"Mate, I mean no offense, but you might want to start by getting some speech lessons. Afraid you're using a few more pauses than most find comfortable." Or, in more meta-aware terms, that many ellipses make Enshadnu sound more speech-impaired than dramatic.:smalltongue:
"But even more'n that, you sound like you could use 'n ally or two. Don't sound like you've got too many as it stands."
-
Re: [Nexus] Elexxion Industries Transhuman Clinic
(That's purposeful, he usually has a horrible accent, and is trying to break it.)
I am having speech lessons actually, "Mate." Don't ask. Enshadu frowns. Yes...I...drove most away. Friends are good, I wish I realized that before.

((Well played. Well played. *slowclap*))
"Hm. Pardon my asking then." Scratching at the fur of his back with a spade-like paw, Badger takes a pause to ruminate upon his options. This fellow had the money and ambition, fair enough, but those vague allusions to past failure... Tsk tsk.
But then, money is money and a checkered past merely ensures a bounty of sharks to throw him too, if needs be. "I think I may have an idea then, to our mutual benefit."
-
Re: [Nexus] Elexxion Industries Transhuman Clinic
Enshadu frowns. An idea? What idea?

"It strikes me as so; You are an intrepid businessman ascendant, while I am another such. By your own confession you need friends but have no lack of resources, while I possess the marvelous talent to spin straw into gold, yet with no straw to work with." Badger pauses once more, this time merely for dramatic effect. "In short, I propose a partnership."

Re: [Nexus] Elexxion Industries Transhuman Clinic

Enshadu nods, thinking over Badger's offer. Aye...ye'd spin me back to power....If we work together...my master brains and your golden tongue....We'd be nigh unstoppable after a while of success...Yes! You're just what I need....for my inevitable return...I promised them all...I would...yes...My revenge will be.....what's the word? Ah...yes....sweet. I will fool them all...and then take all they took from me....You, you will help me Badger. My fortune, and technology could be of great assistance. A proposal of what, to what goal?

"Th'n it's settled. We c'n discuss all the little details later, over a glass at the local pub." Can't very well go discussing the specificousities of their villainous plans here, can they? "But it wouldn' be fair, if'n I was to ask you to take this deal on faith. So 'nstead, how about a demonstration? If'n you would be so kind 's t' loan me a small sum, mayhaps, say, four hundred gold, I shall by the time we meet again demonstrate the means by which I c'n parlay money into more money."

"They're tailored to do just about anything, sir. Please, tell me what you're looking for," Gertrude says, dismissing the 'Wall' and showing Sedrat around a bit more. True to her word, anything Sedrat asks will likely be displayed in moments, if not instantly. The Revenants are diverse and great in number, as it appears the Clinic has already harvested biomass to fuel their robotic foundries.
Lobby
The two 'men' are left alone, for the time being.
Clinic-Wide
Meanwhile, those in and around the clinic may begin to notice an increase in activity. The Assault Beasts are being outfitted, the Escorts are being prepped and armed, and several emissaries are being readied for contact with other Nexus organizations.
At this point the Clinic is changing faster than ever, with the nano-machine walls altering the visual environment at a record pace. A room or hallway that was bland before may now be exploding with color, filthy with holo-ads or filled by the growing ranks of Elexxion's Revenants. Failed clones, old bodies from their customers, even some non-human corpses have all been utilized as fuel for Elexxion's machine. The mechanical 'undead' have begun to swell Security's ranks, and their cold stares can be found in almost every room around the Clinic.
Alia, meanwhile, is likely paged to report for her security augmentations at the nearest convenience. Can't have her wandering around unsupervised.

After a few minutes of examining the options, Sedrat will notice the increase in activity, assuming it isn't hidden from him. "What's going on?"

[Halls]
Vesa notices the changes and patrols the halls somewhat more vigorously; after all, what if someone decides to get unruly while this little upheaval goes on?
They would have to be physically assaulted to the point of submission, of course.

"Oh, I dunno honey. Expansion, maybe? I'd heard somethin' about Elexxion buyin up property around here. Maybe the Clinic's not gonna be by it's lonesome anymore," Gertrude says, looking around at the Revenants who are quickly moving off to parts unknown.

There's such a broad increase in security, Vesa may find herself with little to do. Outside, a procession of hovering vehicles make their way past or into the Clinic, presumably carrying the rest of the Elexxion 'invasion force'. Perhaps the Board has deemed the Nexus liable for other industries?
With a shrieking roar, all three Assault beasts take off into the sky, displaying the awesome power of bioengineering while simultaneously surveying the city. There'll likely be a lot more surveillance coming in soon, and perhaps a greater need for Vesa's services.

Alia quickly squeezes Vesa's hand if they were together at that point, and then, without further ado, heads off at a lope to wherever it is she's supposed to be going to be augmented, making full use of her enhanced strength to run faster than she should be able to, and slingshot herself around corners without slowing.

