Re: Girl Genius XIII: "Gott's Leedle Feesh in Trousers!"
The boots and hats probably help as well, but I agree that she may just be standing taller (and multi-chromatic) because she's free to be a general again.

Probably a deliberate choice on her part to avoid people noticing how tall she is.
You know, at this point, I'm no longer sure what's going to happen, pairing wise, simply because the OTT outcome is so heavily foreshadowed, its starting to look like a red herring to me.

Re: Girl Genius XIII: "Gott's Leedle Feesh in Trousers!"
The only obvious choice is that she marries them both.

There are also the good old Heroic sacrifice (although we've already had that one). Tarvek wasn't in the time windows, for one thing. Although the meta argument is that he wasn't intended to be a character at that early point in the story.

The odds on that aren't good, though.

'Obvious'? But this is Girl Genius!! 'Obvious' is TOO obvious, we need a stunning twist! Like say Agatha clones herself, then both of her marry both of them. And routinely switch. Or share memories.
Which brings us to XXXENOPHILE: The Girl Genius Edition...

Or the Foglios kill one of them, which would divide the fandom neatly down the middle.

Or kill both of them, and have Agatha bring them back.

Already did that. It'd need to be something new :smalltongue:

Only Tarvek and Agatha died during that. Gil is still death-free.

Re: Girl Genius XIII: "Gott's Leedle Feesh in Trousers!"
Fuse the two of them into one single uber-boyfriend. :3

Re: Girl Genius XIII: "Gott's Leedle Feesh in Trousers!"
They'll both die, and in a surprising turn of events Agatha will hook up with Moloch and/or Violetta.

Re: Girl Genius XIII: "Gott's Leedle Feesh in Trousers!"
Agatha dies, and Gil marries Tarvek.

Eh, it won't happen until their kids of legal age, I believe the official word was last time anyone mentioned it.

Re: Girl Genius XIII: "Gott's Leedle Feesh in Trousers!"
I still don't buy the love triangle -- it feels like they're just pushing it too hard, not like something that organically happened. Agatha's initial relationship with Gil felt organic. Hell, I could even buy her relationship with Tarvek as being something organic with a bit more work.
But when they have all these other characters commenting on it and acting like it's this big thing? It feels... forced. Like they're trying to have the characters say things they want us to be thinking, or something. Agatha's individual relationship with Gil feels fine, and even her relationship with Tarvek might work if it were the only one in the story, but the way the characters view each other and the way Agatha relates to the two of them sort of rings false to me -- it doesn't feel like they're reacting the way real people would react, somehow, like they're falling into their roles simply because that's what's required for the Big Exciting Love Triangle and not because they're supposed to be real believable people.
I mean. Show, don't tell. It's awkward to have all the supporting characters going around saying "OH MY GOD A LOVE TRIANGLE" like this.
(It also feels like this entire section was inserted purely because they realized that the fanbase generally wasn't warming to Tarvek -- making him look awesome with a heroic rescue, then having Agatha kiss him, etc. Which isn't necessarily bad -- Tarvek is clearly part of the story they want to tell, so they definitely need to that work at selling him -- but it's a bit too obvious for my tastes.)

This is not just a set of personal relationships. These are political and celebrity events. Will and Kate? Tomkat? Levi and Bristol? Anniston/Pitt/Jolie? It would be less believable if the masses weren't gossiping and betting on the outcomes.

Interesting. It looks like the Baron may be able to resist the wasp because he was in spark mode at the time he got wasped.

I read that a bit differently.

That is, being in full-blown spark mode while being given orders might let him break the control.

I think that one is the more likely.
