Thanks.
I can't wait to see your next one! They're awsome!

Well, Aldran is an epic level necromancer so I thought I'd draw him in attire more befitting that type of power. At least I tried. Also forgive me for any incosistencies in the outfit I was literally making it up as i went along.
He looks kinda like something out of a KISS video, but he's still really cool :smallcool:
Not enough belts and zips! :smallfurious:
heh cookie if people get the refrence, serisoly though thats realy cool, bravo
Either make him totally overexadurated like a final fantasy character with belts making his pants leg and straps holding on every single article of clothing together, or make him have no belts and just be a robe with a hood :smalltongue:
This comic is so fabulous that it got me to register in order to give my feedback!
I love it, it has the same type of humor as the Order of the Stick (which, of course, I love), and the same art style (again, I love it). The story is interesting, and I can guess from OOC (out-of-comic) knowledge who this "demigod" is, but that's just me reading all possible sources of information years ago :P
Now, I've got a couple of small, tiny, diminutive issues with it: the whole deal with "I'm a cloaked and hooded guy who no one will know about until near the end of the story" has been done before, and as much as I love the hook, since it's been done before it just isn't the same, y'know? The sprite comic Fortuna Saga did this, and I don't think it's the only one. That being said, being 100% original in everything you do nowadays is tough, with so many authors publishing their comics, books, movies and so on, so finding new ideas that haven't been used can be difficult, and that's understandable.
Another issue I have is the battle with a certain someone in the most recent comic: why did that certain someone "hold back" in his spell casting when he could simply use his higher order spells? Why wait for the others to attack him when he could've simply used a more powerful spell? And who memorizes a Maximized Magic Missile, anyway? :smallconfused:
But hey, that's just me being picky. Overall, as I said, I love this comic, and I can't wait for the next installment :)
Woo hoo! awesome new fanart, and awesome new comic (bless you goat!). This is getting very interesting indeed, and I hope they can bring Finx down together. Well, I also thought what is holding Aldran back from blasting Finx to smithreens, but hey, we can never know.
Keep in mind that, in the context of this battle, only a few rounds has actually passed. He blasted a few illusions and then hit Finx with a Fireball before Fix retaliated by hitting Keriss with a spell.
On that note, I wouldn't be surprised if Aldran pulled out a little Unstoppable Rage in the next strip.
First of all, thanks for the comments, and the great new fanart. I added the colored version of Lana to the main post, Lionpawheart, and your latest piece Vulion (which I must say I quite like. ).
Now, to address this. Let me start by saying that, for years, reading books, webcomics, or what have you, there's nothing that annoys me more than the big secret character who isn't revealed or plays an important role until the end. Case in point: the monster in the darkness. He's a great character, don't get me wrong, but after 550 comics, we really don't know much about him. But then, he's not a really deep character, so that's excusable. So, when writing my own comic, I wanted to be sure that I wouldn't do the same thing to them. So in short, we're going to be learning a lot more about Aldran long before the end of this comic. :smalltongue:
Anywho, new comic, and a heads up for Saturday. I'm dangerously close to capping my weekly bandwidth again, and it doesn't reset until Saturday night, so if I mysteriously disappear until Sunday, you'll know why.
Issue 71: Now He Owes Three
Nice joarb, Zarah. I liked that last line.
Dude, new "anti heroes" thing in first post
sorry if I didn't notice that earlier and everyone already got over it...
wow. Aldran really cares for Keriss. That's... well... touching.
A ticked-off Epic spellcaster...
Finx is doomed.
Here's another bit of fanart, courtesy of TheCountAlucard...
Aldran is SO awesome.<3
Aldran is *scary* when he's angry. When he's just annoyed he's amusing, but when he's angry....:smalleek:
I love ho they're just standing there, not like running and jumping off things in an epic battle of dodging and weaving that no decent spellcaster would have to do.
Nah, I just didn't realize that I put them in the same pose until I had already scanned it... STOP OPPRESSING ME! :smalleek:
That last comic was truly kickass.
I just found this comic, and read through the entire thing. Very impressed! Reading them all in one go really shows how you've already improved from beginning to end in both form and story-telling ability.
Keep up the great work!
Who said I hate Fortuna Saga? I love it. I just mentioned how the comic did the whole "shrouded character" deal, that's all.
And I could care less what they would do to me in Texas, since I don't live there :smallamused:
Zarah - Awesomeness! Learning about the mystery character way before the end = double plus good! Approved
I'm guessing we learn about hime bit by bit, first two bits were his name, and his girlfriend.
We'll shoot you for just about anything in Texas.
I never read the Fortuna Saga. I saw a guest comic he did for 8-Bit Theater, and I wasn't impressed.
Yay for Aldran saving everyone, but more so for the promise that it won't happen every time. I love this comic.
Very nice, very nice.
I just read the character descriptions. "It's true what they say about tails"
...awesome.
