I just thought before carry a bunch of deadtime chars around we would leave them where they left.
I'm fine with them coming, would just wait to find a hiding place before that

I don't think so, Serph.
I too can drop a character there, but not right now. I'll be home in about an hour and a half.
You guys must have a lot of characters. I would appreciate it if some people did drop by. My other character Red is up to mischief though.
They just pop up. Eadin was my only character for quite a while.
Technical people also tend to *plotclone* their chars. That means a char appears in several places the same time in real life. People do it when a char is caught in a plot so they still can interact with others while in the plot. And some, just as I do make clones to have RP. Mean when your char is caught in anther's deadtime you could still go play him as long as it doesn't effect the former talk.
That said I could throw in someone as well.
Ok I get it. Plot cloning sounds useful for killing boredom. Does anyone have an open slot for a plot? Or a serious plot?
Actually plot's aren't the normal things here they are uncommon as far as I see it. Most of the time you have to create you own 'plot'. Character advancement or just getting know in the nexus etc.
Just my 2 cent
I dropped Catherine in the den if you want to talk to someone
oh talk.... I took the wrong action I guess. Maybe you can spot shapeshifters?
Do stuff is fine too , I meant interact :p
Zefir speaks truth. The thing about ffrp is that you have to figure out things for your character to do when there isn't a GM running the show. Sometimes people decide to run a plot, but there are far more players wanting to play in plots than people able and willing to GM a plot.
However, plots do happen. Earl of Purple often has little mini-encounters or larger dungeons. Rebo does Random EncountersTM that are basically one off fight scenes - usually in Trog's, and usually over in a single day, as well as larger plots. Morty and SC run plots, and I'm probably forgetting a lot of people. Occasionally someone does a big event, but those are VERY hard to manage once too many players get involved.
But the best thing is to put your character out there and interact with other characters - make friends and enemies. Build a history for your character. That's what makes a GM-less setting different from a typical play-by-post game. After all, you can roleplay fights and dungeon crawls and other GM-led party-based adventures in any number of games in the pbp forum. If you come to the ffrp ghetto, you get something different.
I'd make a plot but I'm drawing a blank right now. Inkscape is also becoming a trial. Who knew creating cool looking avatars like zefir's, Harnel's and Eadin's would be so difficult.
I guess I'll plot clone Grantz (He is serph in the character sheet) into trog's tavern for now. Thanks for all the info.
I didn't make my avatar myself
You can request an avatar in Arts and Crafts or just PM someone. Most avatar makers have something about it in their signature. (For example, Kid Kris makes avatars if you PM him and ask nicely :smallwink:)
And not every interaction has to be some big plot. Sometimes it just happens, other times you meet someone new and have a nice chat
Maybe I'll will ask Kid Kris but I'll try to finish a proper one for Grantz first. I'll remember to ask nicely.
Hey is there any space left in the plot going to hades? Serph can go if hades is hot, and Red if its cold.
Hey, even I can't create an avatar like Harnel's on Inkscape, and I'm the one who made the damn thing! :smalltongue:
(Also Zefir's avatar is a Tsofu-atar. That you can't replicate it only proves that you are human. ._.)
((And I do take avatar requests, but only for those blessed with amazing patience.))
's fine by me, we'll see what C'nor says.
I'm using greek mythology version, since that's Eadin's origin too.
Got Tartarus, the actual Hell and the Elysian fields. We'll be going to that last bit. If anything, I wouldn't bring demons there since Hades (the god) will not let them into the fields or throw them into Tartarus.
Edit: Mine's made by Akrim elf
No demons huh? Tough luck for me then because Red is a Full Demon and Grantz is turning into a Half-demon and he summons demons. Well maybe something can be worked out if C'nor says yes.
Is this where we generally dump character bios?
Lord Vader: There's a link to the character directory in the OP.
Zefir: Wait in line. :smalltongue:
I still got Mauve Shirt waiting for what I think must be a month, I guess, and Lady of War waiting for... three?
...
Yeah, I think I better get on that. >.>
Someone is laying claim to a version of the Greek Underworld then? Phooey, I had done some things with it in preparation for a Teru/Magtok plot, but since that was all in my plot thread I don't expect anyone to remember that.
I guess we'll just call it alt-verse versions of the same place, from different time periods or what have you. If that plot ever gets going, I don't want to seem like I'm stepping on anyone's toes by running my own version of Tartarus when I only vaguely established it in a character's backstory.
Although if you need someone to play a ferryman in this plot, I've used Charon several times now, and I'm sure he wouldn't mind jumping between two versions of the Styx to sheperd some folks across the river.
Half demons are fine I suppose. Could be under Eadin's protection or something.
Slii: feel free to make another version. It's just the underworld from Eadin's world, so I'm sure there are others. I'm not claiming anything ^^
And you're welcome to play Charon if you want to!
And you wouldn't step on my toes by running your own version, no worried :p This isn't even a well thought out big plot.
So am I in?
Dude, multiple versions of the same Hell (or Hel, or Hades) are totally fine. Well, except for pseudo-Dante, DnD-esque fantasy Milton steampunk Hells ruled by the Iron Queen Persephone. Happy and I totally claim dibs on that one.
Fine by me, if he has a good reason to go there. Still waiting for C'nor's permission though.
Which is also to say that you can cooperate with another player(s) to create a version of Hell. Or Heaven, for that matter, but no one ever seems to go there. :smallconfused:
(Also, in our version, Persephone ate the pomegranate seeds knowingly, though she pretended otherwise. Then after spending a few centuries accumulating her power base as Queen of Hell, she had Hades assassinated so she could rule alone. :smallamused:
Oh, and we've also got some DnD thrown in with the blood war between devils from Hell and demons from the Abyss - which Earl runs.)
*shrugs*
Hey, it's your plot. It's not like I knew Eadin the Character was going to pick up on a pair of throwaway lines meant as a joke, or that if she did, she'd go for something involving ghosts and breaking a naiad's heart, rather than what I'd come up with for the solutions; I was thinking that if someone assumed the throne under a false name, then 'Queen [Name]' would never have been born, though they'd still have existed, and that the second said nothing about some of the water from the spring having never been frozen, just the entire spring, so one could simply take some of the water from a hot spring and freeze it normally.
