Wait, quick question -- when did Malack appear in bonus material? He's got a +1 to his name... I assume it's not a clerical error. (Hahaha.)

934:
Bandanna, Belkar Bitterleaf, Blackwing, Bloodfeast the Extreminator (as lizard), Durkon Thundershield (as vampire), Elan (+1), Haley Starshine (+1), Julio Scoundrél's Crewman with eyepatch, Laurin Shattersmith (+1), Mr. Scruffy, Roy Greenhilt, Tarquin (+1), Vaarsuvius
Also Julio Scoundrel's Yellow-Clad Crewman, who I think is making his first appearance, but we should keep an eye on if he shows up again.
Based on her comment about her father and SSaDT, Bandana's full name is probably Bandana Secundus.

Bandana, Blackwing (+1), Elan, Haley Starshine, Julio Scoundrél, Laurin Shattersmith (+1), Mechane Crewman with black skin (+1), Mechane Crewman with five o'clock shadow (+1), Mechane Crewwoman with bandana, Sabine, Tarquin, Vaarsuvius (+1)
Julio can be seen hanging on to the rope in Panel 8.Dreadlock Dude and the guy with the stubble appear on both pages.
Girl in the fifth panel, could she be the same one from 391?
I'd say yeah.
Occam's Razor, right? No need to assume that Julio has two different crewwomen who both look and dress uncannily alike. Probably just got a different haircut in the time since. If she's anything like her boss, cosmetic changes are a fact of life. :smalltongue:
936: Tarquin (+2), Elan (+1), Haley Starshine, Mechane crewwoman with bandana, Mechane crewwoman with swoopy hair (also appears in 935), Julio Scoundrel (+1)
Edit: I suggest renaming "Mechane crewwoman with bandana" to "Mechane crewwoman with polka-dot bandana", to avoid confusion with the Mechane crewwoman known merely as "Bandana".
Edit edit: Alternately, rename "Bandana" to "Bandana Secundus", as Gift Jeraff points out.

13: Elan
10: Durkon
8: Vaarsuvius
7: Mr. Scruffy
6: Blackwing
5: Redcloak, Xykon
4: Miko
3: Bloodfeast, Lee, Nero & Cedric, Demon roaches, Hinjo, Tarquin
2: Ancient black dragon, Argent, Jirix, Laurin, Lirian's treants, Miron, Monster in the Darkness, Qarr, Right-eye, Tarquin's triceratops, Thog, Trigak, Tsukiko, Windstriker, Xykon's ogres
Also the dwarves who toss Durkon out in Origin, who also appear here.
1: Celia, Daigo, Empress of Blood, the enlarged soldiers, Flumphs, Gannji, Hurak, Ian, Julia, Kazumi, Kilkil, Kyle*, Lien, O-Chul, Phil Rodriguez, Rex-Nor the Usurper*, Sabine, Shadowdancer, Sir Francois, Teevo, the Twelve Gods, the heavily templated snail, and that thing from Origin that goes "Splurk"
* Kyle and Rex-Nor are new characters.
I'm not sure if we're counting calendar as appearances.
My inclination would be to not count the main calendar art, since it's just redrawn versions of scenes already counted in the main comic. I'm undecided about whether we should count the extra art, though.
Just found an appearance of O-Chul in strip #290, before the one that is linked in the first post. Did you guys miss it?
I think the ruling on that one was something to the effect of "No facial scar = Not O-Chul".
The paladin without ranks in Search lacks O-Chul's scar. It's possible that it's just before he got it (we'll be finding out the circumstances of that in an upcoming Kickstarter story), but for now, we're assuming it's some other paladin who just looks similar. Likewise for the character "Fellow medium-sized human".
EDIT: On thinking about the calendar some more, I think the closest analogy to it would be the Christmas ornaments, which we do not count. So let's not count anything on the calendar, either.
937: Bandana, Belkar Bitterleaf, Blackwing, Elan, Haley Starshine, Julio Scoundrel, Mechane crewwoman with polka-dotted kerchief (or whatever it is we're calling her), Roy Greenhilt, Vaarsuvius

Funny, according to the list, "fellow medium-sized paladin"'s first appearance is #298. A mistake I guess?
