"Maybe they're needed to take care of the Emperor's men? One Duchess can hardly kill all of them by herself. But where did she get them? Maybe if we could find their leader, nobody would have to kill each other." He stops, then turns quickly to face August again. "Do any of you know who their leader is?"

"Hmm, well he did take some heavy hits in the fight, though it looks like the worst would have healed", Vindal frowns, "Strange, it's almost like he's under a spell, but I detect no sign of such. Can he walk? He needs to be properly examined, but we shouldn't stay here."
Relik is going to respond to the madman, but stops, staring vacantly at the left-hand corridor. "Whatever the case, you may have to use it.
If we're moving, it has to be now, otherwise I think we'll find more or those things down that hall." He grabs his flail and moves adjacent to the left-hand door, ready to stop anything coming through with a flail to the face.

Hawke runs towards the door to take his position, and a group of the scaly creatures lurk just behind the door. They seem reluctant to advance, after the first was so quickly cut down, but more of them rush forward, some gliding through the air in short jumps. Most are armed with two short swords, a few with axes. Behind the halfling sized creatures he sees one as tall as a human, also white-scaled and armed with a nasty looking spiked chain. From even further behind, he catches a glance of red scales, but the distance and the crowd in between prevents him from making out more details.
