I might get something up for FI when I get back from school
Seeing how amazing your work with a tablet is already, the feeling is mutual. :3
*Shakes wing*
I probably won't respond for a few days, since I am currently making a Miridia comic and will be visiting my grandparents for the final half of my vacation, but I will try to getvengeancea response in as soon as possible!
As for everything posted while I was wing-typing this: Yay!
I think I should download the newest version... because I'm still using the one from last time I posted in an ABR thread.
Is.. is that a turnip? ..With a face?
I feel like I'm missing something here.

I felt like I was missing something too :smalltongue:
Oh, of course. That explains everything. <.<
Now if only I had a clue as to where to go with this.. *scratches head*
Out of curiosity, what is your avatar? A scarecrow?
Yeah. Scarecrow avatars are sort of an inside running joke I have with another playgrounder.
Here's the original version in case anyone wants a reference, I guess.
I guess it's about my turn to make a response, but I have even fewer ideas now that a robot is involved too. :smalltongue:
... Must... think... of a way... to draw... a raccoon... from the side!!!
TO EXPERIMENTATION!!
Aww I died... by chainsaw-chucks. Awesome.
Now how do I respond to that?
Shrinking a size category? That's what happen to Mario.
Or alternatively, the headless horseman juggling trick. :3
Here's what I've got so far for a raccoon viewed from the side.
Though he looks more like a grayscale rat to me. Thoughts?
I think the head might be a bit big for a raccoon, and the cheeks perhaps a bit too rounded, but it looks quite nice to me. Much better than any raccoon I could do in OotS-style.
I think the big reason for how it might look rat-like is the lack of clear signs of fur-length in OotS-style artwork, raccoons tend to have much longer fur than rats. They are nature's plushies! :3
Thoughts.
I would maybe change the mask so it looks like it's wrapping around the head a little more, at least on one side. Rather than it just ending there. Next I'd change the tail to look more plush like it does in your avatar. Which is easy to do with some swervy lines and a few zig-zags. Finally the biggest issue is perhaps the head, which I notice highly resembles a kobold's. What you need to do is find a way to make the snout more pronounced.
But then again I've never drawn a raccoon before, so take what you will. :smalltongue:
Nope, seriously vicious things. A badger is fairly comparable in terms of the raccoon's scale of sheer ferocity.
It's a fairly common thing for the smaller hibernating mammals. If you're going to spend a good chunk of the year deep asleep, I guess it helps to be able to rip someone's eyes out within a second of being rudely woken up by a predator.
Remind me to bring a bigger stick when I find one in my garbage :smalleek:
EDIT: I also wanted to say how glad I am to be back to ABR. I had a lot going on these past few years, and every time I tried to get back into it I got yanked away by school. Now that my senior year is winding down, I finally have the time and energy to work on this
Stop being so enthusiastic about ABR. It's probably contagious. :smalltongue:
Edit - Hah! I just checked the ABR member list, and then I realized I haven't updated it in over a year.Bet I won't have to add more than 5 names to it.
Double edit - Well now I'm sad because I saw we made the art thread in 2009.
Triple edit - And now I'm depressed because I didn't need to add one name to the member list. Not one. Forget this noise I'm going to bed. :smallyuk:
I guess I'd have to bring a REALLY BIG stick then. Or a shotgun named "A Big Stick." Either one.
If you are desperate to update the list, why not remove the space between the words in my username?
I saw that I was back in thread 3, and went to check.
My images are gone :smallfrown: Well at least we don't have any more record of me making a fool of myself.
What host did you use? Photobucket and such have a tendency to erase images after extended periods of time. Imageshack is usually the best way to go for comics, as they seem to last the longest.
Edit - I should probably note that the latest comic was made assuming Skimmer's random kill of Forrestfire was "following" the comic before it, and not just a random kill. I guess.
I kind of wish I knew where this whole bird shtick was going. :smalltongue:
But if we do that, we'd have yet another plot :smalltongue:
Well then I guess we just have to wait and see until someone makes something happen. :smallwink:
I like how in the last 4 days we've had more comics combined than in the last 4 months. It would seem that the solution to the age-old nobody drawing stuff problem is to.. draw stuff.
We should have thought of it sooner. :smalltongue:
I just hope we can keep up the pace until the ball is rolling again.
I will have one up the moment I stop being lazy and finish my skimmer template.
