Re: [Nexus] HALO 178: Mia clementia denor esto
((Yes, I missed it.))
When the light hits, Nine doesn't react appreciably, his slit-pupils contracting to almost nothing and dark, translucent membranes covering his eyes. His hands snap to his ears at the sound, but he takes them away after a moment and rolls his neck. He doesn't appear injured.
I'd have had him get angry and demand an explanation, but you've already moved on so he just scowls and walks off.
-
Re: [Nexus] HALO 178: Mia clementia denor esto
((Fair enough, sorry for snapping at you. Been in a bad mood of late.))

"Umm... I dunno, really. Haven't been out much here... The one place I know doesn't really work for you I think? Though you have got the wings..." She frowns thoughtfully, trailing off and staring at a cabinet.

Hmm... I heard about a place that opened recently, if you like cozy things, cheese, and management being the last remnant of an attempted takeover of the omniverse by a pack of insane robots.

"...And here I thought things were crazy when I'm from... Sure, let's get going! As long as it's not going to explode or anything. I heard something about a cheese-forge that blew up a few worlds over related to something like that."
-
Re: [Nexus] HALO 178: Mia clementia denor esto
Carrie shakes her head, offering her hand.
Nope, I've heard really good things about this place and none of them are explodey. Also it's called Quesadystopia and that's fantastic.
-
Re: [Nexus] HALO 178: Mia clementia denor esto
Tiri takes her hand, giggling and nodding, and, presumably they go to wherever this place of cheese is located!

Re: [Nexus] HALO 178: Mia clementia denor esto
[Entrance]
One inactive member who is still technically not a villain arrives. Arlem is not wearing her mask or carrying her knife, but is easily recognizable as herself.
More importantly, she has two prisoners in tow (unless they have pulled off an exceedingly subtle mid-post escape), two gnomish worshipers of Bane involved in human sacrifices.
They are interrupted by a superheroine, but will probably arrive later on.
-
Re: [Nexus] HALO 178: Mia clementia denor esto
Entrance
The prisoners are still here! They aren't that good, not yet. The older one is a gnomish boy, with brown hair and eyes, aged about fourteen, wearing a red checked cotton shirt and denim dungarees, with a pair of sturdy working boots on his feet. One of his hands is shackled to Arlem's. His other arm is draped around the other prisoner, a seven-year-old (or equivalent) gnomish girl wearing a pink, frilly dress. She has long blonde hair and brown eyes, and looks similar enough to the other to suggest close family kinship. She's clutching a travel bag containing her favourite clothes and toys. On her feet are some equally practical shoes, though not quite as sturdy.
As above, so below.

"Kyne, sweety, that's not how you do it. Making someone miserable for forever is really mean. It's better for everyone if, since he makes you miserable, just to avoid him.
And what do you mean by that?" Civvy asks, eyebrow raised.

Re: [Nexus] HALO 178: Mia clementia denor esto
Reinholdt arrives back in HALO and starts looking around. Trying to find Kyne, but I suppose he can run into someone else.

"I will try, but don't assume a letter."
If nothing else comes from Tobias Tovpir will leave the office.
Think it would be best handling that ooc, since Tovpir is only difgging himself a cave close to the shuttel station. So he will be around in the base most of the time after all.

Re: [Nexus] HALO 178: Mia clementia denor esto
((GrandDM: Just so you know, I'll have Tobias contact Harald when it's time to build the bases in Inside and Riverside. IC-time, it will be shortly after the meeting and most likely before demonic possession, but it may take awhile OoC-time, due to the AMENside battle dragging on.))

