Okay, whatever floats your boat!
I think she's perpetually cheerful.

Sort of. My race, the faunus, all have animalistic traits. Some have monkey tails, others have bull horns, and others have fox ears, for example. We share Vytal with humans.
Caelynn replies.
OH I am sorry! Can we pretend I talked about the ears? :smallwink:
The drink keeps on bubbling. Like an oil toy. Little bright red bubbles break off and roll down onto the white layer and fall and vanish.
"Faunus." Ykysa repeats it with care. "I am sorry to ask. But. You do not mean the same as catgirl do you? It does not sound like it."

The nine-tailed woman, still ensconced in the shadows of her robe, heaves a crestfallen sigh. A second passes, then two. When the third is upon them, her eyes begin to glow with entrancing violet light. It's absolutely mesmerizing. If the kitsune so much as glances at the nine-tailed woman's eyes, she may find it difficult to look away from them ever again. Why would she want to look away in the first place? There's something about them. She might feel as though she could gaze into them forever. She might feel as though she should gaze into them forever. She may curse each and every blink of her eyes. She must look. She must...
She may feel herself becoming more tractable. You want to please her. You need to please her. You live to serve her. Whatever she commands. Her will be done. In this life and the next. Obey. Obey her. Obey to the lady with the glowing violet eyes. Forever. Her will be done. Heart. Mind. Soul. All her's, would she have them. In this life and the next.
Her's.
"You want to stay with me, don't you?"
Forever.
And the staring happens. The kitsune isn't able to look away and after a few blinks she started to put the other woman in her mind to see her the whole time. Well, the scenes that start in her mind possible draw a lot of curtains, since she doens't know much about what the nine tails would like.
The questions she is asked got the most simple answer. "Yes" She is not even able to say more, because she wants to be with her so hard. her ears are directed at the nin tails to get every word, every sound she makes.

Yeah, it sort of applies to batgirl/boy, doggirl/boy, lizardgirl/boy, and more as well.
Caelynn replies.
Maybe you'll find out soon.

OK. First, though, I need to check your side of the story. Venatus reaches out and attempts to give Rayum a pat down. If he carries any bread, she will know.

Niara stops short as Sanji reappears, standing quickly. 'What's happened?' she asks. The hopeful cadence of Sanji's voice was a good omen. She offers a hand to Sasha, to help her up from her heap on the floor, then follows out after the both of them.
Outside, Niara stares up in mild wonderment at the sky. Her drone seems to follow form, it's eye flicking between the glowing pods as they plummet earthwards.
'I don't know,' Niara admits to Sanji. 'I only really use the Nexus as an interim point in my travels, just because of how easy it is to access other planes from here. I don't actually know much about this place...'
((Unfortunately, Niara isn't well-versed about the Nexus organisations. Also, we should probably continue this in Inside, given we're technically all outside the tavern now.))
((This post should wrap up the scene here, and they're still just outside the tavern, so I don't think it'll do any harm to finish in this thread.))
Sanji's brows furrow at Niara's admission; without some help from a large, organized group, it'll be impossible to guarantee the safety of the emigrating yokai. "This is bad," he ponders aloud. "We can't just trust any random stranger with this task..."
"Maybe I can be of some assistance, then?" Sanji whirls around to see a woman in a dark-green coat approaching, the same one who had been watching him from afar earlier. "Of all the people," he exclaims, obviously relieved by her presence. "Midori, you have no idea how glad I am to see you...Did you just arrive, or...?"
"No, I've been here for a couple weeks now," Midori replies. "If only I had seen Aki-chan's gambit coming, maybe I could've prevented all of this from happening...but that hardly matters now. I've been busy learning about this world, and I may be able to convince one of the good-will organizations to aid us. Even if they can't send people to gather the survivors, they'll be able to keep them safe. Send them to [insert GLoG's location here]; the Good League of Good will certainly provide them refuge."
"Are you sure...? We're not just rescuing two or three people; this is the host of an entire world we're talking about."
"Don't worry, I'll work with them to ensure that the proper measures are taken to accomodate everyone." Midori looks over to Sasha and, kneeling down to her level, asks, "Sasha-chan, will you come with me to the League's territory? Sanji-kun will be busy helping the newcomers, and I've got to coordinate with the League...I'd like you to help out by guiding the new arrivals and helping them where you can." She nods silently but glares back at Sanji, almost as if daring him to make some kind of witty remark. Quite the contrary, he sounds surprisingly modest as he simply tells her, "I'm counting on you." Before she has any time to react, he turns and rushes off through the city, speeding to Outside to help his newly-arrived kin.
"That foolish hypocrite...He never changes," Midori muses, shaking her head slightly. "Even after so many years, he's just the same...Well, we should get going. Come on, Sasha-chan." Before following her, though, the young yokai approaches Niara and says, "Thank you for trying to help us. If it weren't for you, we might never have known what happened...When this is all over, I promise to make this up to you."
"I know we haven't been introduced," Midori chimes in, "but if all goes well, we may all owe you a debt of gratitude. I doubt we would've been able to respond as quickly as we have without your assistance in discovering the fate of Other-Gensokyo. Rest assured that you will be compensated accordingly; I give you my word as an oathkeeper." Once their discussion concludes, Sasha and Midori will bid farewell to Niara and get on their way, leaving Inside to appeal to GLoG for amnesty for their brethren...
-
Re: [Nexus] Trog's Tavern CCXLVII
'Then we should ask around. Someone will know what organizations are...'
Niara is silent when Midori arrives. She doesn't want to interject into such an important discussion, so waits just by the door to Trog's and watches.
When Sasha addresses her, she nods. 'I'm just sorry the whole ordeal couldn't have been prevented,' she says, solemnly. 'Just let me know if there's any way I can help further. I'd be glad to.'
She then withdraws yet another something from her pocket - this time a business card. Instead of contact details, however, it has a small raised circle. Niara offers it to Sasha, with a smile. 'Take this. It'll allow you to contact me directly; just press it,' she says.
As for Midori, Niara gives a respectful nod to her words. 'Don't worry about that now. The lives of your people are your primary concern. I wish you luck.'
As the pair leave, Niara fires up her planar orrery again, sighing heavily at the gap in her map where Other-Gensokyo used to be. It left her wondering just how many other worlds were destroyed without anyone's knowledge. It's pretty heavy stuff. She could really use a drink right now...
Luckily, she's at just the place for it.

