds (though obviously, much less viable in competitive, another reason why they bother with VS at all).
Sadly, you really need to go digging how the healing beam works because the game never explains it in detail and seemingly illogical (to pub medics) behaviours can easily double your uber/healing rate.

Well again, you also have to consider the reduced firing speed they added to the Ubersaw, because of that, any competent spy is going to backstab you with a trickstab before you are capable of reacting due to that.
However, it is ultimately the superior option in pubs, and the Vitasaw is only used by teams that find themselves INCREDIBLY evenly matched (And this season seems to be the season of stomps looking at ESEA I, and UGC Platnium.) due to both teams dying frequently, which only happens as much as it does in 9's because of the presence of spies, wrangled sentries, and flaregun across the map crits that lose damage fall off because of the crit. (Flareguns auto crit anyone who's on fire. >_>)

I had to open 26 crates for this. And none of the others had a salvaged crate inside...
