Re: Cursed, of Course: A Fantasy Comic
Somehow, I think the stormfallen got it. Somehow.
Also, dear gosh, it's Coc's Solaire. Well, this will be interesting, and I wonder how he'll react to Pellan.
Isn't Pellan technically a chosen undead? ....Goodness, I hope the similarities stop there.
Thank you for reading this, sorry for the silence lately,
and I hope you have a decent day!
{Edit: My own division-of-four page-starting curse! It returns! I thought I was free!}

Re: Cursed, of Course: A Fantasy Comic
You know, it just occurred to me that Pellan not recognizing the banner might be more than it seems, given how easily everyone else recognized it. I wonder if that's another clue that he might have been a skeleton for... longer than we think.

And this is why you don't build characters that can't communicate with the rest of the party.
It's even worse if you play the only person with a functional brain.:smallamused:
I mean sure, the other morons won't listen anyway, but at least you can voice your frustrations in a way they understand.
Okay, violence is a pretty universal language, but attacking your comrades ablative shields is kinda frowned upon.
Also it works better if accompanied by a explanation why they made you hit them.

Re: Cursed, of Course: A Fantasy Comic
Guys, it's really not that hard to just go ahead and say "no, I'm not a bandit."
Also, it sounds like different cultures have different views of the people falling out of the sky. Hmm.

Re: Cursed, of Course: A Fantasy Comic
You know, I think that was one of the Flame's least depressing comments.

Update!
Page 80 - Sunspot.
Been really busy with my writing lately, so I'm going to have to set aside some time to build some more scripts before next week's update (don't worry, I'm still several strips ahead). Hopefully it won't cut into update time.

Re: Cursed, of Course: A Fantasy Comic
Lots more interesting cultural tidbits.
...and are they really blaming this on Bortha's former gang? Because I see some holes in that interpretation. :smallamused:

Re: Cursed, of Course: A Fantasy Comic
I mean, considering that they were bandits... It's not quite impossible I guess?

I suppose it may or may not actually be correct, but I was thinking more that's a bad idea to pin a crime on the gang your teammate used to lead.

Well, considering that Bortha willingly left... Dunno, we'll have to see.

Re: Cursed, of Course: A Fantasy Comic
'Adi' isn't the most intuitive derivative of 'Ardelie' (though there's plenty weirder ones in real life). Though you think if he knew her he'd either know she couldn't talk or have a stronger reaction to finding out.
Also, more instances of Pellan not recognizing stuff everyone else knows, hmm.

Re: Cursed, of Course: A Fantasy Comic
Ah, slight mistake on my part, there! That line is supposed to be in italics to indicate another language... I'm about to go to bed, so I'll probably fix it some time tomorrow.

Re: Cursed, of Course: A Fantasy Comic
So Adi is like Nani in Japanese?

Pretty close, actually. I imagined it as something not too dissimilar from one of the Japanese vocal "Oh?" sounds, a bit like when someone goes "ara?" (Once, not twice. That's an entirely different meaning.)

We still don't know what her interest in Craftsguild Marigo is. She should really exposit more.

After this latest comic, I'm reaaaaaaally getting the impression that it's not a friendly interest.

Had a busy Easter weekend, so I might take a this next week off just so I can get everything else in order, as well as this. A bit frustrating, but you can't control when the holidays smash your schedule.

Re: Cursed, of Course: A Fantasy Comic
It's at times like these where I really start to think that the skeleton thing wasn't actually a causal factor and Pellan's just a jerk.

I couldn't replicate this issue on any other computer, but I re-uploaded it anyway. Can you tell me if the new one works?
