Shut up.
One of the ropes whips around to give Omiko a very light smack on the back of the head.
This is something she will be repeating very, very often during the trip if Omiko doesn't say something. But that's what you get for making your ship passive-aggressive.
Re: Silly Plots 2: Electric Boogaloo
Sailing
I'd say it's a much more harmless habit than shoving people into inanimate objects. the ship continues to grumble as they carry on their way.
Also leaky ones. I think the rain's getting into a hole in the stern. How'd you manage to not make a whole boat?
Re: Silly Plots 2: Electric Boogaloo
Sailing
There's only a small hole at the stern, behind where the entrance to the interior of the ship is. It simply wasn't sealed up properly as the boards molded together.
One of the eyes opens up as Omiko approaches it.
So can we talk about the eyes thing? Because I'm pretty sure I'm seeing out of actual eyes right now. Why did you give your ship eyes? This feels almost as freaky as it probably looks.
Re: Silly Plots 2: Electric Boogaloo
Sailing
The hole is just large enough that Omiko's paw might fit through it. Clara pauses.
Okay. Next question: Why in the hell did my wetsuit have eyes?
Re: Silly Plots 2: Electric Boogaloo
Sailing
Another pause.
Omiko did you make my clothes sentient without telling me? And what are you gonna do about that leak? It's dripping. the ship continues to demand.
Re: Silly Plots 2: Electric Boogaloo
Sailing
No, you said 'you wouldn't want clothes with a mind of their own' and then made a bunch of outfits. So I figured it was off the table. And then I should remind you that you turned me into a boat. Twice. So you're not weaseling out of this one. says the ship, obviously not moving to interrupt Omiko's whittling.
Re: Silly Plots 2: Electric Boogaloo
Sailing
Once we find your crew, you're getting me out of this boat and getting me home.
This will be the last thing said to Omiko on the rest of the journey to the island.
The boat will also stop steering itself.
Re: Silly Plots 2: Electric Boogaloo
Volcano Island
The ship sails into proximity to the island without hassle.
This is as close as a ship can get without running aground. So either you help me out here or you're on your own and I sit here with sensory deprivation going insane. finally speaks the Red Cow Queen.
Re: Silly Plots 2: Electric Boogaloo
Volcano Island
Well, the ship certainly isn't going anywhere without the only person capable of extracting the sapient person within it. Its exact circumstances will differ depending on how long it takes Omiko to return and with what.
Re: Silly Plots 2: Electric Boogaloo
Volcano Island
Oh, the Queen is there alright. Unfortunately, it seems to have run itself aground on the beach and is not currently available as an escape route.
This might pose a problem for Omiko and the crew, though it is at least a defensible position.
Re: Silly Plots 2: Electric Boogaloo
That is a matter of some concern. But it's tall and has guns at least.
So the pirate crew does their best to climb aboard and then pull up the ropes before turning fire.
"Why are you on the beach? Just wondering."
Re: Silly Plots 2: Electric Boogaloo
Volcano Island
I'm not going to be your stupid boat, Omiko. You have twenty other guys here, use one of them if you need a sacrifice. I've had enough, and the only reason I don't push you all off is that I won't get anyone killed over your screw up. a rope gesticulates angrily in Omiko's direction.
Re: Silly Plots 2: Electric Boogaloo
Volcano Island
Well, looks like you win. Yay. How'd they even get here? Pretty big distance from the wreck. asks Clara, bored but waiting until everyone's healed up.
Re: Silly Plots 2: Electric Boogaloo
Volcano Island
The ship isn't magically hard to break. But ripping off the figurehead does two things. One, it removes the brain so to speak, causing the eyes to wink out and the ship suddenly will seem a lot more rickety as it's reduced to soggy wood, one skeleton, and the parts of Omiko's binding spell. Not falling apart yet, but probably a bad sign.
The second thing is that it makes Clara pretty far away all the way down in the sand.
What? I'm pretty sure you're threatening me up there but I can't actually hear you. she calls sincerely, pained but with an odd ability to ignore it.
Re: Silly Plots 2: Electric Boogaloo
Volcano Island
Clara rolls her eyes.
"Okay Omiko, how about we bargain, then? You and I both need to get off this island, but I'd like my hands afterward. What do you want from me in exchange for releasing me? " asks the figurehead.
Re: Silly Plots 2: Electric Boogaloo
Volcano Island
Well back in Inside I could scope out targets for you. Lots of rich people go to the theatre and it'll only get better once I make it big. Or I guess I could be part of your crew for a while. I mean I'm bigger than your crew right now and probably scarier. I don't really know Omiko I'm new to the pirate thing. she admits.
