If Tarquin ever has to choose between "Tarquin betrays Malack" or "Nale dies," then he will betray Malack. Likely coming up with some garbage to explain why it's not betraying Malack "from a certain point of view."
Xykon has it all over Tarquin.

Xykon has it all over Tarquin.
In hindsight, the minority won the poll for #847.
Xykon is winning? We can't have that can we.
I'm betting Malack and Tarquin.
And now Xykon is NOT winning? That doesn't sound right to me... Xykon
And Malack (I really, really hope)
Tarquin is a family man and will choose Nale
Xykon wins.
All true it depends entirely on how you define better, for example:
More fun for him = Better for him = The world a better place for him.
Now I am not entirely sure he wouldn't just find it boring, and wouldn't just allow it to slip through his fingers deliberately after a while so he could have the fun of conquering it again, but the goal (from a certain point of view) is to make the world a better place.
In answer to your original question, how anyone could think you were being sarcastic, it's because you did not qualify the fact that you were using a non traditional definition of "making the world a better place in you "narrowist/broadest" dichotomy of grammatical usage.
TARQUIN!
And he'll pick Malack.
Tarquin would choose Malack, of course. You don't give up on a friend for 35 years over an upstart disapointment of a son.
And, even though I personally think Tarquin is epic level, Xykon would roll over him without blinking. (Okay, he doesn't have eyelids, but still...)
Xykon would just blast the pieces and/or his opponent if it looked like he might lose.
Xykon would run something Meta and play by the TCG rules. Tarquin would play like an anime character:
"With my Catapult Turtle, I can launch my Dragon Champion toward your castle, shattering its flotation ring, thereby causing it to collapse on top of your monsters."
Of course, Tarquin would win. :smallwink:
Tarquin chooses Malak.
The title's saying that there's not much chance of "reasonable adults talking out their differences" catching on.
Tarquin has got to pick Malack, too powerful, too much history together, too little respect for Nale, although its nothing personal.
But :xykon: stomps Tarquin.
#854 - Not Much Chance of That
If it comes to it, which side will Tarquin ultimately choose?
Malack: 30 - 88.23%
Nale: 4 - 11.76%
Huh. I would have said Nale, but I suppose I'm in the resounding minority. And in very good news for Tarquin's significant hatedom...
Round 2, Match 2
http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g6...rs/Tarquin.png: 17 - 48.57%
:xykon:: 18 - 51.43%
So close.
#855 - And They Got Extra Credit For It, Too
Not much happening in this comic, so big story-wide question. Who will be the ultimate big bad of the comic? Xykon, Redcloak, The Snarl, Tarquin, Nale, someone else? (Note: No clarification on what the question means is forthcoming. This question is purely subjective; interpret it however you want. You could choose one of the thieves that stole Durkon's resurrection diamonds if you feel that the Big Bad is whoever stole the most money.)
Round 2, Match 3
"Without your cowardly actions, I could not have been where I needed to be, difficult though it was. However, should I learn of you treating any other person in this manner, I will gut you with my hands."

"You're carrying our sacrificial dagger and you somehow coaxed her into a dress with clear access to her sternum. Of course you were planning on killing her. What steams my cheese is that you knew I wanted to kill the girl myself, and went behind my back!"
Well, the big bad is going to be either Redcloak or Xykon, but at this point, I think it's almost a toss-up as to which it will ultimately be. I guess I'll have to vote for Xykon.
O-Chul. I'm not a big-time O-Chul fan, but there's just nothing interesting about Sabine.
The ultimate big bad? I will vote for the IFCC. I don't like Xykon very much and these guys are cool and plan some serious evil.
And O-Chul. Sabine is a really simple character so far.
The ultimate big bad?
Xykon? Has been in the story since the start, wants to rule the world only for selfish reasons. He has no likeable traits.
Redcloak? Has been in the story since the start, but is planning to turn on Xykon and is motivated by the greater good for goblinkind.
The Snarl? A being of pure chaos. It doesn't know to do anything else but bring chaos. It's more like a force of nature than a villain.
Tarquin? He is an awesome and likeable villain, but he entered the story rather late.
Nale? Has been with the story since the start, but he is the least powerful villain of these five.
So my vote is: Xykon.

:sabine: <-- :yuk:
Xykon.
O-Chul.
Xykon, because it'd be lame if he missed the gate, and if he does come, he will probably overshadow everyone. Even Tarquin and the IFCC.
O-chul.
My votes are for :xykon: and O-Chul.
Is it wrong to want to gloat?
Anyone but Xykon would ultimately feel like a bait and switch. Xykon is far from played out in terms of hisQuote:

I mean come on, that's not even a contest.
