After the tumble, Visto gets back up on his feet. "Are any friends badly hurt? Visto will heal those who hurt only a little when this is over." If nobody speaks up about any bad injuries, Visto will fly up a bit and start toward the newly created exit that was the bottom of the tower. "Visto will check outside."

There against anger Byrhtnoth stood ready,100

R6T0: And with all that motion on the curve of the tower and still on the outside as these things swarm over around, and now into it, even climbing the inside walls and moving upstairs (or inward, as you will), the tower wobbles back ... and forth ... and back ... and finally lurches! The tower now begins rolling down the steep slope towards the waters of the lagoon below. Immense cracks begin radiating up along the sides of the tower as it follows a landslide of rock and rubble downward. Any characters inside the tower are carried along for a harrowing ride, but the tower’s shape serves to help slow the fall somewhat. Akatas clinging to the side of the tower scramble for purchase—some tumble away to join the rocks and dirt on the fall into the sea below, while others cling to the outside of the tower only to be crushed as it rolls over onto them.

R1T24: More frightened by what she imagines might happen when the rolling stops than she is by the rolling itself, Tysra offers a prayer to Findeladhlara and reaches for the passing crack in an attempt to escape the tower. Her fear quickens her focus in jumping out of the crack, but she mistimes it and is partially crushed by the tower and carried by the landslide. So violent is the motion, that her mithral chain shirt is torn and completely shredded, though very possibly it saved her from suffering greater injury than the 14 mod she seems to suffer right now.

Re: Second Darkness: Children of the Void [IC]
R1T21: Trying to get into an aggressive stance, but is moving far too unpredictably to be able to. Still, Ago swings at the passing creature; though the hit doesn't kill it, the distraction is enough that it is unabe to hold purchase and gets tossed to a tower wall to be smashed into blue goo. Even as the tower continues its wild ride, he tries to keep up his indomitable spirit for others to gain courage, but he can't even manage the proper breath to speak. And then, not having done anything for himself to deal with the tower's movement, he is tossed to the tower's side himself, effectively jostled/prone, but he twists enough at the end to minimize impact. He is fine, but the bulwark Visto gives him is done.

R3T6: Lev continues to grip the brace with all the strength he can muster. He begins telling a tale of the power of perseverance in his resonant baritone, hoping to encourage the others to just hang on, but he doesn't have the posture or breath to make it work for the entire area, though he draws psychological strength from it for himself. Still, the blue meanie drifting by nips him in the calf for 2.
End Initiative!
At the bottom of the slope, the tower plunges into the sea. The impact is softened by the water, and characters within the tower are automatically knocked prone unless they were bracing on the previous round. (So, Kwava, Ago, Lev are not prone.)
The impact also inflicts damage to everyone, though people's agility can mitigate that: Kwava (4), Lev (5), Ago (3), Sol (no damage).
The tower’s magical construction prevented it from completely collapsing, but enough holes exist now that the waves swiftly rush in—likewise, the PCs should have little problem clambering out of the tower and onto the beach. The water here isn’t deep enough to completely submerge the fallen tower, but it is enough to damage the blue meanies, as the salt water acts as an extremely powerful acid on those creatures. Any surviving and conscious blue meanies thrash in freakishly silent agony as the salt water eats away at them, dealing 4d6 points of damage per round. The water slays the score or so surviving blue meanies from the assault with relative ease.
While Samaritha used feather fall at the last instant to greatly increase the likelihood of her own survival, the collapsing tower and tumble killed the other cyphermages. Samaritha quickly realizes her shelter is now gone. Desperate and afraid, she looks to the PCs for direction on where to go next.
Meanwhile, Visto and Tsyra amble their way to the bottom. The latter is pretty battered from the rockslide.
Ozzy is nowhere in sight. :smalleek:
Samaritha mentions that she can use levitate to help ferry those that are really bad at climbing back up to the ridge above (most likely Ago, if nobody else). Without levitation or flight, the climb back up to the top is difficult but not impossible. Few beaches surround the base of the island's cliffs, so walking the perimeter really isn't an option - swimming, however, is (though there are rumors that the waters surrounding the Devil's Elbow is infested with sharks, reefclaws, and all manner of aquatic menaces).
What will the party do?

Re: Second Darkness: Children of the Void [IC]
Ago looks at the bodies of the Cyphermages with a deep sadness and shame on his face. As he clambers out of the ruined tower he points back up toward higher ground.
”Let’s regroup on the cliff, we will stay true to our word and get Samaritha on a ship back to Riddleport. Where is Ozzy?”
-
Re: Second Darkness: Children of the Void [IC]
Will Visto's help, Tsyra reaches the bottom of the cliff to rejoin the others. Her hair, no longer tied in the back, now hangs haphazardly across her face, caked in places by masses of dirt. Her robes are stained and torn, exposing a bare bruised shoulder and the rent remains of a once-exquisite chainmail shirt.
"That it would remain whole..." she remarks with a note of bewilderment as she eyes the partially submerged tower. "I am surprised such magics were invested in this meager settlement."
When Santiago asks about Ozzy, she turns away from the water, wincing as she cranes her neck up to the clifftop. "I have not seen him since the tower fell. It is possible that he and the others in the entryway were spared this ruinous descent."
She then looks back to the others. "The starmetal stored in the tower, was anyone able to retrieve it?"
-
Re: Second Darkness: Children of the Void [IC]
"I was," says Samaritha. "That's why I went back upstairs briefly."
Kwava points to an area adjacent to the tower. It is the complete ruins of the adjoining building to the tower. "Unless he jumped clear, Ozzy was not so lucky."
-
Re: Second Darkness: Children of the Void [IC]
Tsyra follows Kwava's gesture to the ruins of the adjoining building. For a time she is silent, her eyes shifting between the wave-lapped debris and some distant point. "The way the tower fell..." her voice is so quiet as to be barely audible, "I could not have known of its enchantment." She then clears her throat and repeats, louder this time and with an edge of defensiveness, as though answering an accusation no one has actually made, "I could not have known of its enchantment." She then turns away from the water, and as she steps towards the cliff face, begins to remove climbing equipment from her backpack.

Santiago speaks softy with the assurance of someone who has practiced these same words many times. ”Don’t be too hard on yourself, we all new the risks of coming here. For now, we have a duty to save those who can still be saved.” he glances at Samaritha as he says this.