Oh yeah? Well, all right. I was briefed that a lot of people come from worlds with low tech levels, so I guess I just made a bad assumption. He shrugs.
[Somewhere]
... Look, nevermind. I've got to go. Sorry I was bothering you when you were trying to work. Kyne stands up, pockets the sharpening stone, hides the knife, straightens her clothes, checks her breath, and disappears.
[Entrance Hall]
Oh, it's just you. There's an assassin in front of Rein! What do you think you're doing here? Bet he was hoping Kyne would have taken over from Angela on the Rein-glomping duties.
-
Re: [Nexus] HALO 178: Mia clementia denor esto
[Entrance Hall]
Checks her breath huh? Someone's smitten. :smalltongue:
Also, he's more than happy to go without the glomping. Unless he's particularly sad. Which would probably be on every day knowing him.
Reinholdt flashes Kyne a gleeful smile! "I came here looking for you. How are you doing today? Civvy on entrance duty vacation?"

Re: [Nexus] HALO 178: Mia clementia denor esto

Kyne coolly arches an eyebrow at him as she picks and chooses which questions to answer. Civiron is busy with paperwork. I'm fine. At least, I was fine.

"Oh? What happened? Everything alright?" Reinholdt asks, concerned.

"Oh, yes. There seem to be plenty of people who had never even seen a gun before coming here," Thariza says. "Me, I'm famliar with guns, but I prefer metal weapons and magic. It's been a while since I had a good scrap, though. I kind of miss the front line. The ghosts rarely relent."

Re: [Nexus] HALO 178: Mia clementia denor esto

She looks down her nose at him, a neat trick considering she's 5'3''. That whole "Powerful Deity" thing makes her loom over anyone she's talking to. You showed up. The Aspect practices her haughty disdain for a few more seconds, then allows a small smile to show on her face. Well, you obviously want something from me, so what is it?
[Forge]
"Ghosts"? Like, zombies or bodiless ghost ghosts?
-
Re: [Nexus] HALO 178: Mia clementia denor esto
[Forge]
"The bodiless kind," Thariza says. "My post back home was on the front line with a never-ending army of human ghosts. We keep destroying them, but they keep coming back. We haven't figured out a way to put them down for good yet."
-
Re: [Nexus] HALO 178: Mia clementia denor esto
Entrance
"Oh." Reinholdt shifts there uncomfortably for a moment. "Well a couple of things. One of the councilers at GLoG would like to meet you. Nice and all, but I'm more interested in if you wanted to go to Thanksmas village with me."
-
Re: [Nexus] HALO 178: Mia clementia denor esto
[Forge]
Eesh, that doesn't sound good... He shivers.
[Entrance]
Kyne hesitates like she only read the first two pages of the script and isn't sure how to act now. Why? I mean, why does someone from GLoG want to talk to me? I know why you want me to go to the Thanksmas place.
-
Re: [Nexus] HALO 178: Mia clementia denor esto

"Oh, I just maybe might have suggested you for some sort of honesty policy they're possibly making me enact probably." There was a lot of mumbling there...
-
Re: [Nexus] HALO 178: Mia clementia denor esto

Elaborate. Kyne steps forward and looks up at him curiously.

Reinholdt shifts again. "There's this thing I have to do where I have to be honest to one person..."

Civvy sighed, and packed up her paperwork. It was so much easier to do with company, though Kyne wasn't listening anyway.
Oh well.
With that, she was pretty much open for interaction.

I guess that's the reason why HALO has so many people of different, uh, types working together. We're all fighting against evil, right?
[Entrance Hall]
... And for whatever reasons, probably having to do with getting out of this, you chose me. She finishes for him.

Re: [Nexus] HALO 178: Mia clementia denor esto

Telling the truth. That could be inconvenient for you, so you'll promise to tell only the truth to me and then I'll never see you again. She teases him. At least, she thinks she's teasing him. It's touching a bit on her unconscious fear that he's just stringing her along. Anyway, I won't ask why you picked me of all people. Of all the sluts you fool around with when you're not with me. But I accept.

"I guess so. There are similar groups back home. I never really considered joining one, though. I just needed somewhere to belong to, after, uh... being stranded here,"" Thariza says, sounding as though she almost said something else.