Enshadu grins, his mask making his smile seem even more unnatural and unnerving. Enshadu adjusts hi long red robes and puts out a bandaged and crimson-gloved hand. There's an ""L" on the palm of his gloves. Enshadu speaks out again, his eyes showing through the slits in the white mask. Yes, fine. You have a....deal? Yes...a deal. We shall meet at Trog's...this evening. I'll be in the corner. Gold? Four hundred? Of course. One second. Enshadu waves his hands and a small box materializes, it's beautifully made with jade and gold, an inscription of a crimson snake on fire sculpted on the top. Enshadu opens the box and takes a small pouch out. He'll reach out and hand it to Badger. There....do not betray my....hospitality.

"Oh, there isn't anything dangerous dear. But we certainly won't try to get rid of you," Gertrude says, smiling in an almost matronly way. She has the strangest expressions - as though she's much older than she appears to be. Probably not much of a surprise around here. "It's rare we get such a discerning customer."

After a bit, she too is called away on other duty. She's called to the core, in fact - though the order is still for surveillance.
"Vesa, good," comes Iaito's voice over the comms when she arrives. She's allowed entry, and upon making her way down the dim hallway, will find herself once again in the circular workspace of the Auditors. It's a small place, lit only by the lights of holograms and older monitors, cooled constantly by industrial grade air conditioners. Only the best will do, with the heat their servers give off. "We need you on the new camera grid."

She'll make it down in record time, likely hopping out of one of the underground trams and hitting the whitewashed environment of the labs only moments later. Everything is curved, organic-looking, with pure white walls and furniture. A man... no, something other than a man turns to greet her, having been closely examining some holo-footage from his facial interface. A pair of blood red camera-lense eyes are set into his steel skull. Plates fold over his mouthless, noseless face, forming some type of alien expression.
Though he's not a man, he still stands like one - wears a doctor's coat and slacks like one. Holds a chart in his clawed hand like one.
"Good, good. Zat vas much quicker zan I expected. Ze men in Hardware would be very jealous of you, young lady. Zese augments, where did you get zem?" He asks with a heavily exaggerated accent.

"Tempest designed the exoskeleton in the first place, but I've made some improvements and repairs as well," Alia replies, apparently pleased, judging by her tone of voice. "Of course, it helps that I've been training with them for a few years, too. Someone who it isn't specifically designed for, and hasn't been getting used to them for that long, probably wouldn't get results as good as I do."

"Excuse me, gentlemen, are you ready to go?" Gary asks suddenly, smiling at them in a slightly strained manner. "You're holding up the line."

Gertrude will happily lead Sedrat out've the building. Wish him well and all that as he goes.

"You are versed in augmentation zen, yes?" The doctor asks, his 'eyes' twitching up and down over Alia. "May I take a look at yours?"

As mentioned Andy can hover as well. Green LANTERN stuff. It will be hard to get a close look. Andy will after he notice someone is there act as fast as possible ad catch the intruder. He won't hurt her. He just wants to make sure to catch her from behind, blicking her eyes with one hand and graping her hand with hsi mechanical arm.

The doctor sounds pleasant. "Zat vould be a good place to start, ya." He makes a sweeping motion at the table beside him, as if to say 'place them here'.
[Lobby]
"Yes you did, sir. Up the escalator to your left, first office on the left," says Gary to Badger, smiling neutrally. His attention is turned on Enshadu. "I believe we were on the subject of nanobots, Mr. Enshadu? I'm afraid our previous price estimate won't be entirely accurate. Nanobots are... exorbitantly expensive."
[Andy's Labs]
Emma is seized, and she shrieks when her eyes are covered. Her head yanks away from his hand, and while she's probably not strong enough to break the grip on her wrist, she certainly tries.
Up until she sees who it is. Luckily her back is turned toward Andy's secret research. "Mr. Emeral! I'm sorry, I was just... looking..." Her voice wilts as she talks. Gods dammit, she was never good at lying.

Re: [Nexus] Elexxion Industries Transhuman Clinic
[Andy's Labs]
Andy continues with his grap slowly dragging her outside the lab space.
"Just looking? Haven't I said it's to dangerouse? You could have blown up the whole lab just by your breath. And if Maxwell told you to 'observe' me this hard, tell him he can come here and talk to ME."

Alia nods, and quickly begins to strip off her suit, which is all one piece, save for the helmet, shortly ending up naked in the middle of the lab, with the suit on the table; fortunately, she doesn't seem very self-conscious, which is partly the result of having expected to end up that way eventually, if she was going to be worked on, and partly because she had to get used to changing in full view of three other people.

Enshadu nods. Of course! How much...I was expecting it to be higher, I can afford it. After all, I have a great deal of revenue coming my way. I don't think Enshadu quite understands what he's saying half the time. I wouldn't either if I'd been blown up and tossed off a very high place...twice...by the same person...:smallfurious: Enshadu never was the same...
