I really, REALLY hate when game companies do this in patches:
'Stat fixes and tweaks'
TELL US WHAT YOU CHANGED, don't force us to parse through the units trying to figure out where you put +/- stats.
EDIT: Also it looks like Khaine was the only one that put in his turn for both games prior to the patch so we'll just need him to resubmit and we should be good without any delays.
Just posting that I probably won’t get my turn on in time here. (Been away from computer for a couple days now). Will try to send it in tonight or tomorrow morning.
Given that houlio staled, could we get a turn rollback?
Let me consult - he asked for it like right before the deadline but he did ask for it, I'm inclined to put it through on the condition that neither side move forces or increase PD to try to save the provinces that traded hands this turn (Gold Mountains, Barra and Earthshell Mountains).
OK I'll send the rollback out now.
According to llamaserver it maintains the .2h files from last time so nobody needs to send in turns. As soon as I see the Berytos turn in I can force hosting and it should go through with the same actions from all people (plus Berytos new turn). So nobody needs to send in a new turn except Berytos.
If you see this after you've already sent in a changed turn, then go back to your sent emails and re-send the SAME .2h file that you sent in previously.
Edit:
CAUTION - there is no guarantee that all battles will have the same outcome as it will re-fight the battles, and this WILL 100% for sure change the random events that occurred on Turn 10.
OK guys Berytos has put in their turn I'm going to force the host and everything SHOULD go through fine, if somebodys turn has gotten lost I'll roll it back again and we'll all resubmit.
It looks like nobody else put in a new turn so all commands should be same, but just to repeat the warning there is zero guarantee that the battles will proceed in the same order and with the same results.
And if anybody thinks there's even a chance they may miss the submission please let me know right away, we've got it on auto-host so it's not a huge deal to push the deadline back, it will host as soon as everybody has submitted their turns so its better to be safe.
Pangaea, Pythium and Vanheim all stalled this turn. Could their players confirm they're still around or should I start looking for a trio of subs?
Shoot, I thought I had another night--it's been a long week(end).
I'm still around, and I also thought the turn timer was set a day later.
Oops, my bad. Could've sworn I had more time too
It's set on 2 days right now, do we want to increase the time to 3 days? That might slow it down but as long as everybody is submitting their turns in a timely manner it won't be that much.
Yeah if you feel like it's going too fast you can request a turn time increase.
If it were just me that staled I wouldn't, but with three people staling it's looking like the pace is getting excessive. The micro is also picking up a bit, so there's that.
Ok, this is an intro game so changed hosting time to 74 hours, plus reminder e-mails will now be sent 24 hours before hosting so if you're having a particularly busy day you should still have time to check your e-mail and send the turn.
So people, how are your games doing? Don't feel compelled to share sensitive information, just a general feel would do. :smallwink:
I'll say this. The 4v4 is definitely taking an interesting turn.
It's been a violent year one (year 0? is that what they're calling it now?), to say the least.
I'm going to be doing some travelling tomorrow and the day after. I might need a delay on both games, with the 4v4 being particularly likely.
You got lucky this time, Arco...that was one of the jankier routs I've ever seen.
This 4v4 has been my first foray into Dominions multiplayer, and I'm just happy that there's been quite a bit of back and forth even before Year 1. Kudos to you, Team Infidel.
Well.. i did make a few minor mistakes with my initial expansion.
But thankfully its been kinda peacefull Under the Sea.
Like I said, if you hadn't gotten (extraordinarily) lucky there, you'd be in a far worse position than me. Even still, I'm not sure. How does it feel to have spent half your first year's capitol recruitments on non-mages? :smalltongue:
Edit: Also, have you looked at the income of the provinces you took from me? I was joking after Hinnom got swamped that they were making more off 3 provinces than I was with 10. (Also, I'm not even sure I know what even caused that rout because it looks like it happened because of the chief, and I don't think he had anything to be afraid of)
If an army's total HP drops below half their starting max then everybody needs to start making morale checks. The barbaric ulmians of course couldn't take it one more second and ran while Arco's enlightened slingers stood their ground after 2/3 their forces were slaughtered.
Let's put it this way--I don't know how the survivor bonus works with commanders. If they work the way I thought they did (obviously I was wrong), the commander shouldn't have been able to fail that morale check.
Commanders work as their own squads, they need to make their own separate checks. Like at the start of that battle one was reduced to 2 HP and thus ran right away.
I understand that--my argument is that (with a survivor bonus in place which grants between 0 and 5 to the morale check based on remaining members of the squad, which I assumed was based on relative losses and a commander at full health obviously hasn't lost anything) those last two commanders shouldn't have been able to fail their morale checks. Obviously I'm wrong about something here, I just don't know what.
Morale roll: squad morale + DRN + survivor bonus
Fear roll: 13 + DRN
Considering the DRN is 2d6 (that can expode in natural 6s), it's entirely possible to fail even assuming a +5 survivor bonus
Oh, it's 2d6? I thought it was 1d6; if that's the case, that solves it (fun fact, even the detailed battle reporting doesn't show morale rolls).
