I guess at least my internship ended and I'm on holiday? So yay, waking up at 14:00 shouldn't affect me? Oh no. Nope. I'm too old for this. My stomach is so angry at me for not keeping a solid schedule.
It truly is midsummer. We've had a drought pretty much since the spring flood resceded, but today it's been pouring down. No Swedish midsummer celebration is complete without some proper lamenting of where the nice summer has gone. http://i.imgur.com/ZRHtTJs.png
That said, I like the midnight light. It's nice to still have a lot of light left when I work long days and get home well into the evening. http://i.imgur.com/jLvmsd9.png

If you're planning on pointing out all the incsonsistencies of the English language, you're going to be at it for a very long time...

I wasn't planning that. I just felt like pointing out that incsonsistency.

So let me make sure I understand this. You think this:
Should be changed to this:
And that will be....better?

Not "That." "Hat." Like, the thing you wear on your head?

Oh, I get it now.
Pulling that pattern based on a single example doesn't really follow, though. It would arguably make more logical sense for "Here" to be a completely different word, like "Yor" or something, based on the patter of the other two.

I guess.
The really weird one is "who" because it's spelled like the left column but pronounced like the center one.
There's also:

Because |

No lamenting in Brandenburg. No spring flood, three months of unrelenting drought and 33°C, the regional government even had to unpack the ban-hammer to shut down public and private fountains and watering gardens and public parks. With midsummer, things cooled down a bit and the little amount of rain is pretty welcome. On the pro side, I've really gotten a deep and natural tan this year.

with all of my abdominal scarring, I have not even tried to get a tan for over 6 years.
ion, I pulled out the low smoker and am smoling a pork butt over mesquite chips and coated in sweet baby ray's BBQ sauce.

Yeah, I'm also happy about all the rain we can get. I'm just mirroring the general sentiment, or at least the stereotypical sentiment.

Just gotta say that I'm super excited- received an offer for what is basically as close to my dream job as I can get with my current level of education and experience. I've literally wanted to work at this place since I was 15, and now I start in a couple of weeks.
Came right at the right time, too, my old job was slowly driving me insane and my lease on this apartment was running out, so it was time to make a change.

Cool! And congratulations! I'll understand if you don't want to reveal any personal information, but what type of business is it? http://i.imgur.com/jLvmsd9.png
And I'm probably due for such a change in my life myself. I like my job, it's just that I don't like my life, and I have next to no opportunity to improve it with my current work being so far away from home. There are things you can do on the train, like writing this post, for example, but having a privat life is not one of those things...

It's a position as a micro- and molecular biology tech in a pathogen research lab.
Only downside is that I have to move to another state to start in three weeks and so my life is a bit upsidedown right now.

Re: 2D8HP's extended mea culpa and Random Banter #218
I went to my very first gay pride parade with my job. First off I went to my job early to be there for the party and the parade. It was a great party. Then a few hours later everybody from my job and I walk down to the parade and it was the very frustrating that we have to wait a few hours t finally start the parade. It was about by 7:20 PM and we started to marched in the parade. I have a great time at the parade despite the long wait.

Wow, that does sound really cool! I find the whole field of medical research quite exciting, so good luck, do awsome! http://i.imgur.com/haudcUB.png

I can imagine. My life feels turned upside down for less, having to move to an entirely different part of the country is just off my board, and those time constraints don't make it any better.

That's great, I recently had to explain to a friend why I don't go to London Pride (it boils down to 'autistic, hate parades'). So anybody enjoying an LGBTQ+ parade is fine by me

Thank you. I must admit the parade was so chaotic and disorganized. But I still have a great time.

I also hate parades in general. But sounds like Bartmanhomer had a good time, which is all that matters.

Hey, that's awesome! I suspect that I'll dislike the experience, but I still want to go to Pride myself at some point

That so many awesome avatars can't be viewed is making me feel grumpy.

In short, IMGUR no longer wants to be a free image hosting service. In long, this.

Huh. Well this is interesting; on my desktop, my avatar is similarly down, but on my phone (where I don't use the mobile site) my avatar is still up, though most of everyone else's are still down. Wonder what causes that.

That would normally suggest caching, where you can see it but no one else can. But I'd hesitate to say that as, well, I can see your image on my laptop. So unless I've got some caching of your image as well, which I doubt, then I have no idea.

I actually likes parades. I've been going to most parades almost in my entire life.

Yeah, I doubted it was that since I can also see a couple other avatars on my phone that I can't see on my desktop. Weird, that.
Also, the Majora's Mask link in your sig appears to need fixin'. That's unrelated to anything, I just saw Majora's Mask and clicked.

That's awesome! I just don't like the interruption that parades cause, but I also don't worry about it for the most part. Now, if I lived in New York City or something, I'd probably feel a bit stronger about that.