There doesn't look to be any bread in there either. Just some small chunks of wood, planks and large branches mostly. It looks like some of them are carved but it is hard to get a good look at them in the bag.

"But I am alive and almost free now. And that is the important part. Oh look it is about to give a show!" Ykysa points at the drink. There is one big bubble of Ichor Liquor and it is not sinking back down any more.
It bursts! Bright red ichor spots float everywhere in the vodka and the wine floats upwards in curls and spirals. The white floor of Hemo Colada ripples and gets spotted with red.
"That is a Tell-Tale Heart. It is a fine and fancy drink. And it is full of blood and iron. Very healthy for when you are trying to have a living egg." She fits two straws into the drink and offers one to Caelynn. And leans in close to whisper while doing that.
"But there is one thing we never found out from the papers. And you know. So. What kind is Magtok? Keepers tell us he is ordinary silicon golem."

Thanks!

He's half-cyborg, which technically could qualify as half-silicon golem, with all the electronics inside.

Ykysa stops sipping her own straw.
"Ordinary silicon?" :smallconfused:
There is a mix of thick liquors sticking to the inside of the straw. A Tell-Tale Heart leaves tell-tales everywhere. Stick your tongue out and see the red and white swirls on it. :smalltongue:
"I said he was a ruby golem. And that it showed in his eye." Like her eyes which are shining sparkling blue. There is ivory put over those to make a normal looking eyeball. But the centers are sapphire. Blue. "Keepers laugh, Ykysa is a fool. And I am."

Well, if they count a robot as a silicon golem, they're only half right.

And it was a good guess.

Ykysa smiles at Caelynn. And then sips the drink some more and thinks so long the drink is turning the same color of pink all over.
After awhile she says, "I am not free yet and the keepers do not take visitors. I will be soon though and you can come to Riverside and visit the house I build. And bring the people you love."
The Ladychild looks in her scarves and finds coins for the drink. They are not mint coins. They look like someone cut a tube of gold and not very well. And then scratched the weight on each coin. Cosmo will not have anything to complain about.

Meanwhile, over in the corner, a woman materializes! Or, sorta. Someone did, anyway, but she's.. Odd. Stylized, almost, in some ways, just a little bit off in terms of her proportions; too sleek and streamlined. And the mercury sheen to her skin and hair doesn't help either, or the solid, save for a set of bright red lines quartering them, and perfectly circular, black orbs that make her eyes.
Her clothing's unusual too, nothing but a white vest and a pair of close-fitting white pants, though they're at least apparently normal in themselves, even if the combination and lack of other shirt is odd.

Rayum waits anxiously as Venatus gets up and heads out of the tavern to deal with the shopkeeper. After a few seconds of staying where he was he scuttles over to the window to pear out of it watching Venatus.

Re: [Nexus] Trog's Tavern CCXLVII
Venatus walks to the shop keeper. They have a discussion about Rayum. Venatus reenters the tavern. He says it is not worth it. He is letting it drop.
-
Re: [Nexus] Trog's Tavern CCXLVII
Rayum looks relivied to hear that. He lets out a big sigh and dramatically wipes away some sweat from his forehead that isn't there. "Oh thank you very much Ma'am. You saved me." He says sounding very grateful.

All in a days work. Venatus sighs. She wants some adventuring or exploring to do.
