Re: You! (A picture/Media thread) Thread 30: Roman Numerals? What Roman Numerals?
I went on a jailbreak a few weeks back, and I ended up getting all the way to France without spending any money. It was a pretty cool experience. We got lifts from all sorts: truck drivers and drug dealers and lecturers and cops and Romanians who smoked for the entire journey, blasted loud Romanian rap music and whose dashboard kept saying the brakes were broken. And all in the name of charity, of course. photoez:
Also, bonus boring-ass photo of me not being in France or doing anything exciting.

Here's a picture of me at my 16th birthday party a few days ago! :D
(I'm the guy wearing the Julio Scoundrel shirt by the way)

Hitchhiking sounds like so much fun. Apparently the area around where I live is some of the easiest hitchhiking in the US (still much more difficult than it is in Europe, from what I've heard) so I might have to give it a try at some point.

It was definitely something to tick off the bucket list, and yeah, in England it actually wasn't that hard. I found that truck drivers and university folk are quite open to picking up hitch-hikers. We were doing it for charity, so managed to convince a few more people than usual to let two strangers sit in their car for a while, but it was still surprisingly easy to get all the way down to Dover.
France, however, was very different. I don't speak any French and neither did the guy I was doing it with, all our signs were in English, and we arrived in Calais, where the locals have seen English people doing so much stupid stuff that we were probably just another bunch of crazy Englishmen to them. We spent seventeen hours in Calais not getting a lift. It was ridiculous.
So basically, my hitch-hiking advice boils down to 'pester truck drivers, avoid France'.

I thought that last bit was just good advice in general. The French scare me a little.

Snares, that looks awesome.
Koda, looks like a good time, but why are all three of your friends in that photo a head shorter than you? Just seems a bit odd.
So, more Gondoliers photos!
Taken from the audience, during act 2, by our rehearsal pianist.

I'm in highschool and on the taller side. They are all in my grade. I suppose I just have shorter friends.
Here's the whole friend group. All in the same grade except for my Brother. Who is the really short kid in gray.
